Thats a 7.3, if it wasn't too abused and the fluids were changed somewhere around factory maintenance schedule that engine should easily go 500k to 750k miles. The guy in the comments was right when he said thats not how you start that truck, you need to turn the key one click until the glow plugs heat things up a bit about 15 seconds and the sgiggly light on the dash shuts off then in gauge the starter. I have a 02 and I have people walk up to me all the time wanting to buy it, they are perhaps the best engine ever put into a pickup.
This is a common misconception. it is not necessary to wait on the glow plugs unless it is stupid cold outside. Like in the teens or less. So the vast majority of the time you can just turn the key and start it. People just say things or repeat things like that and assume its true when its not.
Glad you could get it running and sell so fast. Nothing wrong with a quick flip Tyler. Enjoyed the video my friend 😁👍 Keep at it, be safe and happy wrenching 🔩🔧
first thing you need to check is your valley hpop area for leaks and lines are seals up tight and glow plug connectors are all good under the valve cover are you glow plug harness are notorious for coming un done will leave you stranded in limp mode but it worse than limp its usually dead right there will run rough than die never restarting
Hey man I don't know if you're up for this but I was wondering if you'd be interested in letting me buy this truck off you for 1,5 I don't know if that is enough for you but it's what I can do rn.

Same here with my '97 F250 with the 7.3 lol. Its at 220K miles so it should last the rest of my life.

That turned out to be a good flip for you. It’s nice to win one once in awhile. Plus the kids made bank.
That's awesome Tyler! Another great video in the books, another saved vehicle my friend! Blessings and respect!
Thank you x2!!
I'm glad I'm not the only person out there saving these awesome trucks!
Thankyou, I try, when the pocket book allows.
@tcfinds same here, lol. I have a lot of project vehicles.
Hard cold starting can be glow plugs or a leak in the return lines
When you talk, its like the perfect mixture of Ryan Reynolds and T.J. Miller
Ha! Never heard that one. But I can see that..maybe!
Thank God it's a 2003 7.3 and not a 6.0. I had a 2001 7.3 and it was great this coming from a Chevy guy. Glow plug relay was a common failure.
Yeah if it was a 6.0 I probably would’ve passed on it.
Replace with white rodgers gpr and ur good for life.
If the owner lost the title they should go to the DMV and apply for a duplicate title. Nevermind you sold it. Nice flip.
Oh he did and I had a title when I sold it, no worries there.
Great episode. I really enjoyed it
Thanks!
All my life a dream to have a beautiful ford 7.3 from 2000 to 2005 year they are awesome car and you bought for less than $2000 its amaizing.
Great find, TC.
Thank ya kindly
I look for trucks like this all the time I can't find nothing trying to find a truck to replace the one I had when I was married had to sell
I happened to be building a fence as these folks house and had to ask.
The rails you’re missing for the window are the rails that were sitting in the back seat you said were junk that you weren’t gonna need those?
Nah those were for some drawers. The mounts were built into the window
Thats a sporty's electronic E6B. Used for aviation calculations
Makes sense! There was an aviation dvd in the back.
Nice flip
It really was, low key, I kinda wish I had kept it.
How do you kill a 7.3 powerstroke that’s actually impressive
Good find!!! Very cool!
Thanks!
Make more videos on it and fixing it up
Would if I could be she got sold!
You should buy another

That’s not how you start a diesal
Good thing it’s not a diesal.
Your right! We needed much more starter fluid!!!!
