How to talk for 4:17 without saying anything at all. lololol I thought the cult of Jim Jones was madness but this "one touch and I throw you around with my chi" foolishness is next level 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are making two assumptions: one about the seefoo, another one about most masters. Making assumptions is self-defeating from the get-go. Or should I quote the seefoo: "Consciousness is key, not thinking":
Hello, very nice explanation, very simple and true. Thank you. For those that have not trodden the path then it's not really going to make much sense. It's not the same thing at all, but the flavour is a bit like understanding everything about a bicycle and how a bicycle is ridden. It's not the same as knowing how to ride a bicycle though. For Tai Chi its quite a reductive process. A lot of not doing, a lot of releasing, a lot of letting go, and a lot of accepting. Thats why it changes you, and why it is not readily achievable for most people.
That makes so much sense to become you can apply that to anything easily said hard to do discipline and practice but it's fun in the end that leaves me with a thought reflect like a mirror respond like an echo move like water thank you sensei
Very good stuff when you understand, the external versions of this you still have to do "become" some of these concepts to have a higher level of skill even in boxing, kickboxing and mma. (Not that it is about those but people fail to see the correlative realities of martial arts.)
I would love to see how his students look practicing. Especially the higher grade students. There is always this crazy flying around in the demonstration. But it’s a demonstration. Every martial art looks like a super power in a demonstration.
The difference is other martial arts actually work. These guys need the other person to "be into it" (be brainwashed) for it to work, and if it doesn't it's because "you're just a beginner and still need to master the thing". Of course a beginner can never perform a technique in any sport; but a beginner shouldn't be required to "perform receiving it" or else it won't work, know what I mean?
How does that all play with high level players from other systems like Chen, Sun, etc. in the Push Hands space? Yang being 'regal' and all. Are the other styles lesser, incorrect, or otherwise? Does it then just become a 'battle' of who can be more song?
great accuracy, yes... when you pay someone to act like you have some sort of invisible alien force :-)... that's ridiculous. I suggest everybody commenting good things about this video to first do at least some year of tai chi. Then you'll see this video in a complete different way.
They're ok. What is more important than them getting it is the exposure. For example, when I taught Kung Fu and Kenpo, the students didn't get it what I was saying or understand at first, but due to exposure, they finally got it.. It was the same with me trying to learn proper sentence structure in Tagalog when I was learning. I was lost when my teacher explained it to me, but through exposure, I finally got it.
*Yi* is *_intention_* - this is what you (Mizner) are trying to explain - basic 功夫 pronounced [kʊ́ŋfu]) often refers to the Chinese martial arts - as is wushu (martial art) and chuanfa (Fist method) - however Kungfu actually means *meritorious effort* and can be applied to any "work" whether it is the _effort_ made in becoming skillful in a martial art, or brick laying - _ni xianzai míngbaile_ ? As a teacher, Adam Mizner, you have too much Ego in your presentation.
But there's no evidence you have any internal skill so it is empty talk at this point. Did he say "Yi is not Intention"? No. So then what are you replying to? You like to beat up straw men.
@@jamesm5192 perhaps Tarotai’s criticisms have triggered you. I’m not sure that we need evidence of his skills in order to prove his criticisms are valid. We all have flaws, even Adam, I agree that Adam’s ego is too big (especially for someone who teaches meditation). I agree with most of what Adam says and think he is highly skilled. However, I do have issues with the way he markets himself and the lack of openers about his teachers (i.e. the source material for what he teaches).

@@TAROTAI So you are Paul Shackleton posting under another account? Otherwise, why would you copy and paste his paragraph verbatim 2h later - perhaps by accident? Seems like a dishonest thing to do even if you aren't Mr Shackleton... Stll unclear what part of the video you're even replying to, as I said originally.
What exactly are you saying is BS? He's talking about push-hands training with respect to the patterns that many people are taught and practise. It's a training system to develop ability at Tai Chi, his explanation and demonstration here is to help people get into it on a deeper level. Not everyone looks for that, or understands that, so it's up to the individual to decide what kind of training may best help them on their Tai Chi journey.
It's already in the title: Consciousness is Key, Not Mechanical, Not Thinking. The Sifu is just making sure that his students really understand what that means.
@@tranquil_dude it's not just this video but almost all the videos and also the online course. I gave it up after 6 months as nothing is explained simply...it's made complex for no reason.
@@rp4496 seems very simple and straightforward explanation in this video.. get out of your thinking mind, but don’t go on autopilot either. Saturate you mind/ awareness into your body, this is one of the keys. One of the reasons the explanations might not be so straightforward to you is because what is being explained is complex yet very subtle. It is kind of like explaining the smell of a flower to someone who never smelt a flower, words can not do it, the best you can do is use words to tell them “what it is NOT”, and to use the words to guide them to the field of flowers 🌺 where they can get the experience directly.
It’s not an easy thing to entirely communicate.. because it’s Yin/Yang meaning dualistic principles are constantly in flux -> the moment you say something, mention a concept or name a thing it opens up another space for its opposite counterpart to arise as well.. the practitioners heart/mind needs to be aware of very fundamental principles first before embarking on this journey.. the above comment reveals the frustrations that every practitioner will go through (more so) than any perceived limitation a genuine Master might have in communicating or transmitting the knowledge/wisdom..
I gave up in the online course...every explanation was a riddle in itself...my belief is "If you can't explain something in simple terms, you don't understand it."
I think that is the best verbalization of internal work I ever heard.
It’s pretty high up there

Sifu Adam is so generous, most masters would not give this stuff out. Or probably would not know it in the first place 😂

You have been brainwashed. He is just talking bs.. :Do not think about it. the chi will know what to do? HUH?
Not generous really, everything he said is of absolutely no use to you.
I tried these moves against a random foe on the streets and him and his entire existence was erased from this universe
sending love and peace to everyone...
This is exactly the difference between internal and external i.e. you body becomes kung-fu and not just doing a technique.

The distinction of being conscious without thinking, without trying to, without getting in the way of yourself is key.
Its not only the knowledge of Pushing somebody. Its the wisdom how life could be ,if you are awakening from the illusion of THINKING/ EGO.
you are not awakening from anything ifnyou believe this clown
It's like the same with our forms in Choy Li Fut. What he's teaching is very scientific, there's no hocus pocus in it.
Trained for awhile in it, loved it! Lee Koon Hung under his brother Li Siu.

Amazing!!
