Pinkerton is their best album, I just love everything about it, the way it was produced, the songwriting, the lyrics, and the darkness of it, fucking 10/10
I discovered this song at age 13 in 2003 right before entering high school. Even as an adult it hits as hard as it did then and probably even more so. Incredible how they made such a goofy video for a serious song.
I knew weezer because of guitar hero, it became my favorite band and that's my favorite song of them, Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite games for a long time now too, and i have to admit, when i saw the outro of FUNKe i was so happy to know that he listen to weezer... I have gotten into Weezer recently, within the past couple months, and I decided to make a playlist of the songs I like from each album, I go through Pinkerton, land on this song. Seemed oddly familiar for some weird reason. Then that line hits. I actually, unironically broke down in tears. I realized that it was Funke's old outro music. I think for 3 days straight it was nonstop playing and singing this song. Love it, miss the old days, but I look towards more hopeful ones ahead.
I’m getting the logo with “it’s time I got back to the good life” written around it tattooed because Weezer helped me get sober through this song especially.

It's time I got back to the good life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back, yeah!
I wanna go back, I wanna go back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back, yeah!
And I don't wanna be an old man anymore
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Shaking booty, making sweet love all the night
It's time I got back to the good life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back (I wanna go back)
I love how they’re all shredding the solo at 2:31 lol
OBI WAN LIKES WEEZER
Pinkerton is their best album, I just love everything about it, the way it was produced, the songwriting, the lyrics, and the darkness of it, fucking 10/10
I discovered this song at age 13 in 2003 right before entering high school. Even as an adult it hits as hard as it did then and probably even more so. Incredible how they made such a goofy video for a serious song.
That bass tone grime. Loving that sound.
This video helps explain why Domino's now offers insurance on their pizza.
If you’ve ever been a pizza delivery person you can probably relate to this video lol
I'm pizzaman for 8 years..
jacshaari selamat god bless you sir
@@jacshaariselamat9186 i wish you'll always deliver pizza safely.
Love this song
I knew weezer because of guitar hero, it became my favorite band and that's my favorite song of them,
Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite games for a long time now too, and i have to admit, when i saw the outro of FUNKe i was so happy to know that he listen to weezer... So i mean... Yeah that's it
Also Pinkerton>>>>blue album

everyone be gangsta till the black album drops
I have gotten into Weezer recently, within the past couple months, and I decided to make a playlist of the songs I like from each album, I go through Pinkerton, land on this song. Seemed oddly familiar for some weird reason. Then that line hits. I actually, unironically broke down in tears. I realized that it was Funke's old outro music. I think for 3 days straight it was nonstop playing and singing this song. Love it, miss the old days, but I look towards more hopeful ones ahead.
man I really feel for the pizza lady. she needs a hug.
I love this song.
Because of FUNKe, I have so many memories attached to this song and now its easily my favorite of all time, or at least, favorite song in Pinkerton.
Completely relatable, it’s such a special song to me because of him
@@jadedshade3136 Glad it’s not just me.
1:29 that sync with the beat 🥶
I’m getting the logo with “it’s time I got back to the good life” written around it tattooed because Weezer helped me get sober through this song especially.
Welcome back man

Got here from watchdogs!!! I like Weezer but I had never heard this song before that, really nice

This is the definition of cool. The girl in this plays the part so good! Shows what it's like working in the food service world, no fun.
The Good Life"
When I look in the mirror
I can't believe what I see
Tell me, who's that funky dude
Staring back at me
Broken, beaten down
Can't even get around
Without an old-man cane
I fall and hit the ground
Shivering in the cold
I'm bitter and alone
Excuse the bitching
I shouldn't complain
I should have no feeling
Cos feeling is pain
As everything I need
Is denied me
And everything I want
Is taken away from me
But who do I got to blame?
Nobody but me
And I don't wanna be an old man anymore
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Shaking booty, making sweet love all the night
It's time I got back to the good life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back, yeah!
Screw this crap, I've had it!
I ain't no Mr. Cool
I'm a pig, I'm a dog
So excuse me if I drool
I ain't gonna hurt nobody
Ain't gonna cause a scene
Just need to admit
That I want sugar in my tea
Hear me (hear me) I want sugar in my tea!
I don't wanna be an old man anymore
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Shaking booty, making sweet love all the night
It's time I got back to the good life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
And I don't even know how I got off the track

I wanna go back, I wanna go back
And I don't even know how I got off the track
