sims 3 Generations had the prom-night event, for which your teenage sim could get asked out to. I was playing with a family with a teenagegirl who got a call asking her out, I said yes, because I liked that she got a date without me meddling with it. the prom itself was a rabbit hole in the school, but I did get a text saying she had her first kiss, I was extatic. after the prom she had a moodlet of that. Happily I looked through her contacts to look at the Sim and it was her grandfather. xD apparently the game asked you out by the person you had the best connection to (who presumably wasn't on the lot)
In Twinbrook, most residents have lost ties in their family tree to the dead and urns with ashes and graves in random places after some disaster. Maybe Bayless took advantage of this? In addition, there is a theory that one resident of the town, Anna-Lisa Riddle, is their mother. Although in herself she represents writers of the detective genre
It’s not impossible to inbreed your Sims just wait like three or four generations and as long as there is a far enough generational gap you can technically inbreed the sims in any sims I believe even from sims 2, 3, and 4.
I'm currently testing this theory in the Sims 4. I haven't purchased any recent packs so I'm not 100% sure on where to find a Family tree with less than two clicks but I did notice something in CAS. Setting up a gameplay with a spellcaster story I wanted to make a legacy of spellcasters so I started with a couple and just kept making one generation after the other until I got to teen (who is going to be my main focus of the gameplay). What I noticed was that after a grandchild there's no other relationship than house mate So.... I have a character that's a great grandfather and a great granddaughter. But in game they have no bio relationship. Maybe it's a glitch. I'm not a legacy gamer. I really just wanted a chaotic menace to unleash in Newcrest but with one day left to age up I'll test the theory and let y'all know. Edit to confirm: you can flirt with a great-grandparent 😳
yep, in the sims 3 the same way, I had an immortal witch through elixirs and she was not considered a relative of her great-great-grandson and could have a romantic relationship with him. In general, the children of cousins (second cousins) can have romantic relationships, it is still necessary to check grandparents siblings and their great-nephews
yeah sims 2 and 3 once it's more than i donno three steps away they are no longer family. I had someone flirt with their great grandfather in the Sims 2. Only the active house hold ages, so...
In Sims 4, I've got a family I created by creating the adult sims and then using genetics to create all of the children to get the family started. The father can flirt with his teenage daughter... It's really not okay. You'd think having that relationship would offset a "flirty" or "romantic" personality trait, but I guess it doesn't. Even with the two still being members of the same household.
It does. The romantic options don't appear if you try to flirt with your cousin even though the game doesn't tell you they are your cousin. My sim was trying to flirt with another sim and I was wondering why the romantic options didn't appear only to realise later on their parents were siblings 😅
Don't know about inbreeding but some unnecessary stuff is somewhat labeled as incest. So I got a mum and her daughter, and dad and his son get together with the age appropriate one of the other family. So when they got married, and we're already pregnant, because I wasn't sure if the game would even let them,so from the younger couple ,the now husband and wife were also step siblings. And their child was also their niece/ nephew. The older couple, the parents, had also a child. And the family tree was so broken 😅
i do think the incest is implied since like you mentioned the bayless are supposed to be an over the top representation of what rural southern families are like😭
Actually, is possible to inbreed in Sims 3, since the family tree has limitations. For example, grandchildren of aunts/uncles are not considered related, so you can marry them. The same goes for 5th° generation children. You can marry your great great grand-mother/father (using ambrosia to revive them) or your great great grandchild (using the fruit of life to keep yourself young or the flower of death to persuade The Reaper until the 5th° generation comes around).
Well it’s not technically impossible in sims 4. Years ago I was able to get two sims married, they were distant cousins, but the game doesn’t recognise “distant cousins” (or it didn’t back then) a while later when story progression was introduced one of the married cousins got preggers and gave birth to twin boys, and their grandparents were related but not connected in the family tree. It’s bizarre.
Love me remembering playing sims 2 and I got 2 capps married who were the kids of the in game capps So it will allow inbreeding, just the more aristocratic nth cousins over siblings 😂😂
The French colonized Louisiana and that still effects them to this day. There is a creole that is almost only spoken by people from Louisiana that come from French called Louisiana creole. There's also Louisiana French and the ethnic group Louisiana creoles. Edit: plus a ton of other things.

Random fact, in sims 3 they can get with their second cousins. Create new sims every few generations folks.
