Outstanding review. Thorough & very comprehensive. 👍 I’ve used my Worx mulcher for many seasons now. One tip/hack I can share = we place the entire leaf mulching unit on top of our Brute garbage can. Fits snug. No issues. An option if you’re out of paper lawn bags.

Thanks for the video! I have a sunjoe wood chipper. Will be looking into getting the Worx mulcher! I have about 2 million worms that i raise for worm castings, and the leaf compost is excellent free bedding/food for them. Every year I ask local landscapers to dump their leaves and clippings for me to compost :)
Probably the best comparison video of any type product I've seen. Thank You. I'm not sure why I watched it, I felt my lawn mower was the way to go and I like the grass clippings mixed in. But for the bagged leaves I get from neighbors, one of these is a much cleaner way to go. Will look into the Worx for next season.

Great review! Here's what I have always done: Remove bags from my riding mower, leave chute and holder in place Mow over the leaves repeatedly, casting them toward center of lawn area Replace mower bags, suck up fragments, scatter under trees!
This is what i do, but since im on a corner lot i blow everything into long piles in the street. Bonus is that all the super tiny fragments my mower doesnt suck up at the end the street sweeper gets eventually, or wash away with the rain.
@@arsenic0 ...can't do that in the city The leaves will clog up the waste water lines and grates. We'd have a swimming pool for a street and everyone's basement will be flooded as well. We have to pick up our leaves.
First Aussie 😁. I mulch mow all my leaves with my Honda mower and have for years and does a good job, sometimes I might have to do another pass over some sections . Great video Ginja. 😎👍👍
I love it! Thank You! My wife wants me to curb-side the leaves, but I know this is not sustainable...We are surely depleting our soil of vital organic nutrients!
Great review! I've considered this option but I'm going to stuck with mulching the leaves back in with my mower. Blow the leaves out of the beds onto the lawn (try not to pile them up). Raise the deck up a notch (maybe 2 in the front if you have a lot of leaves), keep that blade sharp and Mulch away.
The diameter and stiffness of the trimming line should probably be matched to the rpm of the motors and the rate of feed to optimize the best fit for each machine. Given a little time to experiment with different line gauges, you would be able to optimize each mulcher to their best. Also, don't forget the feed rate ... because the Worx was allowing you to feed faster, the material wasn't in the chamber near as long depriving it of the opportunity for 2nd, 3rd and 4th cut time ... that obviously affects the final mulch density. Really great video that was a lot of fun to watch ... that was a pretty good support team you had as well. Thanks for sharing your experience, it was both informative and interesting. Cheers ...
Lawn Ginja i am so very sorry to hear about my big headed friend Ned. I know he was such a good boy! Thank you for taking time again to help with an issue I have been concerned with. Your videos are so easy to understand and evaluate. You have helped me so much with my lawn care. Looks like you had top shelf help with this one!!!
Yo my man you and your young crew( I’m guessing your sons) are relaxed and have a comedic quality at reviewing these products. I actually bought the Worx because of your effective dare I say “scientific” analysis using a control sample as a brilliant way to encourage gardening and landscaping. Hope you are getting paid from these manufacturers because you deserve it.
I've raked leaves onto my driveway and used my mower to mulch them for 40 years/ This is a small city lot and I get about 20ea 30gal barrels of leaf fall most years. I just run ober the leaves with my mulching mower and distribute the leaves to my garden beds. My soil quality gets improved and i don't have to put leaves out for collection - for my small yard the mower method works.
Very thorough throughout , I’m in the market for a leaf shredder and you have convinced me on my decision and yes I had already had it narrowed down to one of these two machines. Thank you.
I just blew all of my leaves into a 15’x15’x4’ pile. Took my mower without the bag and mulched it down to almost a powder. Put the bag back on the lawn mower and used it like a vacuum and added it to my compost pile. I now have about 50-100lbs of compost that’s about 3’x3’x3’. I soak it and turn it over the winter a few times. My vegetable garden THRIVES with this as a soil mix/top coat. Nothing but time and gas spent! Try it!
Great Video! Appreciate the comparison. DISCLAIMER - I own the Sun Joe. I find if I use the brown paper lawn and garden bags they fit right under the Sun Joe no problem. That works for me since they are cheap and I store a batch to keep on hand for my compost tumbler. My Sun Joe grinds leaves to about 1/4" pieces. Perfect for what I need. You are right on with the hopper. It is slow to feed. You need to not put so much in it at a time. Now for some SAFETY TIPS... NEVER use your hand to feed the contents into the shredder. I use a stick and stir the leaves around the hopper and they feed through quickly and easily. I use a mask. These things kick up a ton of dust and if you have allergies... a mask is a must. I also use ear protection. They are LOUD! To do as much as you had - you'll be at this for a while and ear protection will give you some relief. Thanks for this. The video will definitely be a help to folks looking for a good shredder.
To keep grass out of the leaves, cut the grass slightly shorter on the last mow, and raise the cutting deck for mulching leaves. That will keep grass out of the mix.
My Honda mower does a great job chopping up leaves in bagger mode plus the grass clippings are mixed in so it has a good mix of green and brown for faster decomposing. I dump it into my flower beds 2 to 4 inches thick and in the spring just till it in, whatever is left I put in the compose bin and the following fall I have a nice supply of compose Not putting those shedders down they did a good job but for my money I prefer just using the mower. good review though I enjoy your channel.
That is a great video! Many thanks for posting. I've been shredding and bagging a lot of leaves for six years and I've tried many different methods for shredding. I've learned that those vacuum bagger/shredders are useless. I've tried the Sun Joe electric chipper/shredder and that didn't work for me either - chipping wood jammed the chute too often and it didn't load leaves easily nor would it shred them finely enough. For a couple of years I tried using my gas-powered string trimmer to shred leaves in a heavy plastic bucket. That works extremely well but takes too much time. What I did like is how incredibly fine you can get the leaves. Early on, I tried my mulching lawn mower with rear bagger and found that while it collected leaves easily it didn't shred them well - similar to your results. However, I recently tried spreading the leaves on my lawn (dumping them out after collecting them in my lawn-tractor bagger. Then I ran over the leaves with my lawn mower but this time I closed the collection chute to allow for more effective mulching. Once they were mulched (and quite finely, I would say), I collected the ground leaves with my bagger attached. This is working well, but it seems like it's more work than it should be. I'm intrigued by the results on the Worx leaf shredder that you used. It looks like your results are (almost) acceptable to me, except I would prefer even more finely-mulched leaves. I'm wondering if you (or anyone else) has tried this product by running the leaves through the shredder a second time? Cheers and thanks again.
I have run it through a second time. Not as impressive as you'd hope for. It's timely too. You have to go slowly or the debris just passes through. The best thing to do is to upgrade the trim line to a square plastic coated wire line. If you can find one in a size that's .080 it would work really well.
Thanks for the video, I always just ran the mower and bagger and then I would dump the bagger into the mulcher. This double shred would produce very small pieces that would decompose over the winter.
I had a Snapper mulching lawn mower with the Nija blades. I raked my leaves in a pile and kept running them over until they became a powder. This didn't take long as leaves were dry. Leaves like maple, are easy to mulch and return back to the soil. Oak leaves do not break down as quickly and take more to break down. They are also hard on the lawn. I am not big onto those machines you showed. The Lawn mower method can take on small branches and even pine needles and pine cones. You can forget using those machines on pine needles and pine cones. Forget sticks. I ran my Snapper mower for 30 years before it finally gave out. I only had to change the Nija blades once. I still miss my old Snapper mower.
@@pestandlawnginja Sadly, every one I see now is trashed. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I could find one like the one I had. These new mowers are complete trash. I know, I made it into a hobby fixing and reselling them. I have 7 different lawn mowers ready to fix and sell come spring.
Another excellent video. I’m out of my Semi truck 🚛 home on DYI projects. Obsessed with getting my lawn repaired and green. Deep in the rabbit 🐇 hole 🕳 of your videos. Thank you.
Wow, great video! Really appreciate the time and effort that you put into it. And you went above and beyond by switching out the strings. This helps me a lot. Thanks!
Your vids are so helpful and informative. They’re also some of the best parts of my TH-cam “rabbit holes” keeping me sane during these strange and challenging times.
WOW. Thanks for the great review. I've been sitting on the fence about buying one of these for years. My concern is wet leaves would probably just overpower the string. This is the first review that actually shows the inside of the mulcher. Looks like steel wire or even a blade could be fitted for better results with wet leaves that are clumping together. The Sun Joe looks like it has a metal hub, much better than the plastic hub in the Worx if you are using metal wire. I like the stand and the hopper on the worx better though.
wet leaves tend to stick on the outter edges of the hopper. I don't recommend using it that way. I still need to give the steel wire a shot. I know the plastic stays in place nicely.
Awesome demo! You really put a lot into it w/out being biased. I agree w your assessment in favor of the Worx. However, I'm retired and have more time than money - will have to go w the Sun Joe for the savings ($50) - plus another demo showed, w/a little MRO, the Sun Joe lasted relatively well w a good ROI. Thx, again!!
Sure, I watch this video after I bought a brand new house with small new trees. My old house had mature trees that took weeks to clean up the leaves. Ten years from now the Worxs will be great! 😎
Wow! That was a great video! Very informative and to the point. Great comparisons on both units. I myself own the Worx Tri-Vac. I love it! I do my whole yard with it and it mulches down pretty good where I only use one brown leaf bag vs. 3 or 4 just picking the leave up by hand after raking. Time consuming and tedious but what do I care, I'm retired and have nothing else to do. If I don't get it done by the first snow fall, I have no problem doing it in the spring. Then I know I won't have any leaves coming down from the trees at that time. But really a great video!
Great video, I never even knew this product existed. I have always just put my mower on the highest ride hight and attached the bagger onto it to collect/mulch all the leaves.
I had a gasoline type leaf eater and I modified the cut hopper ratio to be smaller. It really worker well on leaves and pine needles . And since it was non-electric, I could cut wet leaves 🍁/ needles. Also I didn’t need a long extension cord. I could go anywhere and mulch. I’d get another, but can’t find any. 11-24-2019
I bought the Worx not too long after I saw this video and posted my earlier comment. I bought it to chop up material for my hot compost pile. It is perfect for dry leaves, what it's made for. I usually pick up my leaves with the lawn mower, then dump the bag into the mulcher, but it does a good job with whole, dry leaves too. The trimmer strings last a long time, unless sticks and other junk are fed into it. Now I also send grass clippings thru. It's not made for this, but it mostly does what I need it to do. Dry clippings mixed with dry leaves is great. It starts to struggle with heavier grass. The wetter the grass, or even leaves start to stick to the sides and clog up the mulcher. It can be annoying and slow, but eventually gets the job done. This is not a complaint, how can you fault it for struggling to do something it's not made to do? I also need to replace the strings more frequently. Overall, I think it's great for chopping materials for my compost. Use a good, heavy duty, large bag under it, even if you don't intend to fill it. You waste more time struggling with smaller, thinner bags and paper bags.
Ginja - I recently found your channel and it's helped me start our my lawn care journey, so thank you. I actually own that Worx mulcher and had good results when I used it last Spring to clean up a mess left by the old homeowner. But I've also read that mulching leaves with a mower right back into your lawn provides some cheap fertilizer as well. But does the same apply when the consistency is around 50% hardwood leaves and 50% pine needles? I feel like putting those back into the grass may make the soil too acidic. What are your thoughts?
Pine needles are very acidic. It will all depend on your native ph. If your ph is high you have nothing to worry about. If it's low you'll want to bag or apply a heavy lime treatment after.
You know..... I looked into this pretty heavily and I see your point. My issue is I've seen and taken soil samples by pine trees and arborvitae bushes and the ph was dramatically different up to 3 ft out from the trunks. but that doesn't mean causation was the needles or leaves so I agree with you.
I use my tractor mower with mulching blades - the trick is not to wait until there's 12 inches of leaves but to pass the tractor every time there's 3 inches of leaves. I never fertilize my lawn because the leaves and grass cuttings are the fertilizer. You save A LOT OF WORK DOING IT THIS WAY. I usually only have to pass 3 times in the fall and there's no bags , no hours of raking and no disposing of the leaves to worry about.
I will do that when I buy my next property. My current home has a road behind, neighbors on both sides, and a ton of White Oak and Maple leaves that have to be hauled off each season.
Yeah ,why ? Why didn't you ? And why didn't you wear a mask ? Why? And why weren't you drinking beer? Why? Nice video bro! I bet the sun mulcher has a higher amperage motor ,maybe... Go easy
This is a fantastic video! Thanks so much for this! I am finally adding a leaf shredder to my composting routine this fall. Leaves and weeds are my primary source of garden compost. I usually compost leaves whole, but because I am looking to ramp up my compost production I wanted the shredder to save the space and speed up the compost production. I agree, the iWorx looks like the better machine and you probably sold me on the bags, too. Thanks so much.
The dad jokes run in the family don’t they? 😂. I honestly didn’t know leaf mulchers were even a thing. I just run em over with the lawnmower a few times. Glad to see some content, I haven’t mowed in 3 weeks 😩😭
It's probably been more than a month here in the Tulsa Oklahoma area. My Bermuda Grass has been done forever. I don't have any trees but I need to mulch what's in my backyard from the neighbors trees. I love my Gravely Zero Turn.
I'm also commenting because running over leaves with my Honda 215 set lowest and WEARING saftey glasses on a driveway or garden multiple times works best for me. Scotts had a commercial about mulching leaves into the lawn years ago but it can be disastrous come springtime with small barren patches in various places, I tried it! I think some turf mixed into the leaves makes a good soil conditioner but not for a vegetable garden if you use lawn chemicals.
I love my Sunjoe! I am definitely going to get one-ofthose pop up bags to catch the leaves. I love the leaf grabbers because you can push the leaves down and get more leaves in the plastic bags. I clean up my neighbor’s two huge maple trees.
Recommend hearing protection and dust protection as well watching your family helping. If you are not going to use a mulching lawn mower, why don’t you just shove the leaves into a trash can and put you string trimmer in - like an immersion blender?
Purchased the Worx leaf mulcher. Have giant amount of leaves to be processed. Wet leaves clog the unit quickly, otherwise it works good. Have to replace string every couple of bags. Could use a thicker string, but design may not allow. Would recommend to others.
Klepto Naisa works better with grass clippings as leaves naturally have the perfect amount of carbon to nitrogen. Grass clippings do better composting with some wood ash though for carbon.
For the Worx, Grass Gator 0.80" line fits and cuts excellent and is very durable. It has a spiral profile which makes a fine cut. We haven't tried this line on wet leaves yet.
Man that breaks my heart to hear about Ned........sorry for your loss Ginja. My brother and I had several bully's (Polly Bear aka "Daisy", Gen. Davidson Beauregard aka "Bo", and Sir Oliver Muggs aka "Muggzy") over the years and I loved them like family. Unfortunately they don't last forever and saying goodbye is never easy. Thanks for sharing Ned with us because it allowed me to take a brief trip down memory lane when I saw him in your videos.
Sounds kinky and might want to apply for a permit with the millennia liberals before attempting. You may be accused of sexual exploitation at a later date! Like if you run for city council...
Thanks for making this video! I just bought the Worx a few days ago and am so glad to have this video to help me set it up and use. Gonna use the shredded leaves to make leaf compost.
I tried one of those top-feed mulchers once. I ended up throwing it away. Obviously, they have evolved since I tried it. I wonder if the mulchers would work better if you replaced the string with steel cable? If you try it don't let it hit your fingers! Also, the biggest question for me is how would either of these devices work on recently fallen Oak leaves? Great video, totally worth watching!
Great job and vid...just finished 16 large bags of ready to go leaf mulch for my wife and they are all heavy and very fine with my Worx! BTW...I did get my finger hit pushing leaves in and it hurt like hell...didn't cut but...
This is a fantastic video because I have so many trees and I was thinking of buying a leaf mulcher myself. So I had a bright idea after watching this. Once you mulch and bag with the lawn mower, you should toss the stuff into that massive green bin and use your Ryobi weed wacker in the bin to shred them further? (That's if you are trying to get them as small as possible.)
I don’t have as many leaves as I do pencil sized twigs. I’ve use the Worx blower/vacuum and It has done the best so far job at cleaning my driveway but I have to feed iT slowly. When I lift the vacuum tube many of them fall out. I’ve tried propping it up on the top of a garbage can and feeding it slowly but it still gets clogged up. I think I need a wood chipper for the job. I’ll be looking out for a review on those small homeowner chippers, hope you compare those. So sorry to hear of Ned’s passing. It’s tough to lose any member of the family! Thank you for all you do and provide for us.
I rake or blow them them onto the cement. Put the lawnmower on it’s lowest setting with the bag on and vacuum them up from the cement. The mulching lawnmower does a decent job of compacting the debris. Sometimes I just cut the grass with the bag on in places where the leaves are big. It sucks them right up. Sometimes I have to empty the bag often when there’s a lot of leaves but if I stay on top of it and don’t let them pile up, it’s not that bad.
I mulched my backyard leaves with my Kobalt 80V cordless electric mower with no real problem other than shorter run time. The mower pulverized the leaves in just 2 passes-no leaf chunks-fine shreddings.I just don’t have time to rake the leaves then grind them with another piece of equipment then having to spread the cutting out again.Just use the mower-leaves ground up in site with less work and less time.Less dust from the mower, too.
Both machines are great time savers. But I prefer the design of the Worx, It’s a Beast! The Worx looks like a great way to mulch leaves 🍁 🍃 as well as shred paper 📄 and mail📩. Thanks for sharing!
When I have a lot of leaves, I push them onto a big tarp and use a lawnmower to chop them up. Then I store them in paper lawn bags until I can put them in the compost pile. When I have fewer leaves, I pick them up with the lawnmower bag and dump them right on top of the compost pile. Because they have the lawn clippings mixed in, they break down fast. I also rake up acorns and leave these in bags by the curb for the town.
Worx always have Great Design. Love all the Worx tools. I just recently bought a Worx Trivac 3-in-1 Leaf Blower, Mulcher, Vac. Tested it today and Yeah, I love it to.
The Worx stock trimmer line doesn't last and as it wears, the mulcing performance diminishes significantly. I swapped out the stock line with a highly rated .095" twisted line. It was initially difficult to feed the slightly thicker line (.095" vs .090"), but I was successful with a little coaxing. Morning dew and Fall rain are a reality for many homeowners, so perfectly dry leaves aren't always available. Even slightly damp leaves caused the Worx to eventually become clogged. The thicker stronger line pretty much solved that problem. The storage aspect of the Worx also was a big factor for me as this item is only used seasonly.
As always, Ginja, that was helpful and entertaining! The only problem is that now I want to spend money on these things and my wife is shaking her head at me because of it.
Your neighborhood looks so much like one of my buddies parents neighborhood in east Layton, Utah. Thanks for reviewing this. I really need/want a leaf mulcher and was glad to see the side by side comparison of the two I’ve been considering.
Excellent video. I have the Sun Joe. I found what works best is a plastic garbage can under it. Also those huge paper lawn bags do fit under it. You're right that it's slow at grinding the leaves and I push them down not with my hands but with a piece of firewood. Your last results with the Sun Joe are what I get--lots of very finely ground mulch.

Number 1 again trevor! You're on fire!
I love it! Thank You! My wife wants me to curb-side the leaves, but I know this is not sustainable...We are surely depleting our soil of vital organic nutrients!
It is true! It's pretty much free fertilizer!
Good choice!
This year I attached tubing to my Toro vac and put the other end over the Worx shredder. So the leaves get mulched twice!! Worked great.
That's awesome! I bet it does a great job!
Cheers ...
Totally agree. It's a great idea too. Thanks for sharing

Big Ned! He was awesome. Thanks!
Thanks for the support Fahim! I'm an amazon affiliate. I get paid a couple of bucks. every bit helps! Thanks for watching and supporting me.
@@pestandlawnginja You are indeed welcome. Keep up the good work 😀
I've raked leaves onto my driveway and used my mower to mulch them for 40 years/ This is a small city lot and I get about 20ea 30gal barrels of leaf fall most years.
Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Try it!
Nice! Gotta love some good old fashion leaf compost
Totally diggin' your description.
Will definitely miss Big Ned’s contributions to your videos. Sorry for your loss.
me too! It was a pleasure to have him around. Such a simple dog and easy to trust.
The video will definitely be a help to folks looking for a good shredder.
awesome feedback Ed. thank you
To keep grass out of the leaves, cut the grass slightly shorter on the last mow, and raise the cutting deck for mulching leaves. That will keep grass out of the mix.
for sure! Great suggestion!
Why is it important to keep the grass out of the leaves?
My Honda mower does a great job chopping up leaves in bagger mode plus the grass clippings are mixed in so it has a good mix of green and brown for faster decomposing. I dump it into my flower beds 2 to 4 inches thick and in the spring just till it in, whatever is left I put in the compose bin and the following fall I have a nice supply of compose Not putting those shedders down they did a good job but for my money I prefer just using the mower. good review though I enjoy your channel.
Very cool! There are so many ways to doing it right
Thank you so much for the time you took to complete your in-depth review.
You're welcome Kyle! Thanks for watching and commenting
@@pestandlawnginja Thanks!
You're welcome!
Great review! Also, my sympathies about Ned. He was a star of these videos😊
Thanks George! He was the man! Such a funny dog.
Thanks for the video, I always just ran the mower and bagger and then I would dump the bagger into the mulcher.
This double shred would produce very small pieces that would decompose over the winter.
I always just mulch mow my maple leaves back into the yard. I have a Husqvarna push mower with a gator blade. Seems to work pretty well.
That'll work well with the gator blades.
I really liked your review. Honest and to the point. No a lot of useless chatter.
Thanks for the feedback Gracie!!!! Really appreciate it!
I mulch with my Honda mower. Then I go around a second time with the bag on.
Mostly dust at that point. Enough escapes for fertilizer.
Perfect!
The leaf mulcher shredders compared to the lawn mower was EXACTLY THE COMPARISON I NEEDED... A+ AGAIN GINJA ..👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🙋🌹GA USA
Glad you enjoyed it!!!
I had an old snapper lawn mower. It was awesome. super heavy and cut perfect.

Snapper sold out and I don't think they kept the original Snapper. Now in the US they are about the same as Toro. @@scottfirman

Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun project!
Your vids are so helpful and informative. They’re also some of the best parts of my TH-cam “rabbit holes” keeping me sane during these strange and challenging times.
Glad you like them! Love the feedback!
@@pestandlawnginja Couldn’t the wire overheat the motor?
@@nancywebb6549 as long as you got wire that was as light as the plastic you're good. most twisted pairs are pretty comparible in my opinion.

Awesome demo! You really put a lot into it w/out being biased. I agree w your assessment in favor of the Worx. Thanks! He is a legend for sure
Sure, I watch this video after I bought a brand new house with small new trees. My old house had mature trees that took weeks to clean up the leaves. Ten years from now the Worxs will be great! 😎
Good call! I know the feeling of those big trees. had a few at my last property. luckily the wind would carry everything to the neighbors hahaha.
Love the feedback! Thanks John
Great video, I never even knew this product existed. I have always just put my mower on the highest ride hight and attached the bagger onto it to collect/mulch all the leaves.
Glad to help
I had a gasoline type leaf eater and I modified the cut hopper ratio to be smaller. It really worker well on leaves and pine needles . And since it was non-electric, I could cut wet leaves 🍁/ needles. Also I didn’t need a long extension cord. I could go anywhere and mulch. I’d get another, but can’t find any. 11-24-2019
Sounds awesome! I've never seen one personally but sounds like you had a good one
You can suck up, mulch, bag, cordless, 20-1 reduction. No noise, fumes, fuel to deal with. ICE is LAST century tech.
You waste more time struggling with smaller, thinner bags and paper bags.
great feedback Joe. thanks for commenting.
Pine needles do not acidify the soil. There are some videos explaining this on youtube. It is an old wives tale that has been perpetuated.
I've read that green needles have a very low pH, whereas brown needles are more neutral.
You know..... I looked into this pretty heavily and I see your point. My issue is I've seen and taken soil samples by pine trees and arborvitae bushes and the ph was dramatically different up to 3 ft out from the trunks. but that doesn't mean causation was the needles or leaves so I agree with you.
very excited that I watched this video before making the final decision to purchase the worx mulcher. Thanks for making it
Glad I could help!
I use my lawnmower to do the job. Works great!

Rest In Peace Big Ned!
So sorry for your loss brother!
Thanks Eric! He will go down as a legend
Great point!
I’ve been dumping my leaves in a small spot in the woods for 22 years never mulch them , nature does that, pile never gets bigger
Nice! That's awesome. Wish I had property to do that to
hail compost! we'll be worm food soon.
I will do that when I buy my next property. My current home has a road behind, neighbors on both sides, and a ton of White Oak and Maple leaves that have to be hauled off each season.
Mulching just makes it go faster. Useful for those with minimal space.

Happy to help! Have a great day
The dad jokes run in the family don’t they?
Gotta love the dad jokes!
Love what you're saying. Early on in my career I had the same experience with the leaves creating a weed barrier and killing the grass.
curious if finer if put bag through a second time
It will for sure. but you have to be really patient and slow putting the materials through the second time.
@@pestandlawnginja i havr an idea, use the sunjoe ( or the adjustable ) above the works ( or the not adjustable ) and a bag underneath. There. Boom!!!
Love it! It would probably work too!
I love my Sunjoe! I am definitely going to get one-ofthose pop up bags to catch the leaves. I love the leaf grabbers because you can push the leaves down and get more leaves in the plastic bags. I clean up my neighbor’s two huge maple trees.
I still love the bags. use them all the time.
Recommend hearing protection and dust protection as well watching your family helping.
If you are not going to use a mulching lawn mower, why don’t you just shove the leaves into a trash can and put you string trimmer in - like an immersion blender?
safety first for sure! The trash can idea works but it's a lot of hassle. Few extra steps and doesn't simplify the job in my opinion.
hearing protection for a small electric motor? do you use ear muffs when using a blinder or food processor?
In his defense it does get loud. those that have sensitive ears could have some ringing for sure.
Purchased the Worx leaf mulcher. Have giant amount of leaves to be processed. Wet leaves clog the unit quickly, otherwise it works good. Have to replace string every couple of bags. Could use a thicker string, but design may not allow. Would recommend to others.
Thanks for sharing!
Fire pit + toss leaves in = done = leafy ash = fertilizer material...

@@charadremur333 who makes such laws?
Klepto Naisa works better with grass clippings as leaves naturally have the perfect amount of carbon to nitrogen. Grass clippings do better composting with some wood ash though for carbon.

Glad you liked it!
I just mow them, seems way easier
LOL its a trade. If you blow all the leaves in a pile it goes very quickly.
For the Worx, Grass Gator 0.80" line fits and cuts excellent and is very durable. It has a spiral profile which makes a fine cut. We haven't tried this line on wet leaves yet.

Great video, totally worth watching!
the leaves would have to be very very dry.

That is awesome! Sorry about the finger! Took it like a man!
(That's if you are trying to get them as small as possible.)
it would work! It's a great way to create a compost.

Glad it was helpful!
That's awesome! Glad that's working out for you!
I would think these should be a must have for any dedicated composter or gardener
They are pretty amazing and the nutrients you get out of the leaves is amazing
I have a high power wheeled model, I just drive it over the leaves
😂😂😂 Love it!
I always just mow leaves. It is the easiest method and works very nicely.
Great tip!
That's awesome the mower worked that well. I find if you blow the leaves in a pile and put them in the machine it saves a ton of time.
Both machines are great time savers. But I prefer the design of the Worx, It’s a Beast! The Worx looks like a great way to mulch leaves 🍁 🍃 as well as shred paper 📄 and mail📩. Thanks for sharing!
Totally agree!
As I filled 23 bags at my in-law's yesterday, I remembered this video. I bring their leaves to my house and mulch my tree areas.
right on! that's awesome
I also rake up acorns and leave these in bags by the curb for the town.
awesome
Worx always have Great Design.
Love all the Worx tools. I just recently bought a Worx Trivac 3-in-1 Leaf Blower, Mulcher, Vac. Tested it today and Yeah, I love it to.
Thanks for sharing!
Second test included dried (decent sized) pecans twigs & leaves. Could not even tell the pecans were in the mulch.
Which line did you buy?
love the feedback!
As always, Ginja, that was helpful and entertaining! The only problem is that now I want to spend money on these things and my wife is shaking her head at me because of it.
Sounds like you need to move closer to me so I can share hahaha
Your neighborhood looks so much like one of my buddies parents neighborhood in east Layton, Utah. Thanks for reviewing this. I really need/want a leaf mulcher and was glad to see the side by side comparison of the two I’ve been considering.
he was the best neighbor ever.
I was shocked when I swapped the line out with the twisted pair line. Did a phenomenal job.
