Just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful recipes! My ex is from Greece, and his mom used to make many of the same dishes when she visited. I learned so much from her, as well as other of his relatives in the US during those years. You are the real deal, and every dish of yours I've tried has been authentic and fantastic! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and skills with us! ♥
Yum! We are big fans of souvlaki here at home, I can't wait to make this and I definitely agree with using chicken thighs, we prefer them over chicken breaststroke hands down. Thanks Dimitra for another winning recipe ❤
Another very Greek & healthy Mediterranean dish that I would like to see, is lemon cuttlefishes with spinach. Very Greek, very healthy. Maybe a future project for the channel 😍✌
I'm glad this recipe brings back good memories! Souvlaki day sounds amazing. Hopefully, this recipe can help you recreate those delicious moments at home!
Great! Dimitra > but get a cheap: Bomann DVG 3006 CB or sortlike gyros/souvlaki maker, it's way better than airfrying. make your gyros with the metal pins and make a smaller width. you can even do a big one what i prefer in the center. you know gyros souvlaki won't turn in an airfryer. if you look at grill philosophy those guys are great but they have to much Gluten in there herbs. i can't eat that.
Thanks for the suggestion! A gyros/souvlaki maker sounds like a fantastic idea. I'll definitely check it out. I appreciate your tip and your feedback on the airfryer. Happy cooking
I dont understand what I do wrong with potatoes, or if my oven is crazy. I have my potato in 356 F (180 C) for 35 minutes. Then they go too burnt. It was the same with TWO stove I had before this. If I want to make bigger bits, like bigger wedges, I have to lower temp. Is it due to me using non starchy potatoes? But in my country that is the normal to use, and all recipes is for the same high temp an long tine that I never succeeded without it getting black or start burning.
@@victorbitter583 Yep, but I am so confused about why I have to cook on som many degrees lower than all others, and for shorter time. It seams odd. And in 3 different stoves...
Sometimes my oven burns the potatoes too. Try boiling them for 5-10 mins first so they cook most of the way through, and then drain off the water and roast them in the oven until they get color. I find sometimes potatoes burn before they cook all the way through. If you boil them first then they can spend much less time in the oven and they won’t burn
