Thank you a thousand times over! I'm a widow who has learned over the years to take care of these things myself. But, I needed you for this assembly. The unit works great. Good job. Thanks for teaching so clearly. S. Haslouer
Thanks a bunch. The manual instructions were very limited. The extra details in your video saved me a lot of time and aggravation.
Easy to use Has awesome suction power and easy to assemble. We’ve had this for a few weeks now. Great suction, not loud and working well! Very easy to put together and install.
I just got it !! thanks for the video very helpful !!! it works great
Thank you brother..
Helpfully tips. 👍
Thank you sooooo much, now the darn thing is working correctly. Actually moving up the walls and around the pool like it should. Thanks again.
DUDE! THANK YOU!!! I hate reading manuals!!! Great tutorial! Much appreciated!!!
Yay! It works, it is clicking away getting that bottom film. And no broke parts. Of course nothing slipped and locked easily, lots of pushing and angle addjustments, but it all went together. I am just sitting back now with a smile while it is working. Only cost 70dollars, I hope it lasts two years.
I typically flush my hose, once in the pool, using the return jets to fill with water, to avoid air being sucked into the filter. I would ask if this is a wasted step, but I don't think I'd get any responses. Unless, TH-cam notifies you of additional comments on a video that you commented on, a year ago. So... I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. Better safe than sorry.
Great informative video. I have a Stingray, which is the same thing, but black.
Great job, my friend. Thanks for teaching us all how to use this contraption. Everything works FANTASTIC! :-)
Thank you brother for your help
You had that pressure regular there, and I did not see you install it. Can't get my new ProVac workin... ugh!
Can this work with an above ground pool?
Yes it can assuming you have some form of water pump in your pool. Here's a video of general installation instructions for vacuums and above grounds pools that I found. th-cam.com/video/crZ7NCUlpsk/w-d-xo.html
My first hose will not stay on the vaccuum fo i need an adapter of some kind? I have thae hayward aquaray dc1000
Unfortunately I haven't encountered this issue before. I tried looking at Amazon reviews to see if anyone else reported similar problems and saw nothing as well.
Hi hi. Did you do a part 3? I just installed mine using your video. Thank you!!!
u made my day, thanks a lot man!
Am I supposed to leave my filter in the skimmer? Where does the algae go? I have an above ground pool and it appears I have to attach the hose to the pump in the skimmer?
Are you just using pool related words and trying to form a sentence? I'm sorry but these questions don't make sense to me. Else, I would love to help you out Carys!
poolnoob You didn’t have to be a jerk about it. You could have just refrained from answering. Disregard, another individual answered my question. Wow, you must be bored.
@@texasrose9188 Not bored. I just try to respond ASAP as I know how frustrating it can be to be in the middle of troubleshooting and feeling lost. Your questions however came across botlike. Glad someone was able to help you out.
why do you run the main drain?? does it suck in dirty water and filter it? purpose?
how is the regulator attached to the female end of the hose? I noticed that the iinstructor had problems with the attachment.
So in your video I cannot really hear any loud ticking noise or see hose vibrating like in my application. Did you find these same issues or has any else had these issues? What can I try to alleviate these two problems?
From what I've seen, the vibrating hose and loud ticking noise means water is flowing too fast through the hose. The loud ticking noise I've witnessed is the strong suction occurring on the pool floor. The stronger the suction, the louder the tick.
This is where shutting the main drain valve reduces the amount of water trying to pass through the vacuum port.
Thank you so much for this!!! It helped me a lot!!!
I saw you posted a link below for an adapter plate. I have an 18' x 52" above ground and online said the vacuum was compatible with my system and it's not. The link for the adapter plate isn't opening, do you know where i can find the video prior to returning my vacuum? Thank you! Your assembly video was an AWESOME help!!
You happened to just catch me online. I don't own an above ground pool but here is a video I just happened to search showing an adapter plate being used to hook up an automatic vacuum. th-cam.com/video/YEW-QUyP2Iw/w-d-xo.html . It looks like it just sits right inside the skimmer port.
Doing a quick amazon search, here is one that has lots of 4+ star reviews. www.amazon.com/Hayward-SP1106-Skim-Ground-Skimmer/dp/B003ZTF8HS/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_86_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FYY7237NMPPB06VN3SGV
Scroll down and you'll find a lot of similar ones with varying sizes.
Hope that helps! Best of luck!
Is it possible to get a copy of the instructions manual or if you have a site where I can get one, mine did not come with one. Tha ks!
Unfortunately, I don't have mine anymore or I would scan it in for you. I believe the Kreepy Krawly manual however is as close as it gets. I found the Milliard manual to have plagiarized quite a bit of material out of here. Or perhaps Milliard was first!

Your the man appreciate the how to video.
How do you open the vacuum line? We got this from our prior home owner and don't know how to operate it. No manuals or instructions left. It just lays flat in the water and does not move
JA A Does your pool have a vacuum port or are you connecting it via the skimmer? If the vacuum port is showing no circulation, then typically one of the lines are closed near the pool pump. You may see two pipes coming into a t-shaped connector. If the t connector is perpendicular to both lines then both are open. However if the t connector handle is parallel to a line, that typically means it's closed. Moving the handle 90 degrees will open the line.
I know it can be intimidating to just start mucking with the pipes but I promise you that water won't just start draining from the pool. Try one thing at a time, see if it works, if not, put it back how it was and try a different line.
Another issue may be that there is too many things open. Particularly the main drains. Those are those circular things at the bottom of the pool. I actually had to close mine off to force the water to circulate more through the vacuum port line.
Hope this helps. Of course you can always send me some pics of your setup and I can see if anything sticks out
Thanks for the reply. Your answer really helped!
Mine keeps getting caught in the corner by the steps. Do you have that issue?
I am a little late, but I'm going to post a video of several issues I've encountered since owning this for over a year. The weights seem to be very important to making this product a stud or dud in my opinion. Over time, I'm leaning toward dud.
Thank you! thank you.! Thank you!
Wheres the other video?
Where is the promised dirty pool video poolnoob?
Jorge your comment got me to finally get that last video uploaded despite being filmed over three years ago and partially edited before the passing of my lab/blue heeler mix, Birdie. Better late than never. Enjoy.
Does it work with above ground pools
I don't know your setup, but if you have a skimmer and a circulation system, there's a way. A lot of above ground pools require adapter plates for pool vacuums (ref: th-cam.com/video/hbKAgeGta2E/w-d-xo.html). I don't see why hooking this automatic pool vacuum up to the adapter plate in lieu of a regular pool vacuum wouldn't work.
use the return to get the hose filled with water, if it sucks in air, your gonna have to prime it!! ty for this video. The instructions SUCK!! you don't
Thank you. The directions are terrible.
