  • Part two of winter foraging! Like the first part, this video is less focused on detailed plant identification and more stream-of-consciousness general information. It's meant to show the diversity of wild edibles you can forage in the winter, and get you excited about trying it yourself!
    Again, a quick reminder for you to check local ordinances before harvesting wild edibles from any parkland.

    Hi Maria! Finally, one of my late night TH-cam journeys pays off! These winter foraging videos are great (even with the camera issues! Lol!) I’ll be checking out your earlier uploads - thanks for sharing!

      Thank you! I hope to get a "real" camera so I can produce higher quality videos. But budget videos will do for now! :)

    1:00 Eastern Hemlock - Tea
    2:22 Crab Apple - Eat after frost
    3:30 Hackberry trees - Might be berries on the tree
    3:50 Black Walnuts - Nuts might be found under the tree
    5:00 Red Cedar (related to junipers) - Look for dark blue berries
    6:00 Hackberry tree - berry with the seed
    7:15 White Cedar - Tea - don't drink a ton of it.
