They been saying EPL is the best league, even when Leicester city won.. ask yourself if Leicester could win a league with Barca and Real Madrid back then?! Epl fans are the most delusional
The EPL is very strong. Probably the most competitive. But it’s not the “best” league. It’s the most competitive, most physical, most money. It’s not the most tactical, not the most technical style of play. It doesn’t always produce the best team in Europe (per UCL trophies), but always has a few of the best. English players are largely overrated, with exceptions in Kane, Bellingham, Foden, etc. We can always count on EPL pundits having the insular view that EPL is center of the universe, which is super annoying and condescending. Nowhere was this more apparent than this month when we watched Bayern score two away goals at Arsenal and then dominate Arsenal in the second half of the second tie. Liverpool should not have gotten eliminated from Europe last week also, if we are to believe all the hype about EPL as well.
The championship is such a weird one, due to the fact that they have players on £60k a week and a few on the £90/100k+ a week. But I would say it is probably the most exciting and best 2nd tier league in the world.
I'd put the German 2.Liga on the same level as the Championship. There are some huge clubs who can get crowds over 35,000 regularly: Hamburg, Hertha, Schalke, Kaiserslautern for example.
The premier league is not overrated. One bad season and then everyone is going overboard. It might be worth looking at hitc sevens video on the subject. Up until the European ban English clubs were dominant in Europe. When the ban was lifted it took a while for the clubs to find their feet. If anything, this season is just a blip

Yes. It is overrated. Totally.

Fully agreed in the most competitive aspect. Although Manchester City are trying their best to disprove this 😅
@@Scottjg98 right! City are a big step above and have been for a while now.
No any team in the championship would destroy any second tier team from any other country in the world apart from bundesliga 2 maybe
