I'm 61 yrs old and owned everything over the years since 1970's, 1975 Honda 125 Elsinore, 1982 Kawasaki 750 LTD and a 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane. You get the picture! Now that I'm retired and haven't ridden in 10 years I'm thinking of a Honda XR150L for exploring and maybe small moto-camping trips.
Hi All , I purchased mine right away first sight. White as some have mentioned the black ones in the bush showed scratches . As of yesterday 1900 miles . Top speed 66 mph. With the wind tucked down and trying to draft a bus . Upgrades so far are a DZG led headlight best $30 you can spend , Amozon be seen and can now see at night . Tuck foldable shifter red , Pair of red foot pegs . A double usb/volt meter . The factory Honda tank bag . And a Kemimoto tail bag . The bike did spend 6 weeks in the shop it was surging and bucking wildly, they mistakenly diagnosed a carb issue for a loose pos wire on the coil . Once plug in no issues at all as expected . Would love someone to find a windshield. Factory handgards look useless as well as skid plate please help as mentioned bar risers please help . Thanks to Mishmashmoto has made a great vid on the carb and a 115 main jet upgrade at below 1000 feet fixes lean throttle response. Thankyou for your vid can't wait for new content on this XR150L . Sprockets would be nice as always looking for more top end . Peace from Canada to our US neighbors.
I've put over 5,000 miles on my 2023 xr150 L in 5 months island hopping all over the philippines it's definitely a solid bike I haven't done anything to it but change the oil : Edit i also live in Oregon
I've been "road tripping" around the Philippines Islands with my 2023 XR150 for 16 months now....what a Fun bike..!!! (Philippines price?..$1,435.00usd total, 3yrs Plate and Insurance included)👍🏼
im 57 been riding 50+ of those year and got my street license when I was 17 and the bigist bike i have ever owned is a ninja/EX500 back in the 80s and today i own two bikes a XR150L and i use for work and back Monday threw Friday and a 2022 Versys X300 for going to the river and bike camping and fishing and I just enjoy them both so much ...had allot of friends with liter bikes big 1400cc road bikes and even hogs and I have ridden them all and just not me or fun for me and I'm not a little guy I weight 230lb but just never had any need or want of a bigger bike
The best motorcycle to start as a beginner rider. It can get up to 55 mph to 60 mph (Depending on your weight). witch it not that bad. I got mine and i do really love it.
Not sure everyone would want to do what I’ve done, but my ADV150 has been all over the National Forrest’s of New Mexico. Probably places you wouldn’t want to take the bigger dual sport. With 13k miles on it, I would agree… a small adventure bike is the absolute best. If I could get just a little more power out of I though, it would be the last bike I ever own. (I do have the big-lobe cam in it already)
I love the adv, i had one too! but it just wouldnt do anything near what this bike did. However, the adv is FAR more capable than most people think theyre awesome bikes and i miss mine
@Scooterswapshop if you or anyone in the shop is looking to pick up an adv150. I need to sell mine, and I'm just south of PDX. Has 7k miles and thinking of selling for $3k. Gotta sell stuff and get ready to for a move.
I am 64 years old and have a few bikes, as well as a 2014 Honda XL 200, and I must agree with you that they are great fun on tight trails! On the open road you have to go flat out (not fun) to try to keep up with the passing traffic, but on the trails they really come into their own! They are super light, and easy to handle! Should they be dropped, they are easy to pick up! My BMW GS Adventure is great on the tarmac & gravel roads, my Dakar 650 is a good all-rounder, and my little 200 is perfect for me on the trails!! Thanks for a great video and warm greetings from South Africa!
We got one in Inuvik, at the North end of the Dempster highway. Does well in loose gravel and gas-range is wow! Can do Dawson city to Eagle Plains on a tank, if you're not bombing.
that is a raven. not a crow. i lived in a house by the huckleberry for 15 years. i moved away 3 years ago. but the hucks donuts are the best. i am getting one of these motorcycles. i did 1000 videos on mt hood. bmx. mt bikes. camping. fishing. hiking. mushroom hunting. snowboarding. that kind of stuff. survival. guns. archery. i am wanting to get this bike and all of a sudden i see you at the huckleberry. what a trip. i lived up the road. one block. at 6 minute 21 seconds in the video. that big building you see behind you is the govy general store. i worked there 3 years. the first 12 years i was a manager for the brew pub and a chef which is part of timberline lodge. i cant wait to get this bike this summer
Just got 2600miles for my 2 months old xr 150L 2024 Last ride was 620miles loop trip. No prblem at all since its brandnew, still looking for my right setup in long rides
Oregon is amazing. Huck shakes at the Huckleberry Inn are the bomb btw. Man, I think you just sold me on this bike. Was considering a new TW200 as a farm bike, backwoods cruiser, light acute bike for where we live in the UP of Michigan but for the price this just seems like so much value. Surrounded by dirt forest service roads, trails, and two lane roads I think it might be the perfect all rounder for putting around and check new places out and just enjoying scenery. The fact it performs that well with a full load is great, I had been wondering what it would do when fully burdened. Good stuff, great video, really miss Oregon. Used to spend a lot of time at my hood and Bachelor. 👍
I'd be interested to see how it dyno's, and see what you guys can do to it for cheap to get it back into line. Cycle World dyno'd one and they got just under 11hp peak
Hey I love the video, im from Oregon too and Portland is Sh** hole, and moved away from there and I live on the Oregon coast now, I just found out about this bike and seriously thinking of getting one. Is there anywhere in oregon I can actually purchase that bike for MSRP price? Beaverton Honda motorcycle wants $1k over msrp price.
I am 6"4' I would love one of these. My KTM 690 Enduro R I have setup perfectly. The Honda 150 XL I feel would be cramped. I think lowered foot pegs would be easy to make or even build a custom bracket. Have you seen or heard of a taller seat ??
There any way to make first as lot slower while getting the highway speed top end? Can't understand why they don't do first gear as if it was an old big red 3 Wheeler. Bike would go anywhere without clutch slipping it with a proper first
Can I get in on this random flexing, too? My Xmax 300 gets up to 89-90 mph, gets similar mpg, seat and riding position way more comfortable than a Nighthawk 250, enough storage to hold two full face helmets, ABS and traction control, and it'll smoke your Nighthawk on any paved road. You might be thinking, how could I even make that comparison? These are two completely different bikes that are meant to serve different purposes. Well, that's I how I felt when I read your comment.
At least with mine, first is super tall. It's the same transmission and motor out of the CRF150F, and Honda did zero changes to the gear ratios aside from a sprocket change. TortureTestMagazine has a great article that goes into more detail on the gearing.
hey guys my scooter has been running realy rich suddenly and i do not know the problem i did nothing to t and it was just running heavy for some reason so could you guys pls help me out

I've had my Xr150l for about a month and couldn't be happier with it.
Same!
Had mine for over 3 months now and love it too. No nonsense bike, pure fun.
❤ our 2 XR150’s. 6,500 miles on each and more planned for this year.
What’s your top speed ?

I bought an XR150L today. Really digging it so far.

Loving mine! This little Honda rules!

I really enjoyed this content and I learned something. Thank you.
More 150 content please.
Big bike does not necessarily mean more fun. Thanks for the review. I want one now.
we finally get these north of border 🙂

Why is there no kickstarter? In the Ukrainian version, this bike has a kickstarter. Maybe you have a six-speed gearbox?
Where did you get your phone mount and all the luggage carriers?
Hello may I know or can you share the jettings of your carb in your xr150L
Let see you straighten this thing out!
What kind are your gloves?

250 nighthawk tops 80 mph and gets 75 mpg with 4 gal tank. tires and springs and It'll smoke xl off road as well
Let me know how that nighthawk does off-road…

What's your issue with the gearing on the first gear exactly?

Aftermarket parts coming doon to the site!?
Potentially yea
My local Honda is also a KTM dealer, and had it side by side which killed it for me on comparison of quality visually.
$4k OTD price is great, go for it!
Yeah Brandon, they don’t do that in punch out. 😂🙄
Keep oil in it and it’s dang near indestructible.
You should try a Yamaha TW200 ;)
It's not as comfortable as the XR150

Honda XR190 es mejor, trae inyección electrónica, tiene más potencia y torque
