This is truly fantastic. It’s very artistic. This is one of the best you’ve done. I thought it was funny when you said you didn’t have to explain to anyone why this album is so fantastic, because actually not everyone gets it. This album is one of the greatest examples of amazing lyrics and music coming together. I shake my head at anyone who doesn’t understand the importance of the lyrics and concepts of Pink Floyd. I don’t really consider them Floyd fans. At least not the level of PF fan that I am. Every song needs to be on this album. They all represent a piece of this story. This album is a piece of art. The music and performances are flawless. If someone only listens for the music, God bless ‘em’, but they’re probably morons. I totally agree about David finding his singing voice on this. Roger refined his writing on here too. He showed pieces of this type of brilliance on songs like “Echoes “ but blows it out of the water here. No excess noodling from Gilmour here either. Every note counts. Some of the greatest solos of all time. I know Money got overplayed, but it has to be here. Every song does. Your editing and commentary on this was inspiring.
Thanks Gary! The best Pink Floyd album hands down and I would put it up against any rock album of any era. Amazing how well it still holds up musically and lyrically today,
Thee greatest album of all time! I prefer to play the album as one track since it blends in superbly throughout it. Jeff, you’re the man. Great coverage and awesome job. Keep up the phenomenal productions. Thank you.
Hi Jeff!!! there's not much to add to a almost perfect album..... i know for some people Pink Floyd is an overrated band and i think that's ok, we can't all like the same things. I believe it's an awesome album, maybe their finest moment with "Wish....." and the line "Shorter of breath, one day closer to death...." always gets me. My only complain is "Money" way overplayed...... Btw, another album you need to listen with headphones. cheers and be well
Jeff this is absolutely fantastic! I have been revisiting PF the past 2 weeks. I own most of their catalog on cd and only had DSOTM & The Wall on Vinyl but I’ve gone a little shopping crazy the last few weeks and have most of their stuff on vinyl now. I probably wouldn’t have bought all this stuff if it wasn’t for Gary & Steve constantly talking Floyd. And today I stumble across your video. The VC is a great place for knowledge and insight bc of people like yourself and others whom are in it for the right reasons. 👊🏻🙏🏻 Keep up the great work, this one is phenomenal.
Thank you! This album has been my all time favorite since the moment I bought it. I plan to do further PF deep dives to update the ones I did 2 years ago, Thanks for the kind words!
It’s definitely an overlooked album in their discography. Everyone talks about Saucerful of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother and Ummagumma but tend to ignore Dark Side for whatever reason. Hoping this will inspire some people to check this album out.
What a phenomenal video Jeff! This is your masterpiece video my friend! Wow, if this video doesn’t get thousands of views I’ll never return to the VC!! There’s something seriously wrong when your professional level documentary videos only get a small fraction of views compared to a mf’n short!!! Anyways all i can say is 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🤘🤘
I was a junior in High School when this album came out. Brings back great memories, so many good bands back then, it was hard to keep up😵💫
Great video!!!!! I was just talking with Alan about this album last night. I love Breathe and how the album ends with two epic tracks!!!!
Thanks Chris! It’s such an epic album!
Jeff fantastic video and album
Thank you bro!
Awesome

afterall there is such a lack of Dark side of the moon reviews on youtube 😣

Brain damage is my favourite track
Might be my favorite Floyd track.
