- ‘Discover Breathtaking Malaysia’ was awarded Silver by the Telly Awards 2020 for showcasing the best work created across video, for all screen in the Travel/Tourism category among other 12,000 entries. This video targeted the Millennial market segment to throw open the vast holiday options in Malaysia. It highlights great locations around the country besides offering glimpses of Malaysia’s attractions including nature, culture, food, shopping and more, to appeal to the young, trendy urbanite and IT-savvy traveller.

Yeah! During this rmco period we really travel around Malaysia. Surprisingly, we now only find out that there are still many places where we have not been before. I’m really appreciate and proud that I’m Malaysian as we get to enjoy so many things even tho we can’t travel overseas!

At least the music is upbeat that incorporates some traditional elements in some parts and not the old slow tunes that sings boredom. It tries to entice foreigners (originally) and not the locals so I don't see why people are complaining that it is annoying. It sounds fine to me and makes Malaysia looks fun.

This is truly a big step for Malaysia Tourism Ads. All the ads before are mostly with soft and cultural music. This video has a very big different compare with the others. and Taniah, Congrats Malaysia for receiving the award.

This is good for domestic tourism but we just cannot only rely on domestic tourism only. It’s the international tourism that maters. We need to put in place the protocols & quickly seize the opportunity with other countries under the green bubble concept to open our borders for international travel when it’s is save.
I agreee.. but for now we need to revive our economy via domestic tourism first.. most of countries in asia pun still belu ada intl flights.. wait till our ministry of tourism figure out
Video is good but unfair ! Where is Ipoh ? ! There should be at least one important travel site about Perak, and the result is that there is no good shot even for a drink of Ipoh white coffee, as long as only one is good ! But it doesn't! Damn!

Korang try tengok video WONDERFUL INDONESIA 2020...korang nilai sendiri dari cinematography,storyline etc..video Visit Malaysia ni far more better than that video...tapiiii,cuba baca komen2 rakyat Indonesia dekat video tu...they were really supporting the hard work by their tourism board,no wonder they have become one of the most successful tourism destination in south east asia even though their culture and landscape not really different from us...its all about being supportive and mentality...

Couldn’t agree more. I guess they didn’t think of doing certain transitions during filming so they didn’t plan/do a shotlist. Another example of sometimes being simple is better.
Good editing jobs but it lacks some kind of "depth". Why assume all Millenials love shopping and theme parks? Many younger generations still appreciate nature and beaches judging from Instagram photos.

I mean what makes it truly Asia is the people of Malaysia that come from 3 civilisation... The Malay Civilisation... Indian and Chinese... These 3 civilisation are in harmony (sometimes clash but a bit only later good back like family)

The irony of tourism promotional films have long focus on white caucasian travellers. Demographically I would imagine in the last few years the biggest numbers are Asian travellers. The Chinese, Koreans, Japanese SEAsians. And in the next few years it is going to be the same people travelling. Perhaps promotional video should redo that.
True. The top four countries whose citizens visit Malaysia the most are (If I'm not mistaken):
1. Singapore
2. Indonesia
3. China
4. Thailand
But in Tourism Malaysia's defence, we shouldn't put all of our eggs in a single basket. Hence, the need to appeal to the Western market.
