Since the P2.1 update I've noticed that the car picks up charging speed a lot faster (with increments of 10kW instead of 1-2kW), at least at the IONITY stations where I usually charge.
If the car is on 1.7, it's already missed a few updates; 1.8, 1.9, 2.0 and now 2.1. Once you run a lot behind, a visit to the dealer is the only way to get the latest update. I seems to happen sometimes
Really thinking og getting my self a Polestar 2, but can anyone here tell me if there is a great tire noise difference between the Performance pack 20” and the 19”?
lol did not get that part. But if he did have winter tires on, that definitely contributed to the higher than expected consumption. As winter tires will be over-soften in warm temperature and creates extra friction.
Hey Kris. I am loving your content. 2023 model Polestar 2 year promises improved range (up to 418 km EPA for dual motor). Are 2021/2022 models already range numbers already reflecting the improvements made in the new model year as well from all of the software updates?
Hi Kris, I have always liked the Polestar 2, but I think the most interesting alternative to the Tesla Model 3LR/P is the BMW i4M50. When do you think you might be testing that one?
One Pedal Driving does not increase or decrease the consumption. I’ve tested this in a video last year, and got the exact same consumption regardless of OPD setting. The reason for this is that the car does regen the same amount regardless of the OPD setting.
@@KrisRifa ok, I drive a P2 Single motor Long range and it certainly makes difference to turn off OPD when driving at high speed motorways. With regen you always have to do micro-accerelations, which consumes power. Without, the car sails more and consume less. I prefer OPD in cities though, for more low-speed comfort.
@@KrisRifa : It affects range. Polestar fixed it in their latest update (2.2). You should seriously consider the latest update. 1.7 is downright antique.
Need to go to service as you're behind on a few updates already. Also, this test is entirely void imo. Winter tires on 20° celsius? They'll create a lot more friction than summer tires at this weather.
Winter tires at 20 degrees Celsius? Won't the tires almost melt and stick to the asphalt as glue (resistance will be really high)?
My xc40 got stuck on an old software version also. Had to bring it to the dealer to get it resolved. The OTA update for 2.1 was flawless though

I haven't seen many videos out there with this sort of testing on the SM LR
Getting my 2023 standard range 69 kWh next week, gonna be interesting to compare the range with this 64 kWh.

That looks like my route up to Trysil ski resort! Great vid
Stått lenge denne bilen hos Polestar?1.7 og vinterdekk....
Great review 👍

Winter tires in June? 😱

@@carlxlinify take a look at the profile of the tires at 1:20 these are definitely winter tires.

I get 17 kwh/100km at those speeds and if I floor it it’s 20kwh. I’m on 2.2 update with Apple car play. I have LRSM and I get 480km on a charge
Maybe the Gap from 1.7 to 2.1 to big, so just went to a volvo dealer and let them update the software
Is navigation set for a charging point destination? Does it affect any range due to preheating upon arrival?
No it was not set, so that the car does not preheat and use more energy 😊👍
I got the same version and i ran 330 km with 11% to go 😊
Agree, I easily get 300km motorway range. Yours is pretty impressive tho!

Did you turn off OPD during this test? Without OPD, it makes the car "sail" more, and gives better consumption.

I find the same as @@micker5648. My commute is 75% highway driving and see 10% more efficiency with OPD off.

Some cars needs to go to workshop and get the update I heard.
Aha, thanks 🙏
Regretfully the test is irrelevant for me. Motorway speed isn’t 110 kph. I will still keep 25KWh/100km in my mind for the polestar
LOL I get 17kwh per 100km at motorway speeds
Katastrof-test. Kört 36 mil med min utan problem 😂
36mil med målt snittfart på 115kph? Vennligst presenter bevis, fordi det tror jeg ikke på 🙈😅
