  • I wanted to see how well Wax lasts on a car, so I decided to put a wax to the test over a period of filthy wintery roads, and see how does it hold up to "dirt and grime from the winter time"!! If carrying out a winter detail or winter protection, Wax is a main aspect of the process to protect your paintwork, so here we see what it actually does, and what you need to do in order to keep both the Wax looking its best, and keep the car looking good and protected too! Wonder would wiping panel down with an IPA before wax make much difference? Food for thought. Wax might perform better with a clean panel. Good video btw.

I'm going same test soon I think, except proper decon and the wax and see what difference it makes. Will try test your idea too to see if such a simple step can make a difference to the longevity 👍

How do you allow your car have no protection this time of year or all year round even, I have to have beading on my car all the time, also get a bonnet in your yard in maynooth to try out these tests

I'm just happy enough to be trying products and techniques on this car until I can afford a proper car 😥😊! No in fairness, I am planning on doing a big job on the car very soon so see it good for 6 months at least. All my vids are basically carried out using a real world example of a car in use daily etc, it's all well and good doing tests on panels and putting simulated dirt on them etc, but nothing ever beats the real thing for testing! So I want to do it so others can learn something hopefully!

Will have to go back to original foam to see/ put 2 Lance's back to back again to compare, getting a little bit better though!

Observational note, baby seat in the back of the vrs....therefore possible reason for lack of protection on the car... parent, getting time (permission) from the boss (partner/ wife/ significant other) to detail can be tough. As it can be time-consuming to get the car detailed properly. Which as a parent of 3 children I can relate to. Working full-time being a parent and then trying to find time (begging my boss/wife) to do car detailing is very em u know difficult 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Never a true'r word said mate! Same position with 3, it is tough finding that time so hence little bits every so often! Thank god for spray LSP's sometimes when under time pressure 🤣
