How many times would you say the anker charges your phone (which phone). Do you think it would be sufficient for 4 people over 2-3 nights ? Thanks ! and keep up the good content!
Nice video very helpful. This would be perfect if it could do 100 watt input charge. The Quick Start Guide on Anker website interestingly enough shows on LCD Input: 99W. So can this do 99W on charge? What are your thoughts?
Just purchased mine and found out that the solar input on this is not compatible with any of Anker’s solar panels. The panel has to be rated under 24 volts for it to work. Anker really missed the mark not making this compatible with their own panels.
I got a comment from someone else saying that, which saved me 329 dollars plus tax. They messaged Anker and the response they got was that Anker is aware and will be releasing a new version that is compatible. So I just might be returning my 548 because I was really looking forward to solar charging!! Then buy the updated 548 when it’s released. Or complain and be sent the new version. Because that’s unacceptable.
@@wwjoshdew Any solar panel, not just Anker ones, that has an Open Circuit Voltage between 10-24V should work with the 548. However because of that 3A limit, any solar panel with less than 20V power output will not get you the full 60W solar input. According to Solar Power Supply, the Anker 100W solar panel has an Open Circuit Voltage of 26.5V, which explains why it doesn’t work with the 548- it’s voltage limit is too low. EcoFlow’s 110W solar panel is not just cheaper, it also has an OCV that is under 24V, meaning it should work with the 548W. However because of that 3A limit on the 548, and the 18.4V output voltage of the EcoFlow panel under load, you may not get the full 60W solar input. EcoFlow’s 60W panel may work as well due to it’s 24.5V OCV, and since voltage goes down as amperage goes up, this panel would be the best candidate for solar charging the 548, assuming the 548 is comfortable with 500mV extra voltage. That said, this solar panel’s compatibility with the 548 is a big IF.
Thank you for the video sir, I'm new to this world of batteries and solar powered stuff. I need something to charge a couple BaoFeng UV-5R radios, rechargeable batteries AA, CR123s, ect, a couple of rechargeable head lamps as well and not all at the time time. The bottom says 12,000 mAh at 16 volts. Which would get you 192 wh. Amps X volts = watts not sure where they are getting 60,000 from. If you could do a load test on it and see what it actually has.
@@Chidoro41 yeah it just seems strange. I thought at first 60k is kinda low for the size but then seeing the bottom saying only 12k. It's kinda pricey as I have a powerness hiker U300 which is 296 wh and was only $175 total.
@@codywest7210 look at the bottom again. You’ll see a 12000, 4000, and 34000 in the 2nd and 3rd line. I’m assuming they are adding those numbers to get the 60k.
@@wwjoshdew ok what you are seeing is the cells are 4000 mAh at 15 pieces or batteries. Multiply in those two gets you the 60k mAh. What is throwing us off it they are saying 12k at 16volts. If you multiply 12 by 5 you get 60 mAh. Then divide 16 by 5 you get 3.2 volts. Which they don't have listed. Most 18650 batteries are 3.7 volts. At 4000 mAh it would be 222wh. I have no idea what the 34000mah is about. Not sure if you have them but I would do a load test on the DC and an ac test when charging it and see what exactly is going on.
Imo we should stop looking at mAh. Devices don't charge at same volts anymore. Watt hours should be the way to go. But yeah I was confused too about the 60k mAh

I’m a TH-cam guy. I enjoy making these videos and make a little extra cash doing it. It’s fun. I do not need all the power banks I have. I do have too many. But they are for videos and comparisons.
@@wwjoshdew cool cool. I have a few and never use them and was just wondering if there were more situations I should be using them in. haha I guess being away from power is not common in my area but probably better for other folks . Thanks!
josh bro do one root video for old time sake.. i know you seen my comments over the years...
Such a good product ! Great video man ! Id love a video on the powerhouse 90 😎 btw did you catch their latest live event ? They have an updated 737 coming that’s 250 watts 🤣can’t get any better than that
I saw that!! And there is a video in (I think Japanese) that shows a 533!! Two usb c and one usb a. It’s a small package too.
Here you go! th-cam.com/video/E_lJZGUDbxY/w-d-xo.html 6 minutes into that, they show the 533!!
It's a good unit, however, I prefer the one skinnier one that puts out more power. Don't need the light. I charge my laptop at full speed, my Galaxy 22 at full speed. With the skinnier one I can charge it at 100 watts, dead to full in an hour.
You bought it with your own money!!!!! woooo. How humanity can ever repay you for this ....
I say that so people don't accuse me of talking positively about something so that the company will continue to send me stuff for free. If it's trash, in gonna say it. And this product has been amazing!!
@@wwjoshdew you took it too seriously ....😄. I was just kidding. Appreciate the work .
@@FaziCok-r6t I appreciate the response. Have a great day!
Get a usb light of .5 watt draw. That light takes to many watts
I got mine during the Amazon prime deals day. I was really disappointed with the Anker 548 after doing some tests. I tried it with :
Samsung S22 ultra
Samsung Tab S8 ultra
iPad Pro m2
iPhone 14 Pro max
I was getting only 15w of output and sometiems it drops to 8w by itself
Yeah. Samsung devices will be limited to 15 watts. Check out my latest video!! I was going through a power outage and this 548 saved the day!!
Samsung uses PD PPS to charge at 25W and 45W. So you would only get 15W from this
Hey!
Could I ask what speeds would you get one the Ipad and Iphone? Also how many charges would you get ? Thinking of buying it, but am not sure if size is sufficient. Thanks!
i was hoping the XT60 plug would be a DC output
Damn Hurricane Hilary and I wish I had this. My laptop battery is dead and I have to keep it plugged in. Sucks.
Sorry to hear that. This thing is big enough to charge my laptop from completely dead to 100 percent twice with a bit left in it.
The bottom of the unit says 12,000mAh? But it’s advertised as 60,000
So curious about the real capacity
check out the comment I pinned on my newer video of this! You'll find the real capacity. I showed in the video how much Wh my laptop used to go from 0 to 100, and how much was left. Then a kind person did the math for us all. th-cam.com/video/nJVPjchJzd4/w-d-xo.html
that samsung fold replaces your iphone and that imac at the same time.
Sweet, definitely going to order this bad boy!
Hi! wwjoshdew that Power Bank 40000mah that you showed there. Does that one make a little sound when you connect any device or when you have it plug in? I have one but I'm trying to see if it's normal or not. You have to put you ear near by to hear it.
Can you recommend a solar panel for this? Thx.
Not yet. But I’m on the lookout!
@@wwjoshdewdid you ever find any?

I like the bully laugh😅
I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Haha.
Does it have cooling fans inside the vents or is it fanless?
No fan that i can hear. I don’t think so. And I was drawing 87 watts out of it today.
@@wwjoshdew thanks alot. I live in a dusty environments so i was concerned about dust building up. Right now i can get a discount to $120 with a coupon. Do you think it makes sense at this price or wait for the potential update with solar panel compatibility?
wow... this beast can charge your car
Does USB-C1 give 60W solo with nothing connected to USB-C2?
How is it 60,000mAh if it's rated at 16 volts DC & 192Wh? Wouldn't that make it 12,000mAh? (Wh)*1000/(V) is the formula to convert Wh to mAh so? Help!
Is there MPPT controller for solar charger?
I can’t answer that. I don’t know. :(
Anker Power Banker 👍
does it have a fan inside it
not that I know of. it's been silent and not made a sound.
Try review the uvc bold 2 power bank ... You will be really impress
So.... I get a crap ton of emails. Most of the time I'm at work and just glance real quick, and move on. I just googled that power bank, and it looks friggin sick!! So I emailed them. THEN I searched my emails and sure enough, they had emailed me on Jan 10th of this year. So I just responded and confirmed my interest. Thanks for the heads up!!
Pls review Ambrane 50000 mah power bank from India. Im using it its really good at performance.
An even better feature would have been a Bluetooth speaker with an outlet. Would have made this a much more appealing device
my powerbank does better with the light but only 30,000mah capacity the flash light on my powerbank last 165-168 hours or 1 week from 100%
there are too few USB-C ports on this thing. Would be perfect if they replace those 2 USB-A ports with USB-C.
Agreed
That is definitely a "unit".
Definitely not what she said. But it works. Oh, we’re talking about the power bank. Never mind! Lmao
So does anyone have an Rog Ally and use this? I just bought it and tried my 240w cable and it keeps giving me notice that it's slow charging and I can't reach higher than 25w on Ally. I use the same cable with my Anker 737 and get turbo mode. Why?
mAh = milliampere hour
Only works with 60 watt solar. Can't use their 100
I just bought a solar panel that will be here Wednesday. I know it won't charge at 100 watts. I said that in this video.
Is a bit neah.....missed 100w output opportunity.
Agreed. But 60 works for me. Charge my laptop at 60 watts and my phone at 27 at the same time? Yes please.
The Anker 548 no longer has LiFePo4 cells.
Wrong. It does.
@@crawdaddyy mine says lithium ion on the bottom plus I contacted anker support and they told me they switched to regular lithium ion
expensive item here in the Philippines
Who knows how many phone charges it really offers??
If one of these would offer a charger Breck with it it would be awesome. IPhones started a horrible thing not giving a charging break with it. Now all vendors do not because of environmental nonsense it's to save the company thousands 😡
nice
Thanks
@@wwjoshdew i do like ur videos
60w Input is pathetic. The 4 year old 747 had 100w Input.
Why this guy bring wife’s coworker in here ???? Come to the point. Me zero interest on someone’s personal life
My wife did! I didn’t. And it was like 20 seconds of your life. Either get over it, or don’t watch my content. It’s pretty easy. And if that’s too difficult, I can help you by restricting your ability to interact with my content.
He was explaining why he hasn't been making videos. How could you honestly have a problem with that and he was clearly helping someone.
No fast charge = no thanks.
It has fast charging. What are you talking about?
👍
thanks bro!
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Can I fly with him in my luggage?
IDK do you think Subway would let me charge it in their store if I had it on me and bought a sandwich?
Anker 737 Powerbank support PPS
Anker 548 PowerReserve doesn't support PPS
why Anker?? 😂😂
that's why I said it has it's cons at the end. Doesn't make sense. But I still love it!!
They lie on the fast charging
And You Can't Take on the Airplane
nope. but they do have batteries that you CAN take on an airplane. and I've made videos on them!! just search "anker wwjoshdew" on youtube.
Made in China.....
Let that sink in....

I had my laptop connected to the wrong port!
I just posted a new video showing my laptop charging at 60 and something else charging at 27, for a total of 90!

NEW Anker 548 Video: th-cam.com/video/nJVPjchJzd4/w-d-xo.html
Anker are a terible company. Ther 737 power bank has a common problem glitch temperature displays -40 temp rurning it into a door stop. This new lump can only charge at 60w pd3.0 max 20v 5a. Thers better power banks running the newer pd3.1 28v 5a at better price compared to rip off w anker speaking from experience. 👍
Hell No !
huh?
Was this supposed to be "helpful"?
Damn. That hurts.
WWwjoshdew- Love it,good masterpiece,😌
Yes sir!!
That comment that you made about your homeless friend, completely threw me off and had nothing to do with the review. That was so random?
She was using our 3rd bedroom, which I use for an office. That office has my desktop that I use to edit videos and my lights/camera for recording videos. So it was very difficult to find time to film and edit videos. Now she's gone and I have my office back. That's what I was saying. Things will go back to normal.
