Made it last week. Absolutely loved it and best of all , you can make a superb dinner with cheaper cuts of meat !! . Win ,win. you guys Rock. Love from Glasgow 🙏
This is chuffin great my kids have already asked for this again. Started following you in lock down and we have not had a takeaway since. Thanks Chin & Choo
I love the new way of filming but the front, high angle is just a tiny bit too high @4:41, it’s like a CCTV angle, so I’d bring it down a little, which makes it more personal between yourselves and the viewer.. But I still like it, 😊
Fantastic!!!!! I am going to amend my Mongolian Beef recipe, which I have only done once, to yours! Yes please, a Lye Water lesson would be good and I really like your new way of filming!
Oh wow that looks amazing, I love beef jerky so super excited to try this out. Put me down for another vote to make Lye Water, there are other vids on youtube that tell you how to do it, but I don't trust them lol.
What a great video and I think the world of Chin and Choo. Thanks for making day with this video upload. I'm interested to know how you make Lye water? Dunno if I spelt that right? Also love the new camera set up
I didn’t have any beef, so I used chicken instead and guess what…….It was Soooooooooo good. Can’t wait to try it with beef. Keep up the good work you two🍺
Please do a video to make (Kansui) Lye Water 🙏 BTW Thank you for yet another excellent recipe, can this be done with lamb, I seem to remember a chinese take away where I used to live had a very similar Mongolian Lamb dish... 👍😉👍❤🥢🍜😀
Looks awesome. Very much looking forward to learning the alternative beef tenderising technique when you have time to make a video on it please!... 😁👍🏴 P. S. Either format of video is great by me, whichever allows you to produce videos with the greatest ease, lowest production time and cost to you. Both work great!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to have some time off and give it a go. Would love to see a video on the bicarb alternative. Loving the new set up too. Same/similar to the charity live stream? 💜
Another stunning looking and beautiful dish. This is definitely a must make dish. BUT! Is it me loosing it or is my morphine pain killer thrown me into La La La land 🤪 as I couldn’t find any reference for the the sauce recipe anywhere!!! Oh btw, The Panda Express near my office in Dallas had both the their orange chicken dish and as a special, The Mongolian beef used to be on the menu 😁 Andy
I’m so going to try this over the weekend, thanks guys for the idea. ❤️ Quick question instead of lye water would meat tenderiser work just as well? 🤔🤔🤔
Gonna admit that I tossed the beef in the deep fryer, really just to save a few minutes while I did the sauce step. It was still awesome. 15 chili pods would have killed us, though, so I used 4 - it was enough. I'll try the beef technique again, but I'll try it with "the usual" Cantonese-American brown sauce. Thanks!
It's like General Tso is more popular in the USA. I don't think I have ever seen it in the UK..... Not saying it doesn't exist but I've never seen it on take away menus and I've been to different ones in my life time. Unless it has a different name here in the UK? I will defo give this a go, a few years back I did crispy beef with spicy orange sauce - went down extremely well.
If you haven’t done it already I’d love to see a show on how to make the bicarbonate of soda substitute , sorry I couldn’t get the name, I’m hopeless….great video thanks Xx❤xX
One dish that's huge in the UK that I wish was bigger here in the USA is chili beef. They have a version of it at Panda Express but it's not nearly as nice as what you fixed. They call it "Beijing beef".
we have a stand alone video for that, also we used to do that in every video and everyone complained they were to long, you have to go with the masses on here
You can get our Chinses Takeaway Cooking Bible as an eCookbook on amazon kindle app here: amzn.to/3ebLYLZ
Is there a Chinese dish with muscle can you let me know new subscriber been watching for the last 4 months

I have some beef 🥩 so going to try this unusual recipe 👍👍🤞🏻
Colin
Hope you like it!

Had this a few times in Glasgow, superb taste! Thanks

It should be a mandatory dish at any takeaway - some of the best mongolian beef I ever had was from a street food stall in Sydney. Absolutely LOVE it!
Would love to learn how make this dish ❤
Another vote here for the Lye water video 👋
Great recipe! Will definitely try this one
Coming soon!

Great stuff as always you two. Really appreciate all your hard work. 👍🏻

Looks delicious 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 😋
ive tried a few places .. crispy beef .. always to much oil .. but this i like .. will give it a go ...
Really enjoying your channel guys. Do you have a video of crispy Mongolian lamb that goes on a lettuce leaf with Houston sauce by any chance?
No sorry we don’t
That's disappointing but thank you for your quick response though and keep up the good work@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop
Can you use the book beef prep for this, instead of water soaking, then move into the flour step?
yes but it will be a bit more tough, i'd add a touch more bicarb
I’m so going to try this over the weekend, thanks guys for the idea. ❤️ Quick question instead of lye water would meat tenderiser work just as well? 🤔🤔🤔
Use bicarb instead 😊
What was the liquid you used to tenderize the beef?
Its called Kansui, also known as Lye Water
I’ve got the short stubby facing heaven dried chillies, can I use some of them instead if the longer thinner ones?
those long ones arent as hot, there more for show so use less
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop I might use none :) but will see

yeah thats another one, but had loads of brits say they have it in there locals, ive never seen it though
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop maybe it's a regional thing? Where I live I too have never seen it on the menu? Odd.

Lovely. Lye water recipe please!
Ok, thank you
Looks delicious! I wonder how it got the name Mongolian, isn't it from Taiwan?
Yes and its just something they made up
Hi, any news on the delivery of your book? Mine hasn't arrived.
you need to email contact@chinandchoo.com :)
I have made this from other videos on You Tube but have to try your version soon thanks
Kaaaaannnsssuuiiii please
Lush! Please, please, please pop up the process to make the Lye Water.
I tend to make 'mongolian' sauce with hoisin. Am I doing it wrong?
Not at all, there are afew way of doing this :)
Looks really yummy. Liking the camera setup. Vote for your lye water theq
Thank you! Will do!

Oooh i actually drink alkaline water anyway. Never thought to use it for this
Honey chicken next
It’s going up as a short soon :)
It looked like 4 heaped TABLESPOONS of Potato Starch NOT teaspoons????? Heat of the moment?
Yeah table spoons, didn’t even notice that
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop Tech Author's proof-reading skills when I amended my recipe to yours!
The beef, being sliced up would have been nice.
we have a stand alone video for that, also we used to do that in every video and everyone complained they were to long, you have to go with the masses on here
cow tripe and intestines tasty for me sir
.
I'm putting my hand up for lye water 💦
It’s going to be filmed soon :)
There was a place in Paisley that did Mongolian, twos excellent... but the polis shut them down cos they were all illegals lol.
Well disappointed!
