Arjun, like Michael Tal, always takes his opponent into a thick forest out of which he alone comes out unscathed! A Great player that you do not find at the top most level! And what's more, he does this again and again with undiluted passion, dedication, accuracy and ruthlessness! We are definitely looking at a future World Champion!
@@Xenobtexture Agreed. In terms of "magic" on the chess board, Michael Tal has no equal. Only that he himself agrees that there are two types of sacrifices - the correct ones & his. Irrespective of this he was definitely a Magician from Riga. Of course, in modern day chess, the player who comes close to his creativity and magic is undoubtedly Daniil Dubov. Perhaps Arjun scores well through effectiveness, calculation & consistency not to speak of finding brilliant moves.
@ first of i can say same thing to you but at the same time i expected at least some logical reply , i just take it as my responsibility to correct d*mb people like you again sorry for harsh word but couldnt find anything better
Honestly, I think Arjun is stronger than Gukesh now. This is absolutely insane how in peak form he is. This is the strongest he's ever been. So excited to keep watching him. He's so young too!
GM ARJUN is a very powerful player of the world. Arjun'S calculations of chess always be accurate and tricky. We all wishes that soon he became world no. 1 player.
@19:27 Arjun takes a sip of water and it reminded me of a famous quote "If Tal sacrifices a piece, take then think... If Botvinik sacrifices a piece, think then take... If Petrosian sacrifices a piece resign..." If Vidit takes a sip of water you'll be hard pressed to salvage a draw from that position... If Gukesh takes a sip of water you'll have to check if your return ticket is confirmed... If Arjun takes a sip of water you need to reconsider your life choices, take up Bingo...
I admire Arjun's composure in complex positions. That was a very difficult endgame to go into with such confidence. That also means he probably calculated some of the moves way in advance. That bishop sacrifice on h3 says everything about the depth of Arjun's calculation capabilities but also his confidence. Even his opponent seemed surprised by the move since himself didn’t believe the move could work. Then Arjun having his knight go back all the way to the first rank to come back up... amidst all that pressure... simply amazing. When Magnus gets tired and "decides" to step down... he will be the next #1 for sure. Simply amazing talent.
@@newaccount-cz6tb thanks for correction. I meant Iran, Central Asia and even Turkey which is actually Europe.English-language publications have used ‘Central Asia’ to refer to areas of the former USSR, to areas of China and Mongolia and to areas that cross the former-Soviet/Chinese border. Use of Middle Asia to refer to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan collectively, avoids this ambiguity.
Chess needs understanding, analysis, logical reasoning, proper application, patience, perseverance. Whenever these great players are playing, I see them so cool and one great thing they never lose, they learn. They never behave like they are something exceptionally talented.
This is why people call Arjun a madman. Sometimes he plays these crazy moves, avoiding the obvious good moves, and even though acc to engine it's bad, he ends up winning.
1 yr back nobody would hv thought he would become No 2.Prag or Gukesh yes but never Arjun. Hv u seen cold assassins in Hollywood??He seems to hv their nerves of steel..well played..
Arjun shouldnt be compared with magnus as we can see that at beginning his opponent is little better in position than him and overall accuracy of arjun is low and this cant be done with other top players that having low accuracy in start and a blunder by opponent in middle will give favour
The continuous hype of the commentator for Arjun, like from the very beginning of the game, was completely unnecessary. What is this drooling over him even when the position is completely equal?

I feel Arjun is slowly becoming like another Bobby Fischer
Arjun will forever be known as 'madman of chess'
He just needs to start showing up drunk to games and smoke a cigarette mid-game and he can fulfill his Mikhail Tal legacy

Gukesh is a solid steel monster and he does calculate insanely.
It's a different story about what happens if Gukesh vs Arjun
Really 2800 game !
I enjoyed Sagar Shah commentry as well, like he is saying this may happen but the situation turns upside down in 1-2 moves 😂
The most underrated player.. now he shows everyone who is Arjun actually.. loving you brother 😮
He isn't underrated anymore
