There are so many options for adventures. How do you pick just one? And how do you turn it from a dream into reality? Grand Adventures, my new book, tackles just these questions: amzn.to/20IMYDt
Beautiful, awesome filming. I don't know how I have missed this vlog. But stunning, motivates to get out there and live it, just as much as all the other vlogs. Well done Alastair thanks for sharing.
Oh Alistair, your good, your very good, been thinking for some time about a trip but the planning always stalled the idea, but I am seeing my trip so clearly now, this is it, I'm going, thank you.
Hi Alastair....really enjoyed the insights. There were so many good points I don't think I can add to it apart from some adventures may turn into a long term project like we have done. Our adventure explores and documents the River Wye and has taken two years already. I must say I am loving your encouragement. Good on you for inspiring a generation and of course us. Until next time all the best. Mark.
Ive decided after watching this I’m going to commit to taking a bikepacking trip to the Highlands this summer. Probably July. Maybe not as remote as your Bothy Night video this time, but I think that’s what I want to work up to. Great advice! Thanks
Great tips! I've got a million ideas but saving money is impossible to do when you're in debt! For such a young guy, You seem to have it all together!? Who pays your mortgage when you're gone? (Sorry if that's too personal) Love your candidness and videos!
Hey man, that was awesome. I get that a succinct story is important when you want to write a book or shoot a film, but does it really matter if that's not your goal? In terms of epicness and how you will remember it, it seems to me that it does not make a huge difference whether you have that clear story or not. Do you agree with this observation, or does it in fact really matter?
I'm bored of life, Anyone up for a cycle tour of the UK? No experience needed...... I saved up the grand after reading your #adventure1000 blog a while ago. Anyone?
I want to cross Taiga I want to walk the world I want to cross Antarctica I want to make a Europe tour I want to cross Pyrenees and Alps I want to cross Andes Above all, I want to realize my dreams
I wish I could leave my house without being afraid of rapists, shooters, and human traffickers. I think it would help if I went in a group, but none of my friends would want to. I want to lie down in the nearby grassfield, but not alone. I want to cross the big scary road to get there, but not alone. I want to go out in a pretty dress and befriend a butterfly. I want to join a fightclub and fight with my friends (who would never agree to doing it) I want to watch the clouds and I want to travel to mordor with frodo. I want a gandalf or be the apprentace if Leonardo DaVinci. I want to stop eating and I want to sit somewhere other than my bed, couch or chair. I don't want to wait till I get older to be allowed to leave my house or else I may regret my teen years. I want the pandemic to end so I can at least play with my friends at the park afterschool. Idk, maybe in the summertime.
Alastair- really digging these adventure advice/ idea vlogs. Keep it up !!!

Do really enjoy these. They do help and inspire. Going on a micro adventure this weekend.
I actually find your Iceland trip to be one of my favorites. Maybe just because it is how I found you and your micro-adventure style.
Hi Alastair! I love these "Vlogs"! Please continue!
started reading your books. you are a hero
Thank you, mate. This one actually made an impact

Anyone?
Zeus Canine just did that- just go do it and have fun!
I need to stop spending on food and lux items, and save for a grand adventure.
Coronavirus has put a slowing on some logistics and my future plans
Good stuff! It should be re-titled "Ways to not waste your life away"
I want to cross Taiga
I want to walk the world
I want to cross Antarctica
I want to make a Europe tour

Great video. You're like me but your name is spelt wrong!
Nope - your name is spelled wrong. It should be Geddis. 😉
