Not everyone needs to get around it, and the fact those unaffected people are using that system are not proof it's working. The ones that need to get around the system can easily do it.

You get actual college credit for those. Of course, after school, you've got choir or baseball or track or theater. This whole narrative that he younger generations are lazy - it makes no sense. More homework is assigned now than ever before. Kids are under extreme pressure and all the while being told that they are lazy queers. Did you know the Millennial generation works more hours than any generation before, and they take less vacation time. Hence, they are also the most productive, but at what cost???

I agree with Tyrus on the verification of kids on (or off) social media. They all say you have to be a certain age but do nothing to regulate. ALSO, porno mags in the woods was absolutely a thing. Pre-internet remember?!
Instead of verifying people, the sites should verify themselves as kid friendly. Then adults can only give kids access to the child friendly version of the internet.
The internet would then have three levels. The kid friendly internet, the regular internet, and the dark web. Blocking kids from the regular internet at all is the only way to realistically stop kids from getting access to adult material. Otherwise there are way too many ways to get around it, and find that content.

The only thing that may work is parental controls at the ISP level. But kids will use adult accounts to get what they want. My kid when he was 8 called Nintendo and had them remove the parental controls on his DSi so he could access content he should not. We implemented controls at the router level but that did not keep him from accessing content away from home. It's a real struggle as a parent.
