Now i'm getting cse in all the new IIITs which don't have much alumni network and campus life. And on the other hand ETC in Shibpur is a very good alternate, as it is got good alumni network and rich campus life...also I'm somewhat interested in robotics(Arduino and stuff). So now I'm very confused regarding what to do! So dada, tomar experience beshi so kicchu suggetion dao pls!

As Good students from the state prefer this institute so the state closing rank is lesser than other state . CST department offers a good curriculum and placement opportunities too...But evaluate other Colleges too before taking admission. All the best

@@lambdadelta3170sorry to say but NIT dgp has the NIT tag only, one of my batchmates left nit dgp and came to IIEST last year because nit dgp is overrated. IIEST is one of the best for core departments and mining is simply awesome, CS/IT toh don’t even say, too good placements. You won’t know until you’re a student of the college.

Dont blindly trust any video in TH-cam. One of the TH-cam channels listed IIEST as tier 3 NIT , and others started copying. Initially the IIEST tag was much more prestigious than NIT tag,later it was joined into list of NITs. it has nice placement stats and a HUGE legacy and alumni network. IIEST belongs to tier 1.5 anyday.
