@@moinakbhattacharya878 Dude, you are in delusion. NIT Durgapur had been an NIT for years but still not able to match JU. Almost everyone choses JU over NIT Dgp. IIEST SHIBPUR even lags behind of NIT Dgp in placement. I know BESU is one of the oldest colleges and has a legacy of its own but it has never been able to match the brilliance of JU.

NIT has drawn major investment of central government whereas JU is languishing for funds. Hope you keep track of the news in the university and not living in the utopia of what it was 150 years ago. JU is much above to NIT Dgp and IIEST at least in placements and college life for sure. And we all know it's the most economical engineering college of India or maybe of world.🙂

You have no idea. JU is state owned, IIEST is effectively NIT kolkata now. More funds, all india exposure, less disturbance and union politics.
