This video was very helpful in getting a visual representation of some of your patterned wire. Some of them are kind of a shot in the dark with dimensions.
Very nice and helpful. New metalsmiths will especially find this useful. As always, thanks for all Rio Grande does to help jewelers and metalsmiths. 🌵👩🏼🎨🔨
Super helpful! Is there a video on how to choose sterling silver for backplates of gemstone stetting example gage and hardiness for a project? Why choosing one over another and what would give the most longevity for wear and tear?
If your soldering and using the silver for back plates, when you solder, the metal will be annealed and be dead soft. So there is not benefit to ordering half hard when soldering. As far as durability, the metal is the same so there is no difference between hardnesses or tempers in the metal.
Hello, I would like to ask you if an 18gauge square sterling silver wire which has been hammered to a flatten look, is easy to drill and what kind of bit should I use. What I mean is, there are bits for metal, wall, wood. What should I look for? Thank you for your time and help.

Where is the chart you were talking about? Where you put suggestions for projects?
