OH MY GOODNESS!! When I opened up TH-cam and saw this I got so excited. What an amazing adventure!! I’ve always dreamed of going to England so I’ll be living through you guys while watching haha! I hope you three have the best time.
You should definitely go if you want to. Better if you have someone to travel with of course, but don’t let anything hold you back. I’m English (though I live in Australia) and travel a lot through the US, so I know you have your own amazing country to explore with so much to do there, but definitely worth getting out into the world a bit. Travel is never perfect and can be hard at times, but it creates lasting memories!
just a few points of English History, why we drive on Left side of the road because old medieval Knights who jousted their opponents were usually right handed so the two combatants passed each other on their left side forward so the right arm is free to aim at oncoming knight. also if the Higher authority ie.King ordered the night to reveal himself he had to undo his visor by holding his temple and lifting the jaw piece up to reveal his face to higher authority. that is what a salute is to this very day. you will learn a lot in England and the United Kingdom.
Not trying to troll, but do Americans underestimate the time needed between connecting flights? I’ve just got back to Australia (I’m British though) after flying to London, Paris, Orlando, San Francisco, LA and back down to Sydney and in different airports I’ve seen people with North American accents literally running through in a panic to catch a connecting flight! In Sydney there were around 6 different families doing it within an hour or so (going from the Qantas international terminal to the domestic one on that annoying bus). Some were causing issues with other passengers by jumping to the front of the queue (it was other Americans who called them out). Although it is possible to book the second flight close to your first one landing, even the airlines don’t recommend it. We like at least 2-3 hours gap, to account for delays, time spent taxiing on the runway before you get off, baggage delays, immigration queues, transfers to other terminals, further security checks, time to get to the new gate….

We had no idea what it was like to fly and travel like that and what was included. The clouds were amazing and the turbulence was something. It was surely cramped for space and you had us holding on to our seats!!! You all do a great job and make it interesting and taking the time explaining everything!!

London is a different beast to the rest of the UK. A bit like Paris or New York etc etc. Great places to go, but it can be fast, impersonal, rude (especially Paris 😂)

That is pretty much a standard UK hotel room size, maybe a little small considering it has 2 beds. Every thing is bigger in America, your hotels rooms are massive compared to the rest of the world. That is a small bathroom though. Stamped mail is a stamp that anyone can buy. Franked mail is business mail you have a business account and get a franking machine. Most postboxes especially in residential areas only have one slot just for normal stamped mail.

I love to fly!! I love the view out the windows!!! Last year we were on our way to Ireland (an overnight flight), and our connecting flight in Philadelphia was delayed, and we had to run over a mile to catch our flight to Ireland….we didn’t make it!!!! On the bright side, we did get to visit the Philadelphia art museum and take pics where Rocky was on the steps, and saw lots of other amazing sights, so it turned out okay after all. I am in the middle of your video, so I’m excited to see the rest of your adventures.
"Rule Britannia" is, I think, what the lady was trying to say in the first few seconds of the video. It was a good effort. Personally I wish "Jerusalem" ( `And did those feet in Ancient times walk....` ) was our NA. But my goodness me - how awful ! To have to come to England in the dark.
What a nice surprise to see your London trip! We haven't flown international for many years and love to see London and Paris again! We went to Paris for our wedding anniversary several years ago. Not surprised by the tiny hotel room in London. It's pretty typical. We met a Londoner who said you can't swing a cat in London hotel room without hitting anything! Made our day!
