    I just failed the NCLEX. I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just need to get past this, move on and persevere.

      Just found out I failed for the second time, and boy is it devastating considering I had a job lined up and I work in a hospital with all my classmates that passed so it sucks....I was near passing in every area but ran out of time at question 208, computer did not stop giving me questions. This test is a different animal and I’m bouncing back and going to pass the 3rd time. Hold your head high, because the best nurses I’ve met take this exam multiple times! Once you pass you’ll value that RN and your duties as a nurse far more than the average nurse! We’re not alone in this!

      Just too my Nclex, do not know my results yet, but my gut says I failed. And I am. not ready for that. It hurts to know you've worked so hard and have to wait to begin again.
      This is painful. I keep telling myself I will not give up, but I feel defeated already.

    I gave myself 3 days of mourning after learning I had failed the NCLEX, then I recovered. I reminded that I NEVER GIVE UP. Now I am focusing on test strategies combined with content to make a game plan and reviewing my weak areas. I failed on 2/1/19. God never made the road easy guys, but He is walking with me every step of the way. I am ready to conquer it a second time.

      Good luck to you. I graduated LPN in August 2015 and failed the Nclex. I hate failure so I gave up. I took it again March 2018 and failed again. I have no clue where to begin studying again or how to stay encouraged. I know it can be done but how? Where to begin? 😳😳

    I walked out of the NCLEX 100% swear on my grandmothers grave that I had failed. The subsequent 48 hours were absolutely horrible, stressful, miserable. Believing whole heartedly that I had failed but hoping by some miracle I somehow might have passed. When I found out that I did pass it took time before I even felt happy because of how horrible the whole ordeal was. The reason I’m writing this is because people who don’t pass the NCLEX on the first (or second or more try) are the people who will make the most incredible RNs. After going through that whole ordeal I couldn’t imagine having to bounce back, continue studying, and go through the test and waiting again. The determination and will power that would take is unbelievable and will make you an incredible RN. You guys are amazing and don’t forget that.

    I took my RN NCLEX yesterday and walked out 100% sure that I had failed.
    My exam was about a hour long and at least half of the questions were select all that apply (which I am notoriously terrible at about second guessing myself on). I went home in tears and immediately started googling videos on what to do if you failed and how to get back on your feet afterwards. Your video popped up, and out of all of the ones that I watched, it was the one that motivated me to keep trying. I wanted to thank you for that. Also....
    I woke up today to a license number. :)

      CONGRATS!!! That is so very awesome you passed. I think we all walk out of there feeling like we failed...it is a rough exam. I'm glad my videos helped to motivate you but at least you don't have to use the tips now...which is a great thing hehe. Congrats to you RN :)

    • @LittleBowser16
      @LittleBowser16 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you! When I saw that I had passed, I ended up screaming so loudly that my neighbor came and checked on me. Let me tell you that hysterically (but happily) crying in front of a near stranger is seriously awkward for everyone involved. Poor guy looked like a deer in the headlights!
      Honestly though, your videos have been amazing in helping me prepare for NCLEX. Studying on your own is great and all, but having someone to really break down different topics is incredibly helpful.
      Thank you very much, and keep doing what you're doing! :D

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is so funny!!! It sounds like you have a great neighbor. He would have to go through nursing school and take the NCLEX exam in order to understand the reason for the crying lol. It is an exhausting but worth it journey! Congrats to you again....I'm so happy the videos helped! I wish you the best in your nursing career :)

    Hi Sara! I just took my NCLEX-RN and it stopped asking me questions at 75. I was nervous, but I felt like I was doing really well. I heard if it stops at 75 you either did really good or really bad. I felt like -_-. I found out the next day that I passed and had my nursing license!! Praise God!. This was my first try, but I am trying to send a message that even if you don't pass on your first try just keep studying and praying. Walk into the exam knowing that you have done all you can do and put it in the hands of the LORD! You can do it!!

    If ur state has a limit on the amount of times u can take the Nclex. Just apply for a New York RN license and they have unlimited attempts. That way you can avoid having to do remediation and or having to do more clinical hours.

    Thank you for posting this video. I failed my nclex on november 15, 2016. I was depressed and had graduation the very next day. I walked the stage depressed. I did not even give myself a week to sulk, I started studying 4 days later and COMPLETELY changed my studying. I used your videos and now I am using hurst and will be purchasing kaplan qbank,
    DURING studying for my first attempt i was using nsbcn course and UWORLD. I felt that I was learning but in all actually was doing poor, I should of picked out the hints because I was still getting 40-50% on practice exams yet still went with the exam anyway... and now thinking back on it, I didn't even read rationales I just wanted to get this miserable time in my life over even if I wasn't prepared... i realize now that was a big mistake and now motivated more than ever. I am still low, and I am still sad but i feel my studying has changed drastically by watching videos and realize this is how I learn best.... i am a visual and auditory learner and now my practice exams are ranging from 60-70% (small quizzes) i hope to see where I go as I continue on with HURST and your videos.
    youtube and listening to all the stores of nurses of failed have given me some reassurance and couldn't not be more grateful. Given my life circumstance.
    Thank you all, God bless us all and we will succeed.

I am an Internation Nurse and believe that studying in another language is so HARD, but I am not giving up. I am going to prepare myself with the most positive attitude. Do you have any videos or material how I can prepared myself? like a planner for a week with specific topics each day? I appreciate your help.

    Thank you so so so much for everything that you do! I watched your videos thru nursing school and helped understand the material more and feel more confident about my knowledge.
    I just took my NCLEX 2hrs ago and I’m confident that I failed. It didn’t stop at 75 and all I can think in my mind is that maybe this isn’t for me, that I’m stupid and not as smart as my classmates. This video made me feel sooooo much better, I’m literally crying right now cuz whatever the outcome is maybe one day someone can talk about me the same way you are talking about your friend. Maybe I don’t pass on my first try but I can still be a great, competent and smart nurse.
    Please never stop creating content! You are a light in a very difficult path of nursing school. GOD BLESS YOU!

      yes plus the $200 to take the test...so $400 total each time to retake...when i failed my first time i didnt know it was gonna cost $400 to retake it so when i found out and took my second exam i told myself im not gonna spend no $400 dollars a third time instead I imagined that i was taking a nurse trivia game that will reward the winner with $400 bucks and a RN license lol...it worked passed my second time around!

      Hello :) It is really hard to tell based on how many questions you got and if you are able to register again if you failed or not. Hang tight and wait for your results. I hope you passed :)

    How much is this test? I heard a rumor that is expensive._.

      +Cari Baez The NCLEX exam typically costs $200.00 and then you will probably be required to pay your state board of nursing $100.00 for your nursing license. So it will cost a total of $300.00.

    Hi Sara, I'm an international nurse and it's been 5 year since I graduated. I took nclex exam yesterday I'm so stressed , I think I'm failed. I used Saunders and Kaplan materials. What would you advice me please I need help.

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello :) I would wait until you get your results before you start studying again. I know it is very nerve-racking but almost everyone feels like they failed because it is a rough exam. Once you get your results, I would definitely look at how you studied and develop a very strategic study plan by studying everyday (even for only 30 minutes the days you are busy) and tackle the areas you don't perform well on. In addition, be sure to incorporate practicing 1000s on NCLEX style questions in your routine (always read the rationales and review the questions when you are done practicing them). Then go back in your review books and review the material. Saunders and Kaplan are both excellent guides but if you want something else a lot of my viewers use UWorld as well. When studying you must understand the material rather than memorizing....like how the disease process works, which is why you are see these signs and symptoms/performing these nursing interventions, and administering these medications. Hang in there....you may be surprised with your results, but if you did fail...don't give up and retest!!
