    2023 owner here too and the 2025 model doesn’t have enough improvements for a trade-in. For me to upgrade, there must be something significant like the J3400 connector, a decent size frunk, walk-away lock eliminating start-stop bottom, and/or 11kW AC charging. I wish there were some lights behind the front grill stars.

      Same boat. Really thinking 2026 improvements (whatever they are) will be enticing. Maybe.

      @@BenAptus Are you aware MB in 2024 is phasing in their hood ornament and a fake chrome grill at nose.

      @@johnpoldo8817 I am! Though I really don't like the hood ornament. I like the more subtle look. I also like the large mercedes star at the front (without additional stars - just the big one). The fake chrome grill at nose looks no better than any of the other noses. The only thing that would make the nose better would be to raise the hood front a little and make the front more square, but that sacrifices the aerodynamics. All that being said, I am not enticed by the fake chrome grill at the nose. It'll take more than that for this car to be more appealing from the outside. Obviously I didn't mind it - I bought the 2023 (EQS SUV).

    I want one ! Waiting to see if used prices go down any further. My model S is a 2014 with 130k mikes on it. Mercedes only offered 11 k. Ugh!!! It still runs perfectly so torn on switching. At 54 I’m now the old guy who wants comfort ;). When a young person asked me what’s important once you hit your 50s I simply say avoidance of pain and trying to maximize comfort!

      @@xeniavader I get where you are coming from in prioritizing comfort. Used EV values are low right now - mostly due to low confidence in public charging infrastructure. I hope the EQS hits your desired price point soon.

    Love your videos and enthusiasm. Purchased the 2024 EQS 450 4matic amg line this week and it's so stunning. 😊 I also love the current grill better than whats coming in 2025. They probably listened to much to people in TH-cam comments. 😅

    In Australia I have the digital key handover feature in Mercedes Me for a 2022 EQS53 AMG, strange how features vary world wide

    Will be interesting to see if (or how much) the changes in 2025 effect that depreciation as well.

      Agree. Here in the UK AutoTrader have used Audi E-trons unsold after 425 days.

    Anyone know if the grill and hoodstar from the 25’s are interchangeable on 23/24’s? Love the elegant look of the hoodstar and want to add it on my 2023

      You would have to replace the whole hood. The setting for the current star is different then for the standing star - I asked.

    How does it end ?
    Batteries degrade over time , can you replace the battery and how much does it cost ?

    • @EQS-Owner
      @EQS-Owner  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@janstolk486 in my 20 months video, I answer this question - at least about degradation. Replacing the battery will only be an issue if something goes wrong. Otherwise, probably won't need to replace it for several decades - th-cam.com/video/gaKZzeWxqyQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=e11QLfV5KWvnd-Q1

      The battery will last. But the mild-steel battery tray will not. Built-in obsolescence.

    I have been waiting delivery of my EQE 2024 since March. It has already been built and awaiting shipping. How is it taking so long for Mercedes Germany to ship the vehicle to North America?

      Mine was built in July 2022 and I didn't get it until November 15th. Not sure why it takes so long, but the time fades once you have your new car.

    Wait until 2025: you'll be able to pick up a low-miles 2023 model for under £25k.

    You’ve saved at the pumps and servicing but when you factor in the depreciation and insurance compared to an ICE car I expect you have taken a fairly big hit to your wallet.

    • @EQS-Owner
      @EQS-Owner  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My insurance is about the same as it was when I had an ICE S-550. Depreciation is more dramatic with the EQS right now, but I could have leased the car if that was my focus. No, I am keeping this car for a long time and it will have paid for the difference by then. Even if it doesn't, I bought the EQS-580 for my enjoyment and I am content with the ownership experience.

    Man they really made that grill ugly in the 2025 model. I would’ve liked to see them finally kill off keys completely and go the keyless route Tesla has gone, including removing the pointless start/stop button. They also need to move the shit under the hood somewhere else so we have a frunk and for safety in a wreck. Only other thing Mercedes needs to address is their horribly cluttered steering wheel with touch sensitive buttons.
