How long will it take him to get comfortable in the RB and typically he doesn’t react well when he’s frustrated. Where as Lawson has performed close to Yuki in a really short period. And has a proven track record of getting on pace quickly in different cars across multiple series. In this regard Yuki would be a greater risk than Lawson.

I've only read two people in the comment section mention Franco Colapinto and I'm surprised no one mentions him as a possibility. As much as Horner praised Lawson for his performance he hasn't shown anything to make him stand out. He even lost the car with Franco, gave Checo a hard time at least twice, and was on his parent team! Yuki is definitely not cut for the seat. He is an average driver, not champion material. Franco, on the other hand, smart and fast rookie, brings big sponsors, has the potential to replace the fan base that will be gone with Checo, and from what we've seen gets along with Max. My money is on a Colapinto announcement near Christmas.

Honestly, looking at the history of Red Bull and what they typically do I’m thinking Liam 100% because every time they’re number one driver is either on the verge of retirement or considering leaving they bring in their next favourite candidate and let them learn from the current number one driver, and typically with Red Bull within 1 to 2 years you will start to see the shift from the preference to who was number one over to their future number one if you look at the history, they did with Weber and Vettel, and then again with Vettel and Ricardo, and again with Ricardo and so now they’re gearing up by the looks of things to do it again, but with Max and Liam we will have to see how this goes but given that Max is starting a family he’s expressed that he wants to do other motorsports. I don’t think he’s going to a new Formula One after this contract so I think Red Bull or preparing for a life without him and trying to get their next driver trained by Max to be a good leader for them.
It will be Lawson, he slipped by saying 'another newcomer' and Horner is obsessed with youngest F1 driver champions. Liam and Max are both super aggressive in style, I can see many clashes.

@@dodgemf1 he’s got 25 season , then done probably,
Lawson may have less.
thats the only caliber of driver max wants to compete against. Never had to and never will fight a good driver on the same car it seems. 10+ years and im still waiting. They refused alonso, hamilton, sainz, bottas and others... ask yourself why.
Daniel ricciardo?
Why is Christian using his phone voice for most of this interview 😂😆😂
picking Liam over yuki is madness
Sergio’s decision? 😂😂😂😂 wow come on guy. Checo made it painfully clear to the public that he intended to stay with Red Bull.
Horner being honest as ever 😂so heartfelt from him
Should have signed Carlos. Unfortunate for staff to take bonus cut just because of choices made by top leadership.
Yuki is an average driver on his best day
I'm sad for Checo, but his results were unsustainable. Hoping to see someone who is really competitive alongside Max.
Worst kept secret in F1
Yuki has shown it takes him a long time to get the best out of a car, he’s performing well in VCARB now after four years.
Yuki schooled Lawson in quali.
Races was 50 50.
And Liam deserves the seat? Lol.
I would not say close. He had few good races only. His previous track record is not good. 2yrs in F2 were not impressive either.
The interviewer’s voice is like listening to a skit and I mean this in the most positive way. It’s hilarious.
Thank You Sergio for your time with the team.
The next driver has a lot on their shoulders already. 2025 is going to be the wedding and honeymoon before the hard work begins in 2026.
2025 is looking like an already tight race in the WCC and there’s been a lot of lessons learnt for the WDC
It’s a difficult one for the team to decide.
HE decided to take some time out…? LOL, no one believes that spin, a week after he said that he had a contract and was going to sit in a Red Bull next year. He was fired, don’t think people are idiots. 😂😂😂
Like it was Perez’s decision lol😂
Sneeky PR making it out to be Checos choice, they seriously think the fans are dumb dont they? we all know it was RBR who made the bloody decision.
Yes of course. The should never have extended his contract in the first place
Sorry for Checo from "Checo is a legend" to that.
Christian could still get Sainz if he wanted him, I don't understand why he doesn't do it.
Colliding ego's.
Red Bull have themselves to blame for how they suited the car to Max leaving Gasly, Albon and Pérez to flounder. They’ll make the same mistake with Liam Lawson. Just watch. It’s Honda in MotoGP all over again.
We sat him down with HR and he fired himself...yeah OK Christian. Whoever gets the drive will be down to money and marketing, which is where Perez came in really.
So basically him not signing Carlos, is because of other factors like his father and how close he could get to Max, and at the same time this guy says he wants performance from both sides
WTF is this guy on about
Redbull is just dookie business man.
There's a not unreasonable prospect for Red Bull to dropping down to the upper mid field next season? Christian Horner has not had the best of years and he too should go. As for Carlos then he's clearly got more sense than to want to go to Red Bull. Checo's clearly had enough Bull and who could blame him? Is 2025 going to be the year we see Max begin to languish?
He doesn't know if Lawson is on the level of the 2nd drivers at Merc, Ferrari or McClaren, but Tsunoda is definitely not.
Exactly. Thank you. All these Yuki fans are delusional.
Look at Lawson previous track record it is far worse than Yuki.
@@ultimateninjanoob1 Thank you.
I love that I got a Petronas ad hosted by Toto before this 😂
Why does Redbull always gaslight when firing drivers?
The problem is redbull doesn't want to challenge Max so whoever comes to the team won't be really better than Perez
You are spot on. The 2nd driver is always given a very underdeveloped car. All Redbull's effort goes to Max's car. Anyone who thinks those cars are the same is stupid
Yeah, but that means Redbull throw away yet another manufacturers championship organisationally deliberately, just to keep Max happy. So weird, when Sainz was a viable option. Such a stupid decision in my opinion.
@@shepherdkamumvuri1662 so who do you think could challenge Max , because looking back at the Brazillian GP, there was nobody anywhere near him and the fact he was not even in the best car....
Max is the best driver out there,
im just a F1 fan , Norris should of won the title but the pressure got to him and the Ferrari's should of done better but their pit stop decision's was sometimes crazy ......
The Team's try to put out equal car's most of the time ....
@@Mucus1972 toas it for more wind tunnel test time , look how the RB 20 turned out
@Mucus1972 yeah they don't have that kind of mindset or maybe can't handle two top drivers battling eachother like Mercedes in 2015 -16!! They always want to keep max happy because he's toxic and aggressive and won't talorat a challenge so they don't wanna lose him
Bottas will be the best choice. Shown he is still fast if given a good car. Perfect wing man for Max.
I completely agree!
I feel Bottas could compete with max and they won’t like their “star” loosing to their second driver. It’s how the red bull hierarchy works unfortunately. Christian is too far up joss and max’s ass
Should have been Carlos !!
They will not take Liam for sure .. cuz Liam will be a threat , and won’t back down.. yuki is more tameable
Checo is a great guy but they should have changed him long time ago.
Carlos would not have signed a contract that doesn’t allow him to compete.
Red Bull are toxic
Yuki should be in redbull
Horner making out that Perez decided to go of his own will is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard in my life 😂
Yuki has to get the seat!!
Perez 2.0
Why? he's not even remotely ready.
@@sniktun1u think Liam is ready?
@@sniktun1then who? Cause Lawson has less experience than Tsunoda.
@@ethanwilliams2102 Yuki fanboy spotted
Perez has lost it as has Riccardo at the highest level. No shame in that. Incredible that anyone can drive those cars at such speeds for over a period of a race and maintain total focus. Try carting for half hour!!.
Mark Webber was always right
Honestly, looking at the history of Red Bull and what they typically do I’m thinking Liam 100% because every time they’re number one driver is either on the verge of retirement or considering leaving they bring in their next favourite candidate and let them learn from the current number one driver, and typically with Red Bull within 1 to 2 years you will start to see the shift from the preference to who was number one over to their future number one if you look at the history, they did with Weber and Vettel, and then again with Vettel and Ricardo, and again with Ricardo and so now they’re gearing up by the looks of things to do it again, but with Max and Liam we will have to see how this goes but given that Max is starting a family he’s expressed that he wants to do other motorsports. I don’t think he’s going to a new Formula One after this contract so I think Red Bull or preparing for a life without him and trying to get their next driver trained by Max to be a good leader for them.
Horner his face when the question was asked about Sainz 🫤
Redbull: nah we’re staying with Perez
Horner: hold my beer
They're not even sure about Yuki and Liam. But by preference and by result, Tsunoda is the guy.
Horner : after Checo left, I was up all night to get Yuki
Hulkenberg, Kmag or Bottas would've done the job in the 2nd redbull
2:55 _"He's/Checo's_ come to this decision now."
What decision was that Christian?
Checo didn't decide to leave.
Checo was fired.
Please Please Please give Checo’s seat to Yuki! He deserves it way more than Liam. 🏎️
No he does not. He is erratic and not a team player.
@ It’s my opinion. Given the right opportunity in the senior team, I think he would evolve into a great #2 for Max.
They should hire Bottas.
This is hilarious- and they're stuck with him for marketing purposes because Daniel told Christian to shove his role where the sun don't shine.
i want checo in cadillac 2026 alongside an american rookie, it would be a texmex cowboy vaquero team 🇲🇽🇺🇸🤠🌵
No thanks, let him retire
19/20TH
Wether it’s Yuki or Liam I can tell you now, neither of them are good enough for that seat!!
Christian looks here quite.... insecure? Something like he was not prepared what to say, bit stressed maybe
I love Checo but it's better for both him and the team to part ways.
Yuki is going into his 5th season, Liam is on race 12. This shouldn’t even be a decision: Tsunoda has earned his shot
what a weasel spends the whole segment saying it was Checos choice .. then ends up blaming losing the contructors championship on Checo ..
GIVE YUKI THE SEAT YOU MUPPET
It will be Lawson, he slipped by saying 'another newcomer' and Horner is obsessed with youngest F1 driver champions. Liam and Max are both super aggressive in style, I can see many clashes.
Yuki should have the seat, he’s experienced now and he’s matured a lot.
What i make of this, is, " your crap, your sacked ! "
Perez rode that wave for as long as he could
2 drivers let go at the worst possible moment. Not when they could find another drive for another team. I dunno that Daniel would have but still. Strung Pirez along then dropped him after all the seats were full for next year...
100 quid Liam gets the seat
Te amo Checo! ❤🇲🇽
Yuki!!!!!!! He deserves the seat!!!
“Do I demand 20 or 30 million?” - Checo’s deep reflection on whether he should move on from the team or not.
