Academy Sports has their own brand called H2O Express. I use the H2O Express 4" Thumpin Swim Shad in the "Chicken on a Chain" color. Its the best soft plastic swimbait for inshore in my opinion. Feel free to ask me questions any time. Love hearing from other anglers.
I used to fish under the draw bridge in merritt island worked at dry first throw a shrimp at those pilings under their let it sink. Black drum all day

I appreciate you checking it out. The location is awesome on the right day to get a bend in the rod. What's the rarest species that you've pulled out of there? I caught a couple of Spanish Macks there, but its usually Bluefish and Jacks.
I've caught Jack's and flounder using shrimp , I've caught Jack's on spooks and I've also caught Whiting on pinfish lol
@@TwinHooksOutdoors Daaammmnnnn. I've never got a flounder in that area. I know a spot up by Haulover Canal to catch them but never near Canaveral. I hope I run into you one day out there.

You can in some areas but make sure you’ve got a setup for making long casts to target the high potential spots.

I’ve been considering paddling that area for awhile now but figured there would be some serious boat traffic. I have done some paddling on the other side of the lock but nothing notable caught. Thanks for exploring these areas, I’m gaining the courage to try new spots that I’ve been hesitant about.
Just in the last year I've broken so many of my PB's by trying new water. Most times it doesnt go well but once you start to get your eye for picking spots.....testing new areas will be something that you'll look forward to rather than be discouraged by it. Trust me and thanks for watching the vids

@@ReelSuburbanAngler no problem bro and I've been fishing around there since I was a kid everything from flounder to snapper and blue fish but I would have to say an American eel was probably the rarest but my brother caught a giant redfish 44in on Cut mullet you have to see the picture absolute Beast

Have you ever fell out of your canoe trying to snag a fish?
Never once, but I have fallen out trying to grab a lure that was stuck on a bridge piling. Some lures of mine have caught tons of fish and I'll swim to the bottom of hell to get it back.

There is a sea wall to fish from, but not in the back towards the lock.
@@ReelSuburbanAngler thank you im coming Orlando the first week of February i was looking for some areas to fish from shore I have fish the shore in Tampa with some successes I mostly fish the bottom with bait im new to salt water i live in northern il an do a lot of salmon fishing and this is total different the ocean is so alive compered to fresh water any help would be great

I gave a few away but yeah I’m eating them. The best way is to grill it and then shred the meat and use it in tuna fish sandwiches in place of the tuna and it tastes exactly the same. Thanks for subbing dude!
