A message from Kristine, founder of NurseInTheMaking📣
My name is Kristine and I survived nursing school…and you can too!
Nurse In The Making was inspired during my time in nursing school. I immediately struggled and decided to create my own study guides. These guides have helped me personally as well as many others make nursing school just a little more manageable. I hope you find comfort knowing that everyone struggles at times. Nursing school is emotionally and physically draining. I hope these informative, clean, and simple guides help you navigate through all the information because there is A LOT of it in nursing school.
Happy Studying Future Nurses. Don't forget to enjoy the journey!
31 yr LPN here, returning to nursing school with the end goal of DNP (Lord Willing). My brain doesn't seem to learn as much or as easily as it used to when I first went to LPN school. Your teaching and memory tricks are a LIFE SAVER! You have such a gift for putting the puzzle together to make it very easy to understand and to see how the components work in synchrony. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR GIFT WITH ALL OF US!!
I am so happy to hear that my tips and tricks are helping you study! 💛 I truly love being able to share all that I've learned with others. I wish you all the best in your nursing school journey. You got this! 🙌

Potassium 5.3
Awesome information
Wow that was super helpful thank you so much 🙏🏻
I am happy to help! 💛
Thank you this really help ❤
I am so glad it was helpful 👏
potassium 5.3 too high and you are to administer a potassium-sparing diuretics therefore it should be reported before administering the medication
The nurse should check the potassium level because it is high which can cause hyperkalemia
Amazing ❤ Thank youuu
You got this! 💛
Experiencing edema as I type, I went to the hospital and they told me my blood work was negative my pressure was okay . But I know my diet is a little off, and I've been going to the gym forever. I'm a bus driver and I sit for hours on end. So can there be anything else I can do?
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, I wouldn't be in the position to give medical advice on something like this; I would definitely refer you to your doctor. I'm sorry. I wish I could be more helpful. I hope you get the help you need! 💛
Buying your flashcards today, I love the bundle so much!!!! Love your Instagram videos tooo!!! 😂
Yay! I am so glad you love it!
Low potassium presence in blood! Thanks chubbyemu
Hospitals in Denmark does not follow up on side effects and weight when using diuretics. I almost died from kidney failure from 3 months use on Furosemide. Have permanent damage now and suffer from kidney dissease because of that.
Medicine should only be used when there is no other option, and patients should be informed much more about the effects and side effects of medicine in general. And most medicine should only be used shortly if possible.
Heyyy. Can you do respiratory pharmacology pleaseeeee😊
Where is the carbonic anhydrase
I wish I came across this video earlier smh it’s not too late my nclex is coming up soon!!
I am so glad you found it now! 🙌 Best of luck on the NCLEX. You got this! 👏

Ugh, but why does Potassium 5.3 need to be reported if Spironolactone prevents reabsorption of the low Sodium and has no effect on Potassium? Sure, it should be reported, but how does low sodium still indicate giving a sodium wasting medication? Sodium is also extremely precise before causing neurologic symptoms. This stuff never makes any sense. Answers just feel randomized.
Hi there! Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic, which means the body holds on to or keeps potassium. A potassium level of 5.3 is considered elevated, and if the body is holding on to more potassium due to the use of spironolactone instead of wasting (or getting rid of it), the potassium level could continue to increase.
Best video found for diuretics 🤍🤍thank you so much
Awe, thank you so much! I'm so glad you love it. 🙌
