UPDATE: As some people have pointed out, there are some cases where 4+ headshots can potentially reduce the number of shots to kill with this gun and I didn't mention those. The formula I created for my spreadsheet wasn't initially designed with such a weak headshot mutliplier combined with so many shots to kill with SMGs so it only accounted for up to 3 headshots needed. I've just managed to update this on my spreadsheet so from now on, I'll be sure to have more precise values for this. At the end of the day, in practical terms, this has no impact on my impressions of the effectiveness of the gun since any more than 3 headshots needed is completely impractical anyway. Also, I've almost got everything together to start sharing a public version of my spreadsheet so it should be ready by the end of the week.
Just came from the krig video and the fact that on average the SMGs have the same TTK as the krig is kinda ridiculous. I know they want weapons to be balanced but the drop offs for SMGs being 10 meters instead of 20 to at least. It also doesn’t help that ARs have the ability to ADs at sub 200ms like the XM4 at 150ms.

How tf is the attachment that is supposed to make headshots viable, worthless?! It’s so infuriating that headshots are so useless in this game where camos revolve around headshots.
I'm convinced they did it to extend people's play time. Developers know no matter what, people will relentlessly grind camos within the first month of the game being out even if the game has the worst headshot multipliers and fastest movement in years.

Headshots in cod should never be game changing in their effectiveness. They destroy balance in a game that has flinch and plays as fast as this does, more often than not in traditional gameplay faster killing headshots just make the gameplay feel inconsistent and imbalanced

Yeah it feels good in this game and I like it. The Saug in BO4 was an average SMG in a game where SMGs were underpowered/relatively weak. It was good at the start of the game before SMGs got buffed and good DLC SMGs came out. SMGs overall in BO4 were the worst in the CoD series.
@@bobdarrick2628 The launch ones sure but the Daemon is still my favorite weapon in any cod I'm loving the Saug here as out of all smgs with fast mags, it feels the most comfortable to use with the smallest option, imo and that's how I like to play even if statistically bigger mags would be better in most cases. the pp with the small mag is awesome as well but not a huge fan of how the gun feels otherwise and tanto probably does well too but again, not a huge fan of the feel on it.
@ the Daemon in BO4 was good. It still probably shouldn’t have been a 9 or 8 shot kill but the really low recoil helped make up for that. Most of the other SMGs needed buffs (even the better ones like the Cordite). The Saug in BO4 was underwhelming. A high fire rate gun like that should have melted (relative to the ttk of the game) but it didn’t. BO4 was a lacking game in terms of MP - mainly cos the SMGs were bad.
@ the Saug is good with the extended mag (which I use on most guns in most CoDs anyway). Tanto with rapid fire feels good. PP-919 I don’t use much but I wouldn’t use the small mags on it. The point of it is to have the big mag so use the default or don’t go below the 50 round one.

really no reason to not use rapid fire with akimbo on this, surprised his akimbo build didn't. Your effective range is already cut down to the space in which rapid fire is not too detrimental.

Needs a nerf for real... cause I feel like a terrible person for using it. You'd think accuracy would be an issue but it's really just a numbers game 100+ rounds with two barrels for ~2K rpm you just wreck whatever you see on these maps (if you're playing smart not pushing long sightlines). Sprint to fire also can be one of the lowest in the game.

Full of bugs and glitches, the weapons are glitched. The games are glitched when you finish 5th you are in the winning circle and when you come first you are not even on the winners circle. I played about an hour today and had such a bad time with it I am stopping playing it and go back to MW3. Before season one dropped I was having some fun with it, the lobbies were ok but now it's like the sbmm has been cranked to warp factor 12! Every lobby is the same, full of sweats and cheats, I saw some guy literally flying at me and taking me out no scope before he hit the deck, like wtf. This game is a god awful horrible mess and I for one have quit it and will not return. Well done Call of Duty for giving us such a shit show of a game.
I would LOVE to see the KSV next. It’s the smg that I’m struggling the most to find a good build for. With it being one of your more liked smg’s, I’d be interested in your preferred stealth build. Thanks for the content either way!
As Ranked play is right around the corner, here's my setup with some tips. • compensator, long barrel, ranger foregrip, ergonomic grip, recoil springs • This setup is great up to ~26m. If you find yourself beyond that range a lot, you should use a different gun instead of trying to make this gun a laser. • As Ace said, the first 15 shots are very easy to control. You never want to spray for longer than that. Even a short pause resets the recoil pattern. • This is a very AR-dominated game competitively. This gun won't be viable everywhere. • Jackal is still the meta sub, and it has better range. The best (allowed) gun per range from short to long looks something like: Saug-Jackal-PP-GPR-Ames. All of this is assuming we'll get a competitive ruleset that matches the current CDL rules and GAs.
Can’t wait for the gun guide on the new pistol since its description of it sounds like it will be secondary u can use as a primary. I also wonder since it’s gonna be slow firing, will it replace the tanto smg
It really feels like I’m losing fights I would’ve won if the guns had more serious headshot multipliers, and I’m barely above average at this game. I genuinely can’t imagine how frustrating that must feel for the majority of the player base.
I love the mobility and feel of this gun but out side very small maps and face off I prefer other options mainly because of the recoil with sustained fire and in longer range engagements it feels very sub optimal

@@User-be5yj I wouldn't use rapid fire on the saug because of how short the damage ranges are. I bet it's faster to get a 5 shot kill without rapid fire than it is to get a 6 shot kill with rapid fire on.

interesting that for the akimbo build you choose to go with the suppressor instead of the long barrel for extra damage & the laser instead of rapid fire.
Long barrel gives extra range, not damage and akimbo is essentially useless at range so it’s better to be stealthy to close distances and flank more effectively. Rapid fire is overkill when akimbo is already giving an untouchable ttk potential up close if you’re hitting your shots and without the laser, you’ll be hitting far fewer shots which means you’ll be killing much slower in real situations, on average.
@ my bad, I meant to type “damage range,” but you definitely got a point. I’ll definitely try your build and get rid of the barrel, but may still use rapid fire instead of the suppressor. TTK being overkill is never a bad thing, unless there are diminishing returns I’m unaware of.
The SAUG is a fun weapon to use. I got gold on it yesterday (working SMG diamond, 2 more to go to get diamond access) and honestly, the headshots are just bleh. It took a bit but after unlocking Rapid Fire... I had too much fun. Anyways, back to working on Smgs for gold... After that, ARs and i can finally unlock Dark Spine
Ace could you please look into the following problems 1. If a blueprint is used for example the ames and you replace the launcher with a grip it still put a launcher instead ingame no matter what, same with blueprints if there is an optic on it and i want to play iron sight for example the new krig it still always equip the scope. 2. Maybe a shoutout to the devs with changing the he1 challenges.. 10x3 streaks is too much.. can we just have 30 total? It is almost impossible to hit anything in the air and nobody plays ground streaks. 3.and when u have a saved blueprint with more than 5 attachments and u equip it and want to change attwchments it defaults back to a xm4 standardclass. If more explain is needed i happily explain further
@ usually I stop using a gun once I get it gold, but that akimbo Saug is what I whip out when I’m getting smacked on in multiplayer 😂 it’s the ultimate equalizer
Could be helpful to only include the number of shots to kill that apply to the gun in the guide. Since SAUG can’t get a 1-4 or 10 shot kill, those numbers being in the graphic make the relevant color coding harder to discern from the 1-10 graphic at a glance. This would likely be time consuming to tailor to each weapon tho so just a wishlist nitpick.
There's no reqson to not use the fast mag with. No rapid fire. Losing the extra 6 rounds it comes with by default brings you back down to the standard 30, but with an almost 1 second reload a free mini commando grip, its a no brainer.
I wish you showed the akimbo TTK. Also i don't know if they patched(judging by your build they probably have) it or not but the mag sizes don't increase or decrease reload speed when the gun is akimbo.
Check out the build section of the video. The last build he mentions is akimbo and in the upper left in green letters it shows the ttk. It's by far the fastest ttk for SMGs. I'm surprised he didn't say anything about it. It's pretty insane how fast the ttk is in akimbo
Can you make a video on tac stance. I’d like to know if tac stance increases aim walking speed. I play warzone and I noticed they nerfed the statics movement speeds and didn’t mention that in the patch notes
Can you talk about the fact that being shot slows your movement? Idk if the last update but as a knifes when I slide and get shot I go to crouching and my speed is reduced to 75%
As with any other smg, it will get outgunned by AR's prety much from every range unless you can put your barrel up his ass and even then...! Fun gun to use but the amount of hitmarkers I get from this gun feel like im shooting marshmallows. ZERO room for error in your aim. But that's basically for every gun in the game since I'm on m&k, but it amplifies when using smg's even more.
You often mention that the infiltrator stock is great to strafe more effectively, but that's not what it does. It actually only improves ads walking speed, which is forwards and backwards, not sideways (strafing) if I'm correct. Are you aware of this, and wouldn't another stock be better potentially? I'm thinking no stock or balanced stock (in general, not specific for this gun) should be better options in most situations.

Ace, i have a question regarding the ergonomic grip, does it reduce the time for the slide animation itself or does the slide animation is still happening while you are able to fire the gun in

UPDATE: When in AKIMBO, the Saug has been nerfed significantly. If you plan on using this gun in AKIMBO, be sure to use a laser on it or you will miss a good bit of shots. It's not nerfed to the point it's unusable, but it’s close. Edit: Read TheXclusiveAce’s comment to understand the gun in its base mode, without the AKIMBO stock.
This isn't true when talking about the base SAUG. There was actually a slight buff to its headshot multipliers since this video was made but no nerf to the base gun, only a nerf to akimbo and rapid fire.
It's strange that it has almost the same RPM as the kompakt on M+K the kompakt seems tohave way more recoil but on console it barely even moves due to aim assist

0:50 with CHF barrel it says 26 dmg to the head, so in close range you can have 4 shot kill, with all 4 headshots
With the recoil you'll basically never get 4 headhsots tho so🤷♂️

The Saug akimbo absolutely fries everything. I use it with rapid fire too it brings it up over 1000 rate of fire.

Been loving both the S1 weapons. Krig feels a little similar to the XM4, but I don't mind this. Saug feels something between the C9 and the Kompak.

i feel this thing is designed with akimbo in mind. if you jsut use one, it's ok. but the real power comes with dual wield
Rapid fire on the single is insane as well. But once you get that akimbo, there is no going back
Rapid fire very viable imo. Shreds on small maps
The SAUG is a fun weapon to use. I got gold on it yesterday (working SMG diamond, 2 more to go to get diamond access) and honestly, the headshots are just bleh. It took a bit but after unlocking Rapid Fire... I had too much fun.
Anyways, back to working on Smgs for gold... After that, ARs and i can finally unlock Dark Spine

Ace could you please look into the following problems
1. If a blueprint is used for example the ames and you replace the launcher with a grip it still put a launcher instead ingame no matter what, same with blueprints if there is an optic on it and i want to play iron sight for example the new krig it still always equip the scope.
2. Maybe a shoutout to the devs with changing the he1 challenges.. 10x3 streaks is too much.. can we just have 30 total? It is almost impossible to hit anything in the air and nobody plays ground streaks.
3.and when u have a saved blueprint with more than 5 attachments and u equip it and want to change attwchments it defaults back to a xm4 standardclass.
If more explain is needed i happily explain further

@ usually I stop using a gun once I get it gold, but that akimbo Saug is what I whip out when I’m getting smacked on in multiplayer 😂 it’s the ultimate equalizer

Could be helpful to only include the number of shots to kill that apply to the gun in the guide. Since SAUG can’t get a 1-4 or 10 shot kill, those numbers being in the graphic make the relevant color coding harder to discern from the 1-10 graphic at a glance. This would likely be time consuming to tailor to each weapon tho so just a wishlist nitpick.
There's no reqson to not use the fast mag with. No rapid fire. Losing the extra 6 rounds it comes with by default brings you back down to the standard 30, but with an almost 1 second reload a free mini commando grip, its a no brainer.
I wish you showed the akimbo TTK. Also i don't know if they patched(judging by your build they probably have) it or not but the mag sizes don't increase or decrease reload speed when the gun is akimbo.
Check out the build section of the video. The last build he mentions is akimbo and in the upper left in green letters it shows the ttk.
It's by far the fastest ttk for SMGs. I'm surprised he didn't say anything about it. It's pretty insane how fast the ttk is in akimbo

Can you make a video on tac stance. I’d like to know if tac stance increases aim walking speed. I play warzone and I noticed they nerfed the statics movement speeds and didn’t mention that in the patch notes

The bo6 saug’s recoil is true to the backwards 7 recoil pattern in bo4
Why don’t you use Recoil Springs? Aren’t they good?
Can you talk about the fact that being shot slows your movement? Idk if the last update but as a knifes when I slide and get shot I go to crouching and my speed is reduced to 75%

If you played this gun in bo4 you should be use to the recoil because it’s the exact same recoil pattern
As with any other smg, it will get outgunned by AR's prety much from every range unless you can put your barrel up his ass and even then...! Fun gun to use but the amount of hitmarkers I get from this gun feel like im shooting marshmallows. ZERO room for error in your aim. But that's basically for every gun in the game since I'm on m&k, but it amplifies when using smg's even more.

I would like akimbo but there is no option for both guns to fire on one click for pc in this game!!! Why did they take that option away?

You often mention that the infiltrator stock is great to strafe more effectively, but that's not what it does. It actually only improves ads walking speed, which is forwards and backwards, not sideways (strafing) if I'm correct. Are you aware of this, and wouldn't another stock be better potentially? I'm thinking no stock or balanced stock (in general, not specific for this gun) should be better options in most situations.

Ace, i have a question regarding the ergonomic grip, does it reduce the time for the slide animation itself or does the slide animation is still happening while you are able to fire the gun in
I get a lot of hit marks with this gun in HCTDM of all things.
CHF is useless in the maximum damage range? Doesn't 26 damage turns it into a 4 shot kill? Am I dumb?

Why did i encounter lots of 4 hit kills with the saug on launch day?
Almost any other death from it clearly stated 4 hits
It's a primary with akimbo, therefore it's the best gun in the game.
UPDATE: When in AKIMBO, the Saug has been nerfed significantly. If you plan on using this gun in AKIMBO, be sure to use a laser on it or you will miss a good bit of shots. It's not nerfed to the point it's unusable, but it’s close.
Edit: Read TheXclusiveAce’s comment to understand the gun in its base mode, without the AKIMBO stock.
This isn't true when talking about the base SAUG. There was actually a slight buff to its headshot multipliers since this video was made but no nerf to the base gun, only a nerf to akimbo and rapid fire.

It's strange that it has almost the same RPM as the kompakt on M+K the kompakt seems tohave way more recoil but on console it barely even moves due to aim assist

BO6 is truly next level when it comes to movement when you combine the perks and attachments.

This gun is a headshot machine for whatever reason…I’ve noticed I’ve unlocks camos at a much faster rate.

They're in the free tiers of the Battle Pass so no need to pay for the pass, you just have to grind through enough tiers
