      don't think that is exactly true. it is instinctual for rooster with spar with other roosters .. in absence of other roosters some will pick other targets .. lol .. i know cause i've been the target. walking outside know i was going to have put my shoe up so the bird attacked it and not my leg ... and of course after attacking a few time .. walking off flapping his wings crowing..
      so i don't think the roster had the same concept of fun but i think it filled a instinctual need that likely made the rooster life more "complete"..

    I'm starting to think the people at the dodo don't really understand animals and responsible behavior from humans towards animals. About a month ago they posted a video about a girl who "rescued" a budgie. In reality the girl found the bird but never bothered to find it's owner. She assumed the bird was abandoned and just kept it. She never thought that the reason the bird was so loving and trusting of her was because it had a loving owner that it trusted. The dodo if you're going to have a channel about animals, please make it a responsible channel. Instead of rewarding people who clearly don't understand animals by posting their stories.

Unfortunately they are a hyper breed that will literally run chickens to death if you allow it to keep going like in the video or leave them unsupervised. @@phuck8627 Of course the rooster may not find the dog funny ( although we will NEVER know for sure what he feels and humans ASSUME too much abour animals because they THINK they are in THEIR heads but they are not) but that does NOT mean he thinks he is trying to kill him. He knows the dog is not a threat. He may just want his peace and quiet because the dog keeps trying to play with him. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. He is not afraid or stressed for his life. He may just be bothered by a very persistent dog who wants to have fun because he may not be interested. Although he may be and he may be actually playing as the video says. We cannot know for sure. What I know is that my chicken used to play with me and he would follow and chase me around just for fun. I chased him too. He never felt scared. He KNEW it was not a dangerous siruation. He then wanted to climb on my lap and sleep. So I guess he trusted me and never saw me as a threat. Most of these people saying things like "This chicken is stressed." or "Dodo you dropped the ball.." have never actually owned a chicken and get their propaganda from biased sources that have no personal experience dealing with chickens and predators. I have owned chickens and here's my take: Yes, chickens do become stressed out by predators. That being said, I had a chicken and her name was bread, when bread spotted a dog/fox/hawk, she would bolt the opposite way and scream whilst flapping her wings violently. Sometimes she would take flight over a few meters to evade what she knew to be a threat. Eventually, she would find a spot to hide and remain there for around half an hour. This is not that, this chicken isn't in harms way and it knows that. There was also a neighborhood cat that my mother disliked, anyways, Bread and this cat got along and would often sit and enjoy the company of one another. Chickens know when they've had enough and will flee accordingly. Overall, this is a great video and an example of a chicken playing with an animal that isn't a threat.

    @glutenkillz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    The poor rooster.. It’s probably wondering why this giant bear is here to eat it and take its territory! It all looks like their playing, well at least the dog but really, The rooster is running for its life and protecting its land like male chickens are meant to. And I can tell when chickens are stressed because I have owned chickens before. When they are stressed they make a lot of noise and open their mouth widely. This is also what the rooster in the video did. And when he stopped, he was exhausted. He even stopped while the dog was right in his face!! No wild rooster would do this. That means the rooster is really exhausted. You should probably research chickens before adopting them. And consider a way to prevent this. Like really, It looks fun, but the rooster is being torched. This is rooster abuse. But the dog doesn’t know. The dog think the rooster is playing. And if you say the rooster is used to it, he is not. Consider it a break when the dog is not around. He dosent like it, he is running for his life. He might even be traumatized. And if you say he can just fly away, that’s not true. First of all, He would get hurt. Sense dogs play bite, The dog would probably bite at the rooster when he tries to fly. This could result in the chicken breaking a bone or be seriously injured. Chickens are especially weak because their fragile necks and light wings. That’s why they peck their heads when they walk. And if a chicken snaps it’s neck, it’s done for. Once even one of our chickens died due to a dog. While someone was going outside, The dogs ran out, We quickly tried to put the dogs back and put the chickens in their coop and sadly, one got killed due to the dog “playing” with it. And second of all: Chickens can’t fly really far. Only some breeds of chickens can, And also it takes them a while to get set, And if I were to tell you something, It would be that the dog would not wait and it would turn out really bad, It would be even worse if it was a hunting breed. And lastly, it won’t. The whole reason the rooster is running is because he is defending his territory at the house he is at with this random new giant threat!! If I were the rooster, I would think it’s a giant bear trying to eat me and my eggs. Especially when the dog “played” with the rooster! He is trying to defend his territory and the dog doesn’t know and thinks he’s playing. Please don’t do this any longer to this poor rooster, Also I recommend to give the rooster some company. Chickens are pretty social. Gosh, I wish I could contact the owners and tell them to stop..

    When you cross a cocker spaniel, a poodle, and a rooster, what do you get?
    A cockerpoodledoo!

    I know longer think this is cute/funny. The rooster is being territorial. He is not a happy camper. I do think the dog is cute though. I feel bad for the rooster.
