My nephew is into the pioneer days stuff where I'm from, they started a cooler version of the boy scouts basically but I think this would be a good gift for him and being 1095 he can finally learn to sharpen lol

1095 is a great steel to learn how to sharpen you can use a regular oil stone and get great results and its a life skill worth having

Can you please measure the thickness of the blade in mm?
Its difficult to get a reading with my dial caliber but I would say 2.8 mm
I can’t see the tang so I expect it’s a stick tang on a knife this small it wouldn’t be a issue
What brand was that small folder?
