    I wish I saw this before I spent three hours trying to get my 54" sweeper assembled. Turned out I had that first bar on backward. Once I had it together and stored away, I then find this video. The sweeper works as advertised.

    I have a used one of these that I received from someone…but I was trying it out yesterday and the two inner brass looking bars that you see on each side of the interior of the bag aren’t totally straight, therefore the bag is slightly elevated. I can’t seem to get the bag to flatten out to make more room for debris. Idk if I’m making sense. But I tried pushing the whole bag down and those bars just seem to be locked up…any ideas?

    Can this be used with z345m?

    • @247parts
      @247parts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! All you need is a hitch kit on your mower.

    How come the net in mine doesn't cover the whole thing like yours? It only a little of the top also do the elbow metal brackets bend towards the tractor or the other way?

    • @247parts
      @247parts  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are talking about the hinged pieces, then yes, they bend toward the tractor and I am not sure on your net. Maybe this was a flaw on your particular machine?

    I think those side tubing on the hopper have to go on specific sides. I effed that up, and now can't get the plastic push clips back out, so having to drill them out. Unless anyone has a better idea in the next 5 minutes. #thingsthatwouldhavebeengoodtoknow

    Can a dethacher be added in between mower and sweeper? Do you have a video on setting this up? Thanks!

    • @247parts
      @247parts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! I will have to look into this. No video now, but could be one in the future!

    • @anthonycoppa9089
      @anthonycoppa9089 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you decide to look into the dethatcher kit, I don’t think John Deere makes one.
      Look at a company called BRINLY. Model DK-422LX. I bought the JD sweeper and BRINLY dethatcher used.
      Now I forget how to attached both at the same time.
      Any help in a video would be very helpful.
      Thanks.

    In your opinion, which is better/preferred for year round use the lawn sweeper or the bagger? Or bang for the buck?

    • @247parts
      @247parts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For leaves use bagger, for leaves/sticks use lawn sweeper. Lawn sweeper is easier to take on and off your unit than bagger which might be a factor depending how often you might need your unit for multi purpose. Generally speaking I’d lean bagger for best bang for buck because you can use it year round to bag lawn if you want and ready to scalp in early spring if you are in a Bermuda area.

    Thanks for making the video. Got to say super disappointed in the product quality. My dad had one of these 20 years ago and it was constructed way better.

    I love your training video you're a very good teacher. As a sixty four-year-old woman I was able to put this together. However, whoever edited your video left out the very last step. You have the 2 smaller tube pieces on your work bench and you never talked about where they go and how to put those together. I'm almost finished but I can't figure out how to slide the catcher on to the sweeper.

    • @247parts
      @247parts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so sorry for this! I had not noticed that this was left out. These small tubes will mount right below the hinge. At 13:46 I show mounting the hinge and right below that there will be another hole to mount those small tubes. These need to go on the inside of the hopper and they need to be tightened enough to stay in place but they need to be able to pivot to dump the hopper. You will see on the small tubes there is an indented end that will slip down into the sweeper once the small tubes are mounted on your hopper. If this is too confusing feel free to reach out to me at brent@west-equip.com so I can get in contact with you to be more clear. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you for all the great content. I’m waiting on an s240 and I have two acres, with portions of lawn in constant shade. I often have wet grass and I’m wondering if I should use a sweeper instead of the bagger. Getting both options seems redundant, so what are the primary advantages between the two setups? Again for me, weekly it’s damp grass, and in the fall I’ll have tons of leaves. Appreciate your insight.
