    This video answered an important question for me: "Can you use a Lithium Ion battery on a tool that was initially made for NiCd battery." I appreciate it!

    I bought 2 new Chinese replacement batteries for my Makita14.4 volt Ni-mh and am very happy with them so far, time will tell . Came individually boxed and about 70% charged. £30 for 2 batteries versus £65 for 1 genuine. Bought from eBay UK. Great for hobby/ DIY use. My work tools in the van are mainly Metabo and Milwaukee.

    I’ve had the drill/circular saw combo set for a few years now and i just learned today that i could change out the battery for lithium ion. I wish i knew earlier bc I’m on my third battery and I’m only a DIYer . They never seemed to hold a charge very long and the circular saw would lose power quickly. The good thing was that the company did replace my other 2 batteries when i contacted them but after the second time they sent me a third battery but told me that they wouldn’t be sending me any more free batteries. I can’t wait to try a decent battery on that saw now. I hope i have the correct charger!
    Thank you

      Hey Seth, I'm in the same boat you were back then. Did the new batteries give new life to the circular saw? How did everything work?

    thanks a bunch.. i picked up the drill, reciprocating saw, flashlight and Circular saw with batteries and the original charger today at a thrift store. looks like it was hardly even used.I went ahead and purchased the light weight 2 amp 18 volt lithium batteries on Amazon since they were cheap. But i bot the Charger on ebay since it was cheaper than amazon with free shipping. I liked your presentation. you did a very good job. It was a no brainer and I was convinced. thanks again keep them videos going. And thanks for the links to amazon and ebay.

    Gracias for the time spent on this video, I have a question? I have a number of Porter Cable tools with 18v NICD batteries. They all work well with new 18v LLTHIUM batteries accept my 6.5 circular 18v saw, the saw is under power and the new battery get fairly hot. Any thoughts?

    Thanks for the heads up!!! I own the same 18 volt Porter Cable tools and love them but the batteries are ridiculously priced as I'm sure you are aware of. I can justify the purchase of the charger and two of the new batteries at that price and be tickled to have the extra power, not to mention the lighter weight which would help an older guy like me make it through the day a bit easier AND more productive!!! Blessings to you and yours.

    How is the battery holding up at this point? Last aftermarket battery (NiCD) I bought was strong but didn't last. Thanks!

    I’m interested in the lithium battery, but I was unclear about the charger. All I have is the cheap one that comes with a combo. Will I need a new charger?

    When i look up the battery now , (on Amazon) I mostly see the brand Lasica , which looks exactly the same as the Biswaye. Does anyone know if it works as well? Also my charger says Nicd / lithium so I’m hoping that means it’ll fit. Thank you

    Thanks for this video and sharing your experience with this lithium ion battery brand. I'm usually hesitant to purchase off brand lithium cells but from comments, they seem to be performing ok for you after over a year now. This seems to be the way to go instead of converting 18v nicad packs to 20v lithium.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just be sure to never place them on a NiCad charger, they will be ruined if you do. You have to have the lithium charger, but the results are so much better with them over NiCad now.

    Enjoyed the video even tho it's a few years old. Seems these batteries are no longer available.
    There are other Chinese brands but reviews keep adding batteries don't last even a year. Go figure.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. The 18 volt Porter cable tool uses a battery that will not fit the 20 volt stuff on B&D or the 20 v porter cables.
