Always lovely to see another clip posted, that we may have missed. As to the Blue Jays Album, if I could but wish, I wish they had done more, it was great.
Absolutely fantastic interview, loved this band ever since I first heard them many years ago. I saw them live and photographed them in Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC Thanks to whomever posted this!
In May 1970 Question was No1 in the MNE and BBC charts but not in the Official Record sales chart, it was held at No2 by the England World Cup Squad song "Back Home". Questionably bad timing by the Moodies as it would have beyond Question reached No1. The tune is pure genius, as is Justin
I played the guitar for many years and I can't play the guitar intro on Question by The Moody Blues & Pinball Wizard by The Who. I just can't get right.
The acoustic version of Question would have been better if John's guitar had been amplified just a bit so John playing Justin's electric guitar overdub part could have been heard at least as well as on the original recording.
You have no idea how difficult to play those guitars are. They work their cute tushes off to sound that good. You'd better check your criticism in at the door. Those greying puppies are still doing great.
Too funny! Lodge isn't even really playing that 12 string. He's just aping motions on it like he would a bass guitar, which is his forte. Hayward rocks!!
I'm still upset at the way they treated Patrick. He was the greatest innovator bringing them into the 80's. Just last month YES had him back on stage in Philadelphia over their Relayer tracks so the fans could once again appreciate his work.
zappatx: I'm catching up with this awesome band in 2018, and I can hear how much Patrick brought to the table back then. Especially with the first two 80s albums! Reminds me of where Camel were a couple years earlier in '79.
I greatly appreciate seeing this video from 1988! Living in the US, I would never have seen this interview at the time!
They always nave good success touring the U.S. because we love those guys !
Sweet Justin Hayward and John Lodge. You are always welcome to the USA. Please come back. 🙏🏻🎸💕

I meet them back in 1994 the most nicest guys you would want too meet rip Ray thomas
I love these two together. Awesome interview.
Our son, who was born in 1982, grew up listening to the Moody Blues on our record player.
Wow! To play like that whilst chatting on a talk show...what talent
Saw them few weeks ago and they were amazing.
Hayward did a solo tour few months back and his current solo material is still really good as well.
Feeling reminiscent of a better time in England watching this!
Justin is such a doll!
I've never seen this before!
Thank you SO much for posting :]
An incredible talent and a brilliant performance.
Wow, how brilliant.
Two nice guys
love Justin and John, the music is timeless, and takes me to a place I love to be!!
Amazing to see Justin keep up that strumming on Question while singing.
The guitar Justin used for Question is in an open tuning. The song they recorded in Spanish is 'I know You're Out There Somewhere'. It's on youtube.
what is open tuning
Hayward is so cool.
What a bundle of talent they are singing these incredible songs just sat there 🥰
Thanks for sharing for Justin and John's music!
Wonderful, at any age!

... WOW.... Thanks For sharing....
He really is a poet, and great looking..🎶🎶♥️♥️🥀🥀........
Love this!! Thank you.
When I first heard this song I thought it was about Knights riding on horses. I could visualize horses galloping in the countryside.❤
Justin Hayward reminds me my ex.......and I miss him very much..The Moody Blues forever!!!

Justin Hayward must be related to Dorian Grey.
The ladies just go weak at the knees with Justin. Look at her batting her eyelids at him 😅
Nope Ray, John, Justin and Graeme in that order. 😂

Neither can I the strumming's too fast.
At first when I saw the video, they host looked like David Hartman-the long time host of Good Morning America

Songwriting is the most important
Nice! What your was this interview recorded?
And they’re going to Segway into OK now we’re going to go to Bolton where Maggie is baked a new pie so fucking disrespectful
Who is that lady interviewer, she's beautiful♥
+Larrymarx She is flirting with him hard! But everyone does I've noticed.
Kathryn Holloway, is her name.
Mike Morris, is the co-host.
@@kimwood9119 Thank you sooo much for that answer.... 🙂
@@Larrymarx :
You're welcome.

rafareydelclay instead of Blue Guitar, call it Air Guitar. Or today - grey guitar
Lodge has been a faker for his whole career. The guy is terrible. Shitty bass playing shitting voice.
He sings pretty good Delta....better than me
I'm sorry to hear that.....
lol

He brought it on himself.
If Lodge spent as much time on his bass as he does on his hair he might not be half bad.
