The older I get the more I shift to the easiest gear right away on a tough climb & just grind & spin it out but I’m gonna try using momentum & shifting up 1 or 2 gears to get up quicker & more efficient & keep traction on that rear wheel & blast over obstacles with the front like you showed. Excellent vid, all great tips!
As a big guy getting through technical climb and rocks is so hard. Sudden jolt to bike and my big mass just flies off seat and almost crush the jewels. Thanks for the wisdom.
Cool you have awesome playground there and have done such a great job with your gears. I also really like climbing you summarized well some main steps to going well. Thank you to sharing those worthy tips. I’ll keep an eye here for sure.
@@TrailSage yeah Your style bring lots fun 🤩 I have never tried some fat bike I am a XC athlete have riding endurance stuff 3k plus elevation and I love technical sessions I’d like to try some fun bike it’s good for snow like here in west coast
Thank you. I did my first ride on my new Orbea bike this Saturday and was humbled. I rode on terrain similar to what you show in your 4 tips video. I live in NC but grew up skiing in NE so started to work out why I was taking such a beating. I have lots to work on, but your tips give me hope!
Wow what an awesome video. Novice biker rider and these tips are super helpful. The filming and editing are superb and drive the points home (and appreciate the huge effort to put together this video). Very well done, Sage!
Great tips! I did a few mountain trails on my old Mountain Bike, but as you tell yourself you're not an expert, well as I saw in this movie (twice) you’re moving pretty well! I sold the old MTB and got something for the flat contests I went before 2019 and for my trainer from the balcony, very useful during this bad time…
Great tips Sage, I usually go into too low a gear & I sit down too often when I should stand, I'll try & think about this a bit more next time I'm out on my bike 👍🏃
