SDM Primary key reset GM AIRBAG RESET With AUTEL Scan Tool

In this video we will cover the proper procedure for the SDM Primary Key Reset in the GMT-900 Series Trucks. This procedure also works on many other GM Makes and Models.
Using the AUTEL Scan Tool
Load Year, Make and Model with VIN
Select HVAC and Other RPO Options based on Vehicle Info
Select Sensing Diagnostic Module
Select SDM Primary Key Reset
After Reset is Complete Clear any codes in the SDM
Exit Scan Tool
Procedure is not complete

I have an autel maxisysBT up to date. I’m working on a 2020 Chevy Malibu and got the code b1001 option configuration. When I go to special functions I don’t get “set up sdm”.. ? Will this meed programming with special programmer?

I have a Autel Maxisys Ultra with J-2534 scan tool.(all current updates) Have a B1001 on a 2005 Chevy SSR with the airbag light. I go into Supplemental Inflatable restraints, as you did in your video but I for some reason do not have the options to "Setup SDM primary key in BCM" or the other option to "set up new sensing and diagnostic module" . I wonder how to approach this other than to bring it to the dealer? Thanks.

So if I get the srs module reprogrammed I install it now I got a Bunch of codes so I need this tool to reset/ erase the codes and it will work ?

Is this the same thing as relearning the VIN to the BCM? I installed a BCM and can't get the radio and door locks to work...

BCM is not flashed ot the correct vin. What year make and model?

Hello sir this is Mykeysautomotive so when we do the reset .. is it ok to add and connect new airbags now?? Will they deploy after this ..or do we have to do eeprom and flash?

I would connect bags and then do SDM reset and code clear. You can do SDM reset then install bags but have to clear codes after. No eeprom work necessary

I replaced the bcm in a 2003 Silverado 4x4 and my scantool (snapon Apollo D8) does not have the relearn option in my options...
Is this option not on 03 or is it my scanner?
