    Thanks for the bobbin thread tip. Much faster than stopping and investigating. By the time I fix the issue, I usually have run out of enthusiasm and don't finish. I really appreciate your vids

    Very nice tutorial thank you. May I ask if you used cotton batting and thread since this is a mug rug? Or isn’t that necessary?

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use anything really , felt, cotton batting poly fleece anything that will wash OK. I like to use poly fleece batting for mine. It is absorbent and holds its shape well I haven't had any issues with them and mine get washed regularly.

    Hi Kay. Are your squissors straight or curved? I’m looking to buy some, which would you recommend. Thanks. Jane from England.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jane, mine are curved all my scissors and squizzors are for machine embroidery as it helps get into tight spaces with the hoop. Mine are REUSER brand, they are actually for parchment craft/Pergamano but they are far better than anything else they are not very good for cutting more than one layer which is why you see me swapping during the videos. They are getting harder to find in Europe unfortunately but I bought mine from Amazon if that helps you.

    Hi what size file do you load in your 6x6 hoop. I bought a 6x6 hoop and it does not fit.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are using a square 6 x 6 hoop you need to use the 5 x 5 because the 6 x 6 hoop is 150 x 150 mm rather than 160 x 160. Crazy I know but if you use a 6 x 10 hoop it will be fine because the stitch field is 160 x 260 mm. You can have the same problem with a 5 x 5 hoop as the stitch field is 120 x 120 mm which is 4.72 x 7.72 so under 5 inches you would have to stitch a 4x4 design or use a 5x7 hoop. I hope that makes sense. I think I need to do a video on hoops and hoop sizes as it can be very confusing if you are not aware of these size issues.
