The fact you could take a full frame to the Huntington library is something else 😂 I’ve always wanted to shoot there

The Sony GM line of lenses are phenomenal. I’ve used many brands and lenses. Even Leica with the summilux lenses. The G line are easily the highest level for any manufacturer that I’ve seen. Unreal clarity.

Panasonic and Sony are like 2 opposing and contrasting sides of the camera world.
Sony's got excellent autofocus and mediocre stabilization, while with panasonic it's literally the reverse (panasonic's the only company that to-date still has no phase detect autofocus in any of their cameras).
This makes Sony more photography centric in general while panasonic leans more to video. In fact panasonic's the first company to have a mirrorless camera (the S1H) certified for netflix production and the GH5 is still a favourite choice among youtubers (even today, not many cameras offer 4k60fps with no crop the way the GH5 does).

*How far away from the camera are you?* Looking at the 24mm vs 35mm and either an A7C or A7IV. I have a small room, and would have the camera on a tripod at my desk.

I have the 35mm and a a7c shooting in a small room. Lots of room on the camera to move around... You won't regret it. Personally id get the 24mm for video work but I enjoy taking pictures also so the 35mm is best of both worlds.

I love that 35mm G Master lens. Makes me want to switch to Sony for that lens alone. There really isn’t a decent 35mm equivalent on the Fujifilm system. Hopefully if an a7 IV is in the works then I can make the switch.

Ohhhhh I loved this video so much. It's always great seeing what youtubers use for their toys. I kind of thought you used a Panasonic, maybe one of the G5 or G7 cameras. The Sony cameras are pretty feature-packed for sure. I've been shooting on the Sony A73 for some time myself. Does the focus breathing on the 35 1.4 bother you? It's much less severe on the 35 1.8.

Been looking at this lens… do you have any focus breathing issues?

You could adjust the focus tracking sensitivity to help with this
