How do I raise the brightness on the drivers display on a 2024 EQS 450+ ? I can’t seem to figure it out . THANKS

I have tbe 450 plus. I see a white lane change indication, but it's from the headlights. I'll have to see if there's a heads up display option to get the green one. I have it on the alternate dash view at least

I've had my EQS 580 SUV for 1.5 years now. My wife and I love it and have used it to travel from Phoenix to North Carolina to visit my daughters, down to South Carolina and on to Florida with a long stop in Houston to visit our families (Texas). This past July we took it to Oregon for a week vacation. Todate the 580 has about 17K miles. Issues: first month when we took it out for a drive to Tucson, it would not accept charging. LOL, we were down to 10% charge as we stopped in Casa Grand for a final Electrified America station and found 1 out of 8 that worked. Took it to the Dealership the next day and they kept it for a month - issue was the software. All good till last week, I took it out for a drive and noticed no AC, took it to the dealership in Gilbert and they found the AC fan blower relay and motor are fried. You'd think that for a $150K vehicle they would source the best components. All in all, we still love the 580, smooth ride, comfortable seats (wife has hip pains but not in the 580) and all the electronics that you'd wish for. The hyper screen is a favorite, definitively worth opting for it. Tomorrow I take a hot drive to the dealership as they had to order the fan blower. After that we will be good.

Just recently totaled my EQE 😢. The active lane change assist activated while it was raining and immediately began hydroplaning as the car accelerated. I accept responsibility for having cruise set in the rain but just want you guys to be careful!

Biggest bad news is only when selling the car. 2023 EQS 580 AWD , which had msrp 130k is now selling for 70k. 50% depreciation in 1 year

For some reason I'm never able to change the passenger screen display to my own picture. So annoying. It just doesn't work. Other than that all works great.

What is the typical cost of the 20k service?

My Mercedes Me app shows the average consumption in "kWh/100 mi". It used to be the other way around. But that changed about a year ago. Not sure what did it. Maybe it was a software update??

My 20K service on the EQS 580 SUV was six weeks ago, results nearly identical to yours. Similar to your assessment, best car I've ever owned since my first new car purchase in 1977. Only a few complaints thus far, first is replacing tires at 17K. Took a nail and without that probably could have gotten up to 20K before needing to replace; since one had to be replaced decided to replace all four. I expected needing to get new tires about every 20K, but with "very soft" driving I thought I could get to 25K. Nope. Second complaint popped up at about 18K. About 60% of the time when home charging only the vehicle does not start charging on first insertion of cable. Charges 100% of the time on second insertion. MB said they fixed it at the 20K service, they were wrong. A minor annoyance. Ah, a 3rd complaint. We now have MB branded chargers (Chargepoint) near the home....but have to pay for it while EA charging remains free until April. Doesn't seem like it should be that way, but such is life. OK, fourth complaint which MB cannot fix, phantom braking. Through about 14K miles we have two significant phantom braking incidents. Those are dangerous enough for me to shut off automatic braking when I get in the car. MB should make turning off that feature a driver preference; they can't. So I need to remember to turn it off every time I get in the car. Minor...but dumb to not make a driver preference. Longer term MB needs to get to V2G bi-directional charging. Bottom line, best vehicle I've ever owned.

My cla 200 amg 2020 also has this feature and I have turned it by accident! It turns out that I went outside and checked the car and the first thing that came into my mind was that I had to see an electrician the morning after. My intention was only to turn the head lights off. Two months using my first benz, don't get me wrong 😂

My wireless CarPlay stopped working too suddenly and I took it to the service station. A quick software reboot by them got it working just fine. Maybe you can try that.

We love our EQS 580 too. It replaced an E450 ICE convertible which is a beauty too. But, I disliked minor routine service costing $300 & major ones at $1300

On recent trips from Wake Forest to Charlotte and WF to Atlanta, I was getting about 375-380 miles of range with my 580. I generally drive conservatively, keeping to no more that 5 mph over the speed limit, with no hard accelerations and using Normal to High recuperation for braking. Love the drive and the range. I just wish the charging infrastructure was better. It's improving, but ever so slowly.

Can you please do a video on headlight setting? I usually choose Auto and drive but sometimes that doesn’t work as powerful as needed. What settings do you usually choose?

strong all the way, you get used to it. I can't get the car to stay in strong recuperation mode... I have to choose it every time I start the car, is that normal?? seems like they overlooked this.

Look in the mirror, get some exercise on a regular basis, stop eating so much and you may fit in your car easier and have a longer life. The EQS is a great car and you are lucky to have such a nice car. I would love to own a car like that and get great mileage off of an EV like that. Be thankful for what you have and I wish you the best on your life journey. Another resident of North Carolina.
