You have no idea. JU is state owned, IIEST is effectively NIT kolkata now. More funds, all india exposure, less disturbance and union politics.
@@moinakbhattacharya878 Dude, you are in delusion. NIT Durgapur had been an NIT for years but still not able to match JU. Almost everyone choses JU over NIT Dgp. IIEST SHIBPUR even lags behind of NIT Dgp in placement. I know BESU is one of the oldest colleges and has a legacy of its own but it has never been able to match the brilliance of JU.
@@kundankumar1389 What NIT Durgapur has to do with IIEST ? And do you know NIT Trichy is ahead of JU in any respect? NIT has drawn major investment of central government whereas JU is languishing for funds. Hope you keep track of the news in the university and not living in the utopia of what it was 150 years ago. @@moinakbhattacharya878 I put NIT Dgp in my statement just to draw a parallel for the better understanding. JU > NIT Dgp ~> IIEST. I hope, you get the point.
@@moinakbhattacharya878 I know NIT Trichy is ahead of JU in many aspects, but not every NIT is same. Only top 3 NITs are above JU, but still I had batchmates who had left NIT T/W/K CSE/ ETCE for JU CSE/ETCE. I even had one batchmate who left IIT Kgp EE for JU CSE. JU is much above to NIT Dgp and IIEST at least in placements and college life for sure. And we all know it's the most economical engineering college of India or maybe of world.🙂
My dream is also that college and just 2 weeks left for jee last attempt
