Many postgrad nursing students who study hard for their exit exams have failed the NCLEX. But it doesn’t mean that you (or any of those postgrads) have to give up on dreams of becoming a nurse!
There’s nothing wrong with failing the NCLEX (especially the first time), but you should know that there is always something you can learn from it. Mike shares his personal experience, along with tips for you to move forward in your nursing career.

Summary: momentum will travel in both positive and negative ways. Where your focus goes your energy flows
Go out and drink till 4... Guzzle all the coffee possible. Walk into Sylvan and test, 70 questions, and 20 mins later, drive back to the hotel and sleep it off. That's was my winning combo.

Just coming by to thank you guys (and you Nurse Mike in particular!) for making these videos! I only had my nursing school textbooks, one hand-me-down NCLEX quiz book with hundreds of sample questions, and THE VIDEOS FROM THIS CHANNEL, and I passed the NCLEX RN first try! I really didn't have the confidence that I was going to succeed but I studied my butt off, and on the day of the test various sayings and mnemonics that you taught me sprang instantly to mind whenever I struggled with a question! I would not have survived those SATA questions without you! THANK YOU for uploading these videos for free for those of us without the money for expensive NCLEX prep courses! You helped me SO much! Thanks as always!! Your vids cleared up so much for me in Nursing school I passed everything first try all a’s and b’s. Now it’s Nclex prep time.. I’m def stuck in a negative talk loop, but starting my 3*3 as well as bible study to distract and replace that habit. Def been loving the feeling of fasting and drinking water until after school or work( around 2-3pm) as well as probiotics. Love these recommendations, def going to try them!! I basically feel like your in my head 🙏🏾!!

I took my NCLEX yesterday and got the bad news today. I'm still bitter and i haven't digested what has happened. Indeed, I am an overthinker and most of the time very anxious and it didn't help me during my exam. Then I open TH-cam and came across this video. THANK YOU Nurse Mike. This has been the most comforting and helpful talk I've had the entire day. I will put to practice what you said and hopefully overcome my negative self-talk and my anxiety and become more focused the next time I take my exam. And I hope when I come back on this video, I will come bearing GOOD NEWS.

@@monicagarcia7026 Don’t give up on studying. What helped me most are planning my day as I study so I can be organized with what I have to work on and then have some quizes after. Keep watching Simple Nursing Videos because for me, it really helped a lot during my NCLEX review.
I too failed my first attemp. It wasn’t easy and I was very bitter but just remember, breathe, take some time to recollect yourself. Don’t be hasty. And when you feel youre ready, start studying again. And always have faith in yourself. You got this :)

Thanks lol yeah I found out I passed yesterday. Honestly, you will know more on the nclex than you think. What ever study tool you use be sure to always read the rational and understand why something is happening. Also, don’t psych yourself out again, you know more than you think the test will only get harder as you get easier questions correct. Good luck and remember, this is your opportunity you’ve worked for this and put the time in. God bless.

how about on the day of the exam, should we eat breakfast or still do the intermittent fasting and take mct oil?
I’ll take a chunk from the book of Dr. Covey. According to his famous work, there are 2 “circles” within each and everyone of us. There is the “circle of influence,” those things we can conrol or change. And there is the “circle of concern,” those things that we cannot control. Basically, what he said was most of us focus on what we cannot control, hence the whining and the complaining and relying on what he referred to as “quick fix” methods that really don’t solve the underlying problems.
Bottomline of thie vid is that we should focus on our “circle of influence;” the things in our life that we can modify/control. And I think right mindset is one of them.

Hi guys is anybody can tell me how to get my ATT bcoz I’m calling them every day they put on hold for 2:30 hours and then disconnects.😞
This is what happened to me too. You have to contact your board of nursing and ask them what is missing or why it is taking so long. Also, make sure that when you applied to Pearson, you applied to the right board of nursing .

@@virpaldhaliwal1106 I don’t know too much of other states but typically you have to fill out paper work to the board of nursing that you are applying for in addition to Pearson if that is what you mean. Then, the hiccups usually come from the board of nursing I.e. they haven’t processed your background check or haven’t received everything from you yet. Once they have cleared you, they will then let Pearson know and then Pearson will issue your ATT
