Oh, my god, I am so homesick living in Kansas City, and these videos just fill my dark, dark heart with joy, or the closest approximation of that emotion!
I had a friend at college who grew up on Mackinac Island. I asked him the inevitable question about what the winters were like up there. He looked at me, totally serious, and asked,"Did you ever see that Jack Nicholson movie called 'The Shining'?"
This is an awesome place. No cars besides emergency vehicles. Very peaceful, buy a hotel room for a night and have the best sleep of your life. You don't like it until you've been there. Then you wish you went back for another peaceful day because you love it there.
Loved riding the horses, pulling a carriage, eating seafood, riding bicycles ... showing the grandchildren how Grandma can fall off the bicycle into poison sumac hahaha Love this island! The horses are wonderfully cared for and in fabulous condition.
Great stuff. You guys should do one about Grand Rapids.....I went to school there and my relatives live there. There is plenty to find to make fun of it, i assure you.
From Grand Rapids, cant stop laughing at these videos wondering what people from other states think after watching these and actually haven't been to these locations
@erinlovelly i realize that there is a french way and an english way. They are both pronounced the same. The problem i had in the video is there are all the shots of the island, but then there is a shot of a fudge shop in mackinaw city. Also i was saying that in the description it is mispelled as well for the island.
No fucking clue why we took a field trip here once. All that it was was a fort, and fudge, which is funny because I never made the connection before between the horse shit everywhere and their great fudge...
At 00:39 seconds that isnt even located on the island. You can tell alone because it is spelled Mackinaw. And in your description it is Mackinac Island, not Mackinaw.
I wish you had preceded the punchline by mentioning that no cars are allowed on the island. You remind me: Last time I was there, a friend commented, "This island smells like horse sh*t and fudge!" And of course, as you know, the filming of "Somewhere in Time" was one of the extremely rare times when an internal combustion engine vehicle was allowed on the island (apart from the exemption of emergency vehicles).
This video forgets how fucking expensive Mackinaw Island is. It's a tiny little island where a block of fudge costs 15 dollars. Also there is no way you're gonna get horse carriage rides or see the Grand Hotel, because both those things require fucking bank loans to pay off. At least there's nice beaches, but I'd recommend Torch Lake over Mackinac.
@airdriver the shining aint shit go to the manistee forest in dead of winter, better yet, head to the porcupine mountains with the proper gear, real snow.
@det123412 Calm down. It's meant to be a joke. I've lived in Michigan my entire life and I think these are hilarious. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Forgazi himself was from Michigan since he seems to know and make fun of all the stuff that Michiganders know to be painstakingly true.
IM AUSTRALIAN AND VISITED IN 2002 BLOODY AMAZING PLACE WHAT AN EXPERIENCE FINISHED OFF WITH AFEW BEERS LOVELY.
I literally read that in a loud Australian accent
@@mattbar6 omg me too ! 😂
Never mind that how does someone across the planet know about a humble freshwater lake island
I love the original commercials, but have to admit this brought me to tears it was so damned funny...
I like the people who are offended aren't even from Michigan.
You’re a comedic genius. Pure comedy.
Mackinaw Island is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo AMAZING!!! I go up there all the time and every time is a new experience!
lol, the transition from road apples to fudge...
I Love Mackinac Island!
Oh my god these are too accurate

Wasn't kidding. Right now, I'm in southern MI and real feel is -31°F
I have been there every year and still love it.
This just made my night..
Good stuff. Makes me wanna do one for Port Huron.
"Port Huron. It's a lovely place to be,.. until you meet the people."
Hey, I'm from Port Huron! But I've lived elsewhere long enough for the asshole in me to dissipate.
These are great parodies of the real PURE MICHIGAN commercials. The guys' voice even sounds like Tim Allen. Well done!
I swear I hear you almost crack after "grand hotel". I would too if I knew what was coming up next. This is your best one!
Been in that lighthouse before! Walked up and they gave me a tour. Okay... so many I took a boat to get there, but I swear the rest was walking!
I'm from Kentucky, and my family and I visit Mackinac Island all the time. I laughed so hard at this! It's funny, because it's true. lol
Priceless!

I think I need one about Put-in-Bay island... even if it's not Michigan :)
Loved riding the horses, pulling a carriage, eating seafood, riding bicycles ... showing the grandchildren how Grandma can fall off the bicycle into poison sumac hahaha Love this island! The horses are wonderfully cared for and in fabulous condition.
love these!
I cant wait til this summer. I am going to work on the island. :]
Made the mistake of taking a sip of coffee while watching this and almost destroyed my desktop!
haha, the camera angle of the horse pissing is the best.
That last stream wasn't a horse was it? I gotta check that. It wasn't a horse. Lol
@thedomnatr mackinaw is the french spelling, mackinaw is the english. both are used in the area.
Great stuff. You guys should do one about Grand Rapids.....I went to school there and my relatives live there. There is plenty to find to make fun of it, i assure you.

That's pretty funny, right there!
key tip, walk on the uphill part of the main streets on the island
Ann Arbor is amazing.
And to think that many people have this impression of US streets being dirtier because of the exhaust pipe from cars.
i just went there yesterday....

Lmao love michigan still
freaking hilarious!
Mackinac is in the Guinness World Record Book for largest toilet.

There is a spoof on Royal Oak
*”new sub” ✌🏾❤️🧤 - MELL DUNEY 616*
omg me too! ur sooo lucky to buy a house there!
yes true but Mackinaw is still breathtakingly beautiful.
No fucking clue why we took a field trip here once. All that it was was a fort, and fudge, which is funny because I never made the connection before between the horse shit everywhere and their great fudge...
I live in Michigan. Soooo true! Lol
I went like 3 years ago and there was so much shit and mosquitoes it was annoying as hell.
About as annoying as your post you idiot! Glad you left, please don't return Moron!
I’ve been there, and all of that is true
@externalpower thank you Comrad Rick Snyder, Mao's right hand man in the west.
At 00:39 seconds that isnt even located on the island. You can tell alone because it is spelled Mackinaw. And in your description it is Mackinac Island, not Mackinaw.

Um, then you haven’t been there.

@ManBearPig84 according to abc.

My family's got a cabin up in mackinaw city. We often take sheplers to horse crap island. It is fun, though undeniably shit stanky.
@denbren lol!!!
Apparently, the makers of this "ad" have never been there...... it's truly a remarkable place.........
You’re right. This was all done with CGI, recreated everything including the horse piss. Impressive, no?
Best place to do Shrooms
Is this a joke? This video seems as though it was mostly about horse waste.
***** No cars on Mac, lots of horses and bikes.
