Waited 2 years for this, Makita got stuck, bought a dewalt, pulled the makita back out from back of garage, did as you said, makita fixed, thank you sir👍
Hello Dean Doerthy, greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I wanted you to know that I love your videos, they are very good and I also learn a lot since I think that, just like you, I love power tools. greetings and blessings !!
Nice work yet again. Your approach to repair is admirable. The amount of people that are going to attempt what you make look easy is garn leave a lot of tools in pieces for a long time. With the owners saying. "Dean made it look easy." (Not this one...) That is pure skill, thanks for sharing your insights and brilliant attitude 🇦🇺🤠👌
@@woshinwb what a profoundly useless comment. Who knew videos on the internet were edited? I also didn’t say anything about the press. Reevaluate yourself my friend.
Grease nipple method worked for me. Also, Dean just quickly put the base on which means you need to recalibrate toe-in. The front should be 0.15mm tighter to the track than the back of the blade or you risk dragging rear teeth.
I know so many people with this problem. Does not happen to Orher saws, Festool, Mafell, Milwaukee. This should be a product recall. Ridiculous that this type of saw should do this.
A second set of hands to hold the saw steady. Balance it in a metal tube over the pin housing. And use a blow torch, punch and hammer to beat it out. Or if you have a big enough vice you could use the vice as a press

Not for the faint of heart - throws
Screws everywhere and still finishes in less than 20 minutes.
Legend.
Its edited and you risk breaking the housing without the exact suppport on the back of the press. Also you need a press to get it out. Not easy

Yep, clean your tools after use, won't make you less manly...

@dean Hey Dean, If you haven’t got a press what’s the diy version of getting the pin out at home?
