You should definitely go if you want to. Better if you have someone to travel with of course, but don’t let anything hold you back. I’m English (though I live in Australia) and travel a lot through the US, so I know you have your own amazing country to explore with so much to do there, but definitely worth getting out into the world a bit.
Travel is never perfect and can be hard at times, but it creates lasting memories!

Happy Birthday to all of you. I’ve never been to UK but I did live in Germany for 3 years while in the Army. My whole family liked it there.

Not trying to troll, but do Americans underestimate the time needed between connecting flights? I’ve just got back to Australia (I’m British though) after flying to London, Paris, Orlando, San Francisco, LA and back down to Sydney and in different airports I’ve seen people with North American accents literally running through in a panic to catch a connecting flight! In Sydney there were around 6 different families doing it within an hour or so (going from the Qantas international terminal to the domestic one on that annoying bus). Some were causing issues with other passengers by jumping to the front of the queue (it was other Americans who called them out).
Although it is possible to book the second flight close to your first one landing, even the airlines don’t recommend it. We like at least 2-3 hours gap, to account for delays, time spent taxiing on the runway before you get off, baggage delays, immigration queues, transfers to other terminals, further security checks, time to get to the new gate….

❤ this advantage ❤️ Have a blast!!London is such a great jumping off start to visiting Europe….Eurostar to Paris just over two hours trip….Ireland is about one hour & twenty flight ✈️ and so is Edinburgh from LHR. Edinburgh is also 4 hours by train 🚆 Looking forward to seeing more of your European journey.

Tickets are cheap to London rn. I'm snagging a $700 flight from LAX. Using it as a jumping off point to Southern Spain. I'm excited. I need to see France one day.
I don't think we'll ever go to the UK again (though ... never say never). If we do though, it won't be in Economy again. I recall how draining it was 20 years ago, no way I'd survive it now. Though, to be fair, we did leave from CA and it took 11 hours plus being at the airport 3 hours early. So happy to learn about the airport you all used. Normally we'd go to Atlanta, but not after seeing this! Looking forward to viewing the rest of your UK videos. Also wanted to mention that the food really seems to have changed. We got British foods (breakfast was a scone and clotted cream, etc), in flight snacks were Twigletts or similar. I guess airlines don't put passengers into the spirit of the destination via food anymore. Too bad.

Good for you venturing across the pond. But, as a proud Atlantan, I must tell you that our Hartsfield-Jackson airport is the busiest in the world!
Yeah, Heathrow is busier in terms of international passengers (only Dubai has more), but Atlanta does around 1 million more seats a year

London is a different beast to the rest of the UK. A bit like Paris or New York etc etc. Great places to go, but it can be fast, impersonal, rude (especially Paris 😂)

What a nice surprise to see your London trip! We haven't flown international for many years and love to see London and Paris again! We went to Paris for our wedding anniversary several years ago. Not surprised by the tiny hotel room in London. It's pretty typical. We met a Londoner who said you can't swing a cat in London hotel room without hitting anything! Made our day! Thanks for taking us all along on your adventures! May have to plan a trip now!

That is pretty much a standard UK hotel room size, maybe a little small considering it has 2 beds.
Every thing is bigger in America, your hotels rooms are massive compared to the rest of the world.
That is a small bathroom though.
Stamped mail is a stamp that anyone can buy. Franked mail is business mail you have a business account and get a franking machine. Most postboxes especially in residential areas only have one slot just for normal stamped mail.

Last year we were on our way to Ireland (an overnight flight), and our connecting flight in Philadelphia was delayed, and we had to run over a mile to catch our flight to Ireland….we didn’t make it!!!!
On the bright side, we did get to visit the Philadelphia art museum and take pics where Rocky was on the steps, and saw lots of other amazing sights, so it turned out okay after all.
I am in the middle of your video, so I’m excited to see the rest of your adventures.

Hey Will and Dawn; We both loved this! We have never been on a plane and all of this was very interesting. Thanks for all the footage, it felt like we were riding right with you all. We had no idea what it was like to fly and travel like that and what was included. The clouds were amazing and the turbulence was something. It was surely cramped for space and you had us holding on to our seats!!! You all do a great job and make it interesting and taking the time explaining everything!!

Just a correction for the gentleman who said London Heathrow is the busiest airport in the world. That would be Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson. London Heathrow ranks #7.
But we do have the busiest air traffic with over 6000 planes a day
