I love your channel! My wife and I just bought a Yamaha AR195 (2019) about 2 years now. We use it like it’s our C-Dory. Never even heard of the C-Dory until after we purchased the Yamaha. We are looking down the road to trade up to the same boat you guys have. We just like anchoring and going slow taking in the wonderful sights of being on the water. So glad I found you guys, it’s taught me a lot about the C-Dory. I want to do more research about fuel economy because that is a priority for us. I want to look into 2 verses one outboard. Stay safe out there and take care!
We run one engine down all the time when cruising at 7 knots and put equal hours on the engines...2 engines when we are going high speed and going into tricky slips
Interesting video very helpful Coincidentally I also owned a Chrysler sailboat mine was an 18 footer very very fast boat to the best of my knowledge Chrysler made a 15 and 18 or 22 and a 26 and yes that is Chrysler corporation and surprisingly enough they are very much sought after mine was an early 70s model
Dave that's FUN you also owned a Chrysler sailboat!! Thank you for watching! We plan on doing the Great Loop in our C-Dory this summer. Thank you for watching?
My guess is you'll get better fuel economy overall with the 115hp. We love the redundancy of the twins. Running with just 1 engine in the water we get pretty good fuel economy.
Another great video. Thanks! What grade of fuel do you run in those Honda 40’s? I’ve heard with EFI some people only use Premium fuel rather than Regular Unleaded.
Hi Paul - Thanks for your comment. We run Regular Unleaded in our Honda 50's. So far, no issues. I think we have like 500 hours on each engine and even after 2 years on the hard - they started without issue (well, the starter was stuck but PB Blaster worked). Love the Honda's - Love the EFI - so quiet and so far very reliable. Thanks again and hope your weekend is well.

Awesome Don! The important thing is you are out there in the water! Thank you for watching!
Thanks, I was curious about what the fuel economy was over all! I noticed in one of your video you were running one engine down.

Nice video
What type sewing machine do/did you use to sew for your boat? What type material did you use for your enclosure?

What is your opinion on using only one 115HP engines vs two x 50HP's for fuel economy?

Hi Al Fer - Thanks for watching! Have a great day!
Serious question. Is Bob actually Joe Spano that plays FBI Agent Tobias C. Fornell on N.C.I.S.?
