Thank you for the video. Can you test the different levels of Ray Tracing to see the visual and performance difference? I wonder if RT at "Low" looks better than regular Ultra settings without RT. 😉
Hey, thank you so much for the donation, it really is appreciated! Yeah sure, will test it and make a short video about it if that is what you need. Or do you only want performance numbers?
Okay, so I tested the other presets, and I think they might be broken. Performance is identical with RT set to High than it is when set to Off on the 4070 Super. Only Ultra incurs a performance penalty.
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews Cool, thanks for checking. While RT does have nicer shadows I don't think it's worth using in a game like this. High FPS seems more beneficial. Playing on "High" with RT set to "Off" and DLSS/FSR set to "Quality" is how I'd probably play this game, regardless of GPU or resolution.
played it today. 5800x3d and 4080S. Get right around 100FPS avg while at 4k High with DLSS Quality. with Frame Gen it can hit 120 on average. Flat out Native 4K Ultra is 60FPS with no DLSS/FG.
Yeah, game doesnt run too bad considering all the UE5 tech it supports. The stutters and screen freezing can be annoying, but I believe majority of those issues are server related. Game does have some typical UE5 stutters, but I get screen freezes at times, but the CPU and GPU dont always show those spikes in frametimes, which makes me believe it's rendering fine on my side, but the game has frozen from a server perspective.
Yeah, many people dont seem to like this game at all. I am going to continue playing it just to unlock more descendants and for the loot. There is SO MUCH loot haha!
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews I'm so wrapped up in Ni No Kuni 2 and with all the end game expansions I gotta make another 20hrs before I even think of splitting my time atm maybe they will get a patch or two out in meantime
Ray reconstruction affect negatively because the game is using Ray Tracing not Path Tracing, there were some bugs and you could actually use DLSS RR on Ray Tracing preset in Cyberpunk 2077 and it was also performance affected in bad way but not too much
Just tested Cyberpunk again, and you can still use Ray Reconstruction without enabling path tracing, and there is about a 5% performance benefit to having it enabled.
@@krspy1337 Yeah indeed. Just that my experience with Ray Reconstruction is no performance penalty, and here it has one. But it's also completely different engines etc, so a lot of differences.
Yeah, the shadows look great! And I believe that's Lumen lighting at work. While some aspects of the game look dated, I think overall it's not bad at all. It is the first UE5 game that supports DLSS SR, DLSS FG and DLSS RR, and it also has FSR upscaling and FG, so from a technical perspective I found this game very interesting.
Thank you! For a game this awful, the performance is poor, with too much stuttering. I have 4080 and 7800x3D, yet this game is not ready; it runs the same as last year!
I think i want to tell you is that ue5 games demand lot of vram and nvidia side using technology like frame gen and ray reconstruction uses gpu vram in 1440p the moment you use those with max settings it maxes out vram uses and results in fps drops in this situation you need atleast 16gb vram gpus which nvidia provides with 4070 ti super and above. You will not face this problem with rx 7800xt and above gpu which meets the requirements
It's true that these options use VRAM, but the game isnt running out of VRAM at 1440p Max settings. I am currently playing it using max settings and it runs fine. The fps drops with ray reconstruction also happens at 1080p low, where VRAM usage is around 5GB.
Yeah vram doesn't really make the cade better if that the case the 3060 12 should out perform the 3080 10 GB card but it doesn't it the chip that use in the card. But I say more vram would make the game have better lows and higher resolution and GPU limit settings.
Or even the 3060ti 8b is better than the 3060 12gb but Nvidia has gddrx6. While and has gddr6 do to the face Nvidia has a contract with the people who made gddrx6
Yeah, the differences in visuals are not worth the performance hit and stutters with RT enabled. You also have to look close to see meaningful differences when RT is used.
Hmm, not sure I agree. Some aspects of it look dated, like the non-existent lip-syncing, or in specific lighting the character models can look quite blurry. But overall I think there are definitely aspects of this game that look great.
Because the differences in fps between the two technologies are about the same regardless. Also, 1440p native without RT has a lower base frame rate so the input latency is much higher than using DLSS Quality without RT.
I think the screen freezing is due to server issues. I get that too, and when I check the metrics the CPU and GPU are chugging along fine. But they are extremely annoying!
@@GOTEEGAMING Yeah, that's what I am pushing for now. Game doesnt feel like it has a lot of soul currently, but I still find it fun. Something I put on when I just want to run around and shoot stuff, and loot stuff!
For me the first hours of the game felt like an absolute chores to play and so unbelievably boring but it get better to a decent point just doesn’t elevate your expectations
Make sure i turn the video uo to 1080 p because i thought i was tripping on how the game look

whats the name of the overlay program that you're using?
I usually use MSI Afterburner combined with RTSS, but the last 2 or 3 videos I have been using CapFrameX, also still with RTSS.
RT only kills FPS in this game, and it stutters A LOT.
