for anyone who genuinely doesn't know why my clamperl could use max electric: it had hidden power electric, which turns into that when dynamaxed in the national dex game mode. (obviously hidden power electric isn't normally in generation 8)
Ya I was wondering why people didn't catch that, HP can be learned by all pokmeon. But I guess thats hard to see thru all the salt

In case anyone else is like me and doesnt know how Comfey moved before extreme speed, it had an ability that gives healing moves priority. I didn't know that before and now I want to run one against my freinds

There’s a legendary for every type funny enough. And just use Genesect for a bug legendary

I would honestly be impressed to see a video come up one day by t6t that just has him do a speed round of all the matches where he was called a cheater and explain thoroughly why what he was doing in each match was actually possible.
HP electric is the only thing that could've made sense for an electric attack on Clamperl, so that's a clever way of taking advantage of the dynamax system + getting people confused/tilted
it can also learn natural gift by transfer, wich become electric if the user hold a specific berry (altough I have no idea how it work with dynamax)

For anyone who didn’t know, it’s very much Hidden Power Electric he is using, and the damage is because Clamperl is holding the Deep Sea Tooth which doubles its Special Attack.
The only downside is Clamperl is very slow and frail, hence the setting up with screens and sticky web.

@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 iirc hidden power type depends on the IV spread, so you can create (or breed, if you’re playing the actual game) a pokemon with the IVs to get the typing you want

I like when people are playing in nat dex and are like “what (X type) move does (Pokémon) even know?” It can learn every type move because of hidden power
Well, every type except Fairy (since The didn't update HP for Fairy typing)
To be fair, this isn't something that could actually happen in an official game since no game has both dynamax and hidden power. Considering the Z-Move for Hidden Power is always Breakneck Blitz, its reasonable to assume that Hidden Power would become Max Strike

Deepsea Tooth's purpose is to evolve Clamperl into Huntail, but it can have purpose in battle. It doubles Clamperls SpA when Clamperl is holding it

For what it's worth, in game, Hidden Power always reports as a normal type move, but behaves differently when it's used. Showdown is taking a liberty by making it the type you made it. This is why Hidden Power likely isn't in gen 8, it'd either be a normal type max move that isn't that good, or it'd be any type like it is here and you wouldn't need the HP checker like in previous games, and gamefreak thinks that npc is way too important

Most legendaries have godlike stats(pun intended), or a signature attack that makes them even more powerful (Marshadow), or a gimmick ability like Regression or Deoxys multiple forms
Although, Legendaries can usually carry a team with their stats, there is meant to be only 1, maybe 2 of them on a team

I believe the clampearl used hidden power electric. It could had been secret power with electric terrain up however in one fight is used it without electric terrain up so it can not be secret power.

It's really crazy ppl always call you a cheater on a game where you can only select from what is provided. Not possible to cheat.
At some point in the past you could upload team data as a text file and alter stats in doing so. I've had 255 evs in all stats because of that oversight. I'm pretty sure it's removed now though or has sanity/legality checks in place.

For other people that have no idea why clamperl is doing work, it gets an item called Deep Sea Tooth that doubles it's Sp.Atk. So one Shell Smash will make cause it's Sp.Atk to go past 1000.
Yo i dont know very much about the pokimon competitive scene. But can somone explain why the clam is so strong? Why is it 1 shotting everything and why dont more people use it
its holding an item that boots it special atk and the first turn its sacrificing both defensive stats to double its speed and damage stats. that it has all the weaknesses you'd expect from a glass canon in any other game, if the enemy survives or outspeeds you after your set up your probably done, i say as someone with a basic knowledge of pokemon.

Wrong. Comfee went first because its ability Triage allows healing moves to be a + 3 rather than regular first moves such as Shadow sneak which is + 1. So that's why the Giga drain hit first, and the Shadow sneak hit second.
