@itachi1284 The main character has not forgotten his past and his parents are alive. He is also a very upbeat guy who doesn't know everything there is to know about the world, but is smart enough to occasionally to know that 1+1=2. I'd say that's very un-anime like :D
@brainjuice654 tsuyoshi sekito is a god when it comes to music, i dunno what did he smoke when he came up with TLR music but holly shit its fucken good!
@knowwhoiamyet lol! Only an unruly group of teenagers could have the gall to face against enemies who have he power to command ice in nothing but skimpy clothing. That's the power of JRPGs :D
@pengudeus pff, yup. Its true. no matter what the situation is, if you have a designated name, you're nearly invincible. If you fought someone in bulky armor like Garland, but his name was just "Elite soldier" he would be a pushover. You fight the same thing, but his name is Garland, and you're screwed. Its not the clothes or the weapons, its the NAMES.
@pengudeus inconveniently designed weapons? what about the frigging clothes they wear into battle? I mean, 1 they had armor and robes, good, never played 2, in 3 they had armor or padded leather, etc, in 7 they have pants, short shorts, wife beaters, etc. Its brutal. A giant sword like Cloud's is only asking for sore shoulders.
@brainjuice654 I haven't played FF12 fully. It felt like they wanted to make an action RPG combined with their usual turn-based style. However, there didn't seem to be much point in moving during combat as enemies could hit me with a close-range attack from well beyond their reach. But maybe the story is worth the caveats of the battle system. I do hear good things about it.
@PokoWorks i think unlimited saga 3 killed the series for me, i mean i'm sure it's a good series but still *shivers* unlimmited saga 3 scarred me for life, what the hell were the developers thinking!?
@pengudeus though it is simalar to final fantasy 12, bacically if you liked final fantasy 12, you weill love this game. i particularly didn't like ff 12 but i like the old ff games. to me, this game is the next gen final fantasy, screw ff 13, this is where it's at
This game is hardly like FF at all. It's a plot that focuses mostly on politics for the majority of the first disc and the characters are realistic as opposed to pretty-boys who wield inconveniently designed weapons.
my favorite place to visit for the music to change my formations and coming up with new tactics
We need to hear Sekito's work in more square games, he's too good to not be used more.
This Game is underrated for its OST

They are when they are simply massive and/or ridiculous gun hybrids, anyway.

This is almost better than the melphina song
tsuyoshi sekito should compose the music for all of squares games he's way better than masashi hamuzu
