The Wii Version of Sonic Unleashed is totally different from the PS3 and Xbox 360, The Graphics are downscaled and even Levels are Different, So there is no point in comparing it (on Dolphin) with the other two emulators
@@osvetnicixd5556 Sonic Unleashed on Wii is not a bad game actually, for a person who played the Next-Gen version the entire time it's actually something new. But I can't like it as much as the Next-Gen version for obvious reasons.
My man, this video is poorly titled, I casually watched out of curiosity but realizad this video was a very helpful guide to setting this game to the PS3 emulator. You should consider changing the title as a setup guide to the game on said emulator.
I know this is months late, but there are some things overlooked in this video. 1.) F5 fixes visual glitches usually in Xenia. Not to mention, you NEED to play on Vulkan to avoid frequent crashes too. Annoying but you can work with it. 2.) For some reason, Xenia makes the game look darker? Sometimes more than others. There's an "HDR fix mod" you can get, but unfortunately the mod creator hasn't finished it and sometimes it makes the game too bright. Once finished, ideally it might make it look more vibrant and accurate though. (Apparently this doesn't seem too hard to tweak yourself- it's just changing some values in some config files associated with each area?) 3.) Xenia might have the Werehog's fur bug out in certain lighting, at least based on my experience. You need to change a setting in Xenia, to "render_target_path_vulkan = "fsi"." Needs slightly more performance supposedly but it fixes the visual glitches. Adds to the instability point, but once again shows Xenia *does* work if you know how to get it working. That's the bulk of it I think? Otherwise, while it's definitely more unstable, Xenia also unfortunately is a LOT easier to actually run, due to RPCS3's harsh requirements. As much as I hate to recommend dealing with Xenia and its annoying problems, feeling good to play is pretty important, so I think it's gonna be the go-to for most people.
@@MischieviousJirachi These CEOs or whoever make these decisions do not play video games themselves. They say they do, but they have so much pride and make such bad decisions it's amazing.
I know this is years later however i just want to address this as of 2024, using xenia canary, patches and mods is a lot better than rspc3 in my opinion as although there are crashes that can occur, you can play the game even on a mid-range pc with 60 fps. The grass explosions can be fixed pretty easily even on amd graphics cards, and you can also fix flashbangs that will occur
I have played sonic unleashed on rpcs3 with these settings for about 8 hours and I didn't have even one single crash :) sure the FPS is not consistent but it's absolutely worth it
Xenia version might be the best emulator because it's needing something like a GTX1050TI 4GB for example And using canary and pressing F5 I can fully play it
I’m using the recent Xenia canary with a fresh file and it’s running swell with hardly any crashes. Most of my crashes only happen in the hub worlds which doesn’t matter much imo.
Ive ALWAYS had an issue with rpcs3, even with a good pc, its framerate is horrible to me, so you can imagine my suprise when i played mgrr on xenia, full reshade at a stable 60 fps
Sonic Unleashed works fine fore me on RPCS3 but i do have a 13th gen CPU so that might be the reason why it works better for me, or they have improved the emulator with new updates?
What?!?! how?!?! I tried everything patches and all... on RPCS3 to get it running, but still 10-15 fps with big (input)lag. I'm the proud owner of a R5 3600 with an RX 590, which are both running at 100% of the resource to even get to the mentioned fps, maybe Nvidia cards are just better or I'm I missing something? any help is greatly appreciated!!
It's probably because of R5 3600, Its not that good for playing demanding rpcs3 games. Doesn't really matter how good your graphics card is, CPU is more important for rpcs3 games. And your CPU has 6 cores which is low because the more cores you have (with single threaded performance) the better the results . It's not strange that you got about 10-15 fps. So basically to wrap it up, Its because of you cpu
