TooTech is in Southern California. The owner is a former aerospace engineer or rocket surgeon or something that started doing suspension 30 years ago or more. His settings are not by accident.
I'll bet that dark goop is decayed fuel line from ethanol. It's nasty stuff.
Hell yeah dude, thanks for the heads up!! I haven’t done much research on these guys, but I will definitely look em up. Suspension is the number one mod I tell folks to do.. don’t do the pipe first or new graphics, get that suspension done! Makes riding so much more enjoyable! I have RG3 Suspension IDAHO in Coeur d’Alene do all my suspension work, Chaun the owner is a former pro who raced for Suzuki in the early 90s. Great dude, I recommend him to everyone. Thanks for the info man! I appreciate it!
100 psi on sticky, dried rings? Work some Valvoline Restore and Protect oil in there and free em up while you clean a case of Wrigley's out of the fuel system!
With what I have discovered with the above mentioned oil, the additives work, post haste! I have actually cleaned engine parts by slathering them with it. Within an hour at room temperature, they were cleaner than parts sitting in the old Safety Clean parts washer.
1,200 for what followed you home is a bargain for a foundational part of a resto...
Great suggestion! Thanks man! I used ATF in a 96 CR125 that was seized up last year, but I’ll try that stuff next time!! Thanks for the info 👍🏻

Howd you do a compression check before you took out the plug
@@David-u5f3v I knew that question was coming after I uploaded lol I put that clip in the wrong sequence of events. It happens.. editing takes a long time when you’ve got over a 100 clips to dissect. As you can see, I’m not a pro TH-camr yet! 😅 anyway, thanks for watching my videos anyway
@@jimmy_dirtbike I came to that conclusion while watching you take off the head and I didnt see any other way for you to take the compression. Your welcome,
@@David-u5f3v I found out after I shut the bike and camera off, that coolant was weeping from the head gasket… hence why the coolant was extremely low. Haven’t checked, but head could be warped from overheating. Little tidbit of info I thought I’d share since you clearly appreciate wrenching on 500s! 😎
The tires on my bike are so old they have no date codes, but I figure they have tubes so it can only be so dangerous right?

@@jimmy_dirtbike Thanks for your reply, The YZ465 were only made for 2 years 1980 and 81 being the better year, If you don't kick them just right you can break the case, But it's easy welded where it breaks, normally you don't have to replace the case, Also the bikes are so fun to ride being a mono shock, Also you can bore the 465 out to a 490, And the 1st year 490 cylinder will fit on the 465, Me and my son love all the vintage dirt bikes from the big bores down to the 50cc, And also you can't beat them Honda's, My son just bought a 87cr125, every thing new in the engine, and it came with a 87 parts bike, And in my sons collection he also has a 82cr250 and a parts bike, also a 87,92,94,96,98,and a2001 all cr250's, He also has a 96,98,01,06, cr80/85, And that's just the Honda's that he owns, He has no cr500's yet, He almost had one, He wants the 1st 2 years and the last 2 years, And if he gets any year in between is just a bonus, I've rode a few CR 500s, And still prefer the YZ over the CR's, But the Honda's are very nice looking bikes, We're just down here in Florida having fun, Thanks again for your videos and time, Thanks Pensacola,
