An evening with Rivers Cuomo. Karl leaked it to the fans that there was a special guest planned, and it turned out to be Jason Cropper, Weezer's original guitarist!
After the show, Rivers talked with some of the fans and took pictures, which was nice.

This is just amazing. Rivers is just killing it on this song and the audience singing along makes it even better. Rivers seems so genuinely Happy? Delighted? Ecstatic? I can't find the right word, maybe even Proud? I would have loved to have been there. But I get to see Weezer in September and I am stoked so no complaints.

@@spy4746 songs written for electric guitars don’t always translate smoothly to acoustic
@@spy4746 a multitude of reasons really
1) full band arrangements are hard to strip down to just guitar and voice
2) it’s much more difficult to access to higher frets on an acoustic because of the shape of the body
3) acoustics have significantly more tension on the strings than electrics, making bends much harder to perform on acoustic
I jam off to this in my own bedroom as if I were there. The atmosphere, the vocals, the guitar, the emotion. It’s incredible

Scott Meixel Some are power chords, some are regular chords. Obviously, power chords dont sound quite as good on an acoustic but it's how the song was written and he kept to the original arrangement for an acouatic performance. He could have worked out a proper arrangement for acoustic so it would sound all pretty n stuff but theres no point really and this performance shows just how cool his chord progressions actually are when theres no bass, drums etc.

Can someone direct me to a tutorial/ tabs of the Solo + Humming part at 2:34 ?
Its hard to find it written correctly. There are Two different lead guitar parts and a rhythm guitar part, intertwined with vocal harmonization and a xylophone all coming together from several different directions. You need a tight group of musicians to really nail it. Otherwise I would suggest following the xylophone part on a single guitar.
